DEANNA AND JESSE SCALING DOWN THEIR WEDDING
When it comes to weddings, The Bachelorette’s happily engaged couple DeAnna Pappas and Jesse Csincsak are thinking small.
“We’ve gone from about 400 people, and we’re breaking it down,” DeAnna Pappas told PEOPLE at Saturday’s L.A. Confidential pre-Emmy party in Hollywood. “I think we want to enjoy ourselves and our day versus having to talk to a bunch of people all day long. So, we’re dwindling it down.”
With a wedding date set for May 9, 2009, the couple says they are at square one with planning. “I don’t know how people plan a wedding,” Pappas, 26, said. “I know what color I want my dresses to be, and bridesmaids’ dresses. He wants a cheesecake. And that’s about as far as we’ve gotten.”
“Our relationship obviously is our main focus, and then as well as the wedding on top of that,” Csincsak, 26, told PEOPLE. “It’s not this huge thing everyday. We’re both so busy all the time. We don’t have time right now to plan a wedding, and we’re planning a wedding, which is crazy.”
As for Bachelor stars on the wedding invitee list, you can count ex-Bachelorette Trista Rehn and host Chris Harrison among them.
“I’m friends with a lot of the guys from the same season I was on, Jason being one of them,” said Csincsak, who led his fiancée around Saturday’s party by the hand. “[Chris] Harrison is a great guy. Trista and Ryan [Sutter] have been super-influential to us. We’re psyched to have all of them there.” –Nicholas White

I have to agree. Though, they do seem a little better than other ABC couples… And they actually look like they still like each other!
Hire a wedding planner, Dee. Then you don’t have to worry your pretty little head about details like FLOWERS and CENTERPIECES.
For someone who wanted to get married and start a family so bad, she seems to be pretty pathetic about wedding planning.
DeYawna, I am almost certain that you have spent your entire life dreaming of the day when you will get married. I think you have had everything planned out down to how you want your hair to look since you were ten (or at least since the time you were sure that Brad wanted to marry you – - I just had to mention Brad again). I cannot (will not) believe that you haven’t planned anything??? even after 4-5 months of being engaged?

These two are so not getting married…look at how she is standing totally straight forward…she was all of him right after the show and now she looks totally disinterested!!! May is a long, long ways away….

The first time I was engaged, I never started planning the wedding either. A year after that, we broke up… similarities here?…..Hmmmmmmm…perhaps. I hope not though – I thought Jesse was awesome. The second time I became engaged my wedding was planned and done in less than three months. (Still happily married 7 years later). When it’s right – you just do it!
People, it’s over. They are backing out one baby step at a time.

I guess I’m just curious as to what she/they are so busy doing that she doesn’t have time to plan a wedding. I know they are making publicity appearences but is she bartending again? Actually practicing real estate? I have friends who worked full time jobs and managed to plan everything yet she doesn’t have time?? Seems odd. I honestly don’t care if they stay together or break up but it does look like a they may be headed for a break up. (IMHO)

Jesse has a lot to do with his enterprises and along with all of the obligations to ABC, they haven’t been “home” much. They’ve been traveling all over the place to see the families, to Mt. Hood to do snowboarding photo shoots, in Breckenridge for some stuff and back and forth to LA for “business” (apparently a lot of opportunities are coming their way and they have to sort through them). So I can see where planning a huge wedding would be an issue. The snowboarding season begins Nov 1 and Jesse is teaching again so they will be heading back there over the weekend for the winter … I think they should scale it down and keep it stateside so more of their “regular” family members can attend. The Bahamas is as expensive as heck. Besides, who wants to go to the place where you dumped two guys no matter how happy the other part was? She and Jesse auctioned off the blue dress she dumped Jeremy in.

Lincee, we missed you! Glad you’re safe and have electricity – hope things are getting back to normal. Whatever normal is. What’s the latest on your possible relocation?
Most of their schedule is either on their myspace page or on their wedding site (which is in the process of being revamped). I’ve seen footage of them on various shows. Yes, Jesse owns home(S)/rental properties. He’s doing better than most of the guys who came on the show … and, save Paul, he was the youngest.

I’m not a huge DD fan, but I have to say that she looks gorgeous in that photo. I love that silver dress or shirt or whatever it is. She looks great.
I agree it sounds like they are going to gradually back out of getting married. Even though I think Jesse deserves better, they did seem happy in the beginning and I would be happy for them if it works out. Ah, well….they are having a pretty successful relationship so far, for a Bachelor couple.
#21, I don’t know what cats Jesse was dragging home before but apparently he’s never done better and his mother has never liked or tried to converse with anyone he’s brought home until DeAnna. I think they should skip the wedding and just get married.

Redone…Nope! I am with you on the Cloris thing. At first, I was awed by her spunk. Now she just seems a bit obnoxious with the cursing and the over-the-top behavior. I am so impressed that at her age, she chose to take on such a tremendous endeavor – but I wish she would tone it down a wee bit. I would be TOTALLY in her corner if she did. Not likely to happen though. Oh well…
#17 I would think that their WEDDING would be a little more important to them than all of the “opportunities” coming their way. Their 15 minutes of fame are about up. Better start focusing on something REAL and move on with their lives. If I was “in love” with someone like she said she was with Jesse, nothing…and I mean NOTHING….would deter me from planning my wedding!
It’s presumptuous to assume DeAnna and Jesse would tell *everything* they know about their wedding to a reporter who walked up to them at a party. I think they are holding back on details so they have something new to talk about next Spring when they’re doing the media tour to promote the tv wedding. They might not be allowed to announce a deal has been signed until Jason’s season is over. I have a feeling we’re going to hear more comments downplaying the planning over the next few months. I wouldn’t read too much into them.
They’ve been together almost non-stop since July 1st, they only spent a few days apart when Jesse helped his parents do work on their home in Kentucky. They’re pretty serious about making this work. If you watch their myspace photo albums it’s easy to see they’re still having a lot of fun together. They’ve hired a new manager recently, they have a new website coming soon (should be really cool, I looked at websites the company they hired has done for others), they’ve dropped hints about secret projects they’re working on, they’ve set up a condo in LA (not sure if it’s temporary or permanent, they haven’t confirmed either way yet) … it doesn’t sound to me like they’re gearing down the relationship.

Redone – did you see Cloris tonight? She did really well IMO! Toned the antics down almost too much! (Of course, I didn’t see her scoring yet so…anything could still happen LOL!) Oh that Kim – no rhythm at ALL! Go figure!
