I feel your pain with the doritos and the sister thing.

In a house of 3 girls, Barbies were a big deal when we were younger. We had 2 ken dolls. One was a brunette ken who was a hand-me-down. The other was MY ken, I got him from my birthday and he was a blonde. He was nicknamed “the good ken”. Apparently we thought plastic blonde hair was much cuter than plastic brown hair.

So every time I actually got my older sister (3 years my senior) to play Barbies with me she would always say “Okay, my barbie is going to steal your barbie’s ken doll”. And what did I say every single time? “OKAY!!!!”

Straight No Chaser is an absolute GEM that I’ve never heard of! I am buying their latest CD today! Lincee, you are a genius!

And I am sooo with everyone who can’t stand to see Christmas stuff out so early. Christmas is also my favorite season. I work in downtown Houston so many of my lunches are spent walking around Macy’s. And I am guilty of spending an hour browsing the Christmas stuff. I love it. But, I want to take down my Halloween decorations and put up Fall/Thanksgiving decorations before I think about decorating for Christmas. It is just irritating the see all the Fall stuff GONE and replaced with Christmas stuff when our fall just started yesterday! Our first cool day of the year! Frustrating/irritating….but what can we do….nothing. Just enjoy our beautiful Houston weather and go with the flow!

Oh, Faith Hill is also coming out with a Christmas Album this year. And my King Soopers grocery store put up Christmas trees in the beginning of October with pumpkins underneath. I agree with you Lincee, UNACCEPTABLE!!!!!

Country crooner Carrie Underwood has finally given up on boys and has set her sights on a man.

The “Before He Cheats” hottie, who had un-lucky relationships with Tony Romo and “Gossip” boy Chace Crawford, is hooking up with 36-year-old former bachelor (and doctor!) Travis Stork.

The pair have been canoodling all over town while Carrie is in NYC to unveil her wax figure at Madame Tussauds.

I’m an absolute Christmas nut, but I do agree about the decorations being up WAY too early. Christmas music, however, is a different story. I can’t get enough of it. However, out of respect of others, I do listen to it in the privacy of my car (by myself) until after Thanksgiving. Then it’s every man for himself…
