January 5 is THE DAY ladies and gentlemen. Only four weeks to go before Jason pimps himself and his kid to 20 ladies and I’m pretty sure five hoochie mamas looking for 15 minutes of fame. And he’s going to do it all with his shirt off. See below:
So let’s hear it. What do you guys think? Is Jason going to be melba toast? Or will he pull through for us and give the viewing audience the best season ever? TALK TO ME!

My heart skipped a beat because, for a half second, I thought you were referencing UT’s appearance in the Fiesta Bowl, to which I am also counting down
But rest assured that the Bach will be on the DVR–and Jason won’t be melba toast! He’ll be awesome and we’ll love it!
Jason will be melba toast…maybe melba toast with jam, but the combination of some crazy-girl drama and your recaps will still make it an entertaining season despite him.
Agree with 3 – the recaps could make even melba toast entertaining…in fact, the melba toast qualities will give you something extra to snark.
Although I’m not a huge Jason fan, I think the juxtaposition of a relatively down to earth Bachelor (well, you know, other than the whole putting his child in the reality t.v. limelight thing…) and the standard crazy ladies will be interesting.
I’ve got to get over his yippy-skippy, gung-ho way that parallels his Ultra-Brite, always on grin…..but maybe, just maybe, this could be pretty good….with him pimpin’ his kid with the ladies and all….doncha know he’s going to take some heat for puttin’ his kid on the show…..
I’m thinking Lincee needs to do double duty….the bachelor AND the bachelor spin-off (Mamma’s Boys?)….that spin-off show is going to be a NASCAR multi-car wreck from the green flag….what fun to be able to read the recaps on that mess!
he is such a good guy. i hope he does find someone!
I am not a fan of him involving his child in this process. He seems like a nice guy – I hope he finds real love.

I’m waaay excited that they chose Jason! While I’m not thrilled about his son being in on the whole thing, how could he not involve him?!
The solution to all the baby mama drama – hit the mute button, ladies and just enjoy the eye candy and that gorgeous smile!
Oy, I’d love to say he’s going to be a rockstar, but I’m hesitant because there’s a little one involved in the deal. I’m interested in seeing how they play this one out without completely smearing the kid into the mix.
Honestly, he just comes across as a wimp to me and that’s such a turn off. The whole happy jump, skip, shuffle thing he does reminds me of a Pomeranian. I just don’t know if I can take another season of it.
Pomeranian!! HaHa! That’s an awesome description that immediately brings to mind him bounding across the park to meet his son. Well said #12!

Oh that guy…. well let’s face it ladies, we’re all gonna watch it anyway LOL! I love the pomeranian comment – ITA!!!! He did seem like a really sweet man though – even if he was a bit over eager in the Bachelorette. I hope that he does manage to pick a winner that makes him happy and that his son comes out of this whole ordeal unscathed. Fingers crossed for no more “puppy” behavior though!

I’ll watch it, because no matter what I tell myself, I always watch it. And I’ll probably really like him again, unless he’s all clingy and enthusiastic about EVERYTHING. I’m looking forward to when things get “tough” and he has to make “hard decisions.” And I sincerely hope that there are some women on there who are genuine… even though I still don’t think this show is a good way to meet someone you want to be serious about.

I am thinking this will be another season that starts off each episode with how he got his poor little heart broken by DeAHHna last year. Personally, I think it is cruel to pimp your son off like that, but what do I know? Will I watch, yes –Will I enjoy, probably not as much. But what else have I got to?

I can not wait- can not wait- I think he will be melba toast boring and I am horrified that he is pimping his son on national television, but I have been missing the recaps something terrible. I was also thrilled to hear there will be a housewives of Dallas. My husband took me out of the great state of Texas, and my hometown Dallas, and I do miss the craziness that is Dallas. I love to see ladies walking their dog in full makeup, hair and a mink coat. Lincee please consider blogging on Real Housewives of Dallas.
I’m voting for melba toast though I’ll still watch every episode. Let’s just get prepared for the ridiculous # of times the word “amazing” is used over the series. Someone needs to buy ABC/The Bachelor a thesaurus.

Toast or not, I really like this guy. I was very impressed with him during D’s season until we got to the FD and saw the yippee-skippee-jumpee-upanddownee guy. I think he is very sincere. Let’s hope so for his son’s sake.

I want to banish that word from the English language!!! 25 amazing women, it was the most amazing date, they are all amazing — GAG GAG GAG!!! I’ve eagerly awaited Lincee’s blog every Tuesday for the past 3 years (well ever since it got forwarded to me)…before that I only had the bachelor to look forward to on Mondays…and I’ve been a devoted fan since 2002 when Alex became the first bachelor…and from time to time I’d read the comments on lincee’s blog of people saying they were done with the Bachelor and would only read Lincee’s blog and I’d laugh (so addicted was I) but this season I am actually almost tired of it. I never thought I’d utter those words. But I’ll never tire of Lincee’s blog…that makes this season almost bearable.
P.S. I am so hooked on the Desperate Housewives of Orange county, Georgia, NY and now Dallas…can’t wait! Is anyone watching the new Orange County? If so what do you make of blondie and Kenny Rogers?
I’ve always been a Jason fan…. so I think he’ll be fine, even if he is a bit eager.
However, if there are 25 young bimbos to choose from then I am going to be very disappointed with ABC. I hope they tossed him a few women of substance… maybe even a single Mother or two?? If they didn’t and its all 23-yr olds looking to be on TV, then I might not survive the season.
#28, I think Blondie got more than she bargained for with Kenny after the cancer debacle. They seem like an ODD couple. Maybe she was a lady of the night at the Bunny Ranch before she met NASCAR.

There is a statement in people magazine and he says he is engaged and found what he was looking for- interesting. I bet there will be some crazazayyyy girls to make things fun! At least I hope so!

I’m having a very tough time getting it up for Jason … but I will be watching, of course, because there is nothing better than watching women go after a man and reading what you have to say about it. Graham would have rocked it … bummer.
Every season I say I’m not gonna watch this dumb show ever again and of course, I do. In my opinion Deanna totally picked the wrong guy….which is obvious since they already split. Now, if Graham were the next bachelor, I would be watching that countdown clock like nobody’s business. Whewwwwwww Graham, I get all flustered just thinking about him. Real Housewives of Dallas???? OMG, now that should be good!!!

He’ll be boring but the show, somehow, will be fabulous. I am just starting to realize the powers of the Bachelor. No matter how bad the season, how boring the bachelor/ette, how transparent the editing, how mindless the conversation…I can’t stop watching. I’ll be there for every episode of this one.
And sorry guys, but Graham? Maybe he was okay to look at, but he was too dumb to talk. Like, he was LITERALLY dumb. Also, no upper lip. But maybe to appease you, every time Jason gets too boring or skippy, ABC could just cut to a still shot of a shirtless Graham. Solves both problems.
And ugh, Jeremy would have been even worse than Graham. Borderline creepy dude with clear ulterior gimme-fame motives.
I used to like it when they brought back a familiar face for the show, but I’m getting sick of it. As much as I love Jesse and find him entertaining (he would have been the best pick, hands down, for this season…to bad that relationship couldn’t end earlier) I think they should start picking new people.
Or maybe not, now that I think of some of their past picks. Football player Jesse, anyone? *shudder*
I’m excited, since I was a huge Jason fan. But I’m skerred [that's "scared" on a whole new level]. Remember how everyone loved Bob Guinney on The Bachelorette? And then remember how he turned all skeevy? I hope Jason doesn’t Guinney us.
About that word “Amazing”…. we CAN turn it into a drinking game! Every time he says ‘amazing’…hit one back! LOL! At least it’s one way to make it a bit more entertaining LOL!
#43 – God, we’ll all be in AA after the season is over
We’ll do the DVR and read Lincee’s recaps at this house. It’ll be good for some laughs. Jason is too peppy and seems plastic, so we’re anxious to see what is squeezed out of him in this series.
Just think folks, watching someone else’s love life is better than the news of bailouts and the economic disaster the USA is in the middle of. Maybe even the Bachelor will start having to make cutbacks. No more highly-paid Host Chris Harrison or maybe real dates rather than helicopters and tropical islands. They could get really creative on the show if they had a low budget to bridle them in.
Bring on the snoozefest.
I’m in the minority with Cindy & Joy on this one… I do actually like Jason.
But to say “I know one of them is going to be my wife” is just pushing it a bit too far.

What is Jason THINKING??? It should be perfectly clear to him that this format of finding a mate does not work!!!
