I’m telling you…that’s one person who was working overtime during After the Final Rose.  Her and the drama coach because this was some SERIOUS ACTING going on tonight!  My favorite was when Hare had to bite his lip in order not to bust out laughing during his awkward third wheel moment when Melissa was being thrown under the bus.

Twenty-four.  That’s how many times Jason cried tonight.  Ironically, it’s also the number of crotch shots during Molly’s naughty massage.  Coincidence?  I think not.

Yes I’m annoyed.  Yes I think Jason is a d-bag and ABC is in it for the ratings.  I got sucked in for sure and definitely had something WAY MORE dramatic in my imagination than what happened.  However, I do feel sorry for Melissa.  Uncool that Jason and Molly mugged down moments after Mel is sent home in the rejection limo.

Apparently, there’s a part two tomorrow night.  I’m sure it’s going to be an hour long session of ABC and Hare convincing us that this is not a scripted show.  Just like the Hills.

I’ll have a recap tomorrow night.  After the After the Final Rose part 2.  I’m going to see my Ukrainian now.  Double date with Jillian, eh?

  1. Melissa Said,

I am completely baffled at the ending. I cannot believe that is what happened and again I feel awful for Melissa. I just hope Jason has a good run, because his track record is not the best. Divorced, Denied Proposal, has a great girl but dumps her on national TV, to now he is “completely in love” for the 4th time!!!!!!

  2. Brooke Said,

And after all this time I thought Jason was such an amazing guy! I feel so bad for Melissa, there was no need for him to dump her on camera then makeout with Molly. Not cool Jason

  3. Carolyn Said,

Regardless of what Jason claims he had to do on national tv, the making out with Molly shortly after breaking up with Melissa is tacky. I feel Jason is immature and is setting a bad example for his son. I will never watch the bachelor again, regardless of how scripted or not this show happens to be.
I hope Melissa finds true happiness and can put all of this behind her.

  4. adriana Said,

YES. I am so completely irritated with ABC. Jackholes. Poor Melissa. If they’d REALLY respected them all, they wouldn’t have let Jason dump Melissa on screen, then make out with Molly moments later. Douche.

  5. Matatagirl Said,

I am so disappointed with this show. Is it so wrong to have a happily ever after? I know that ABC was in it for the ratings, but their plans may have backfired on them. There are A LOT of PISSED people out there.

You could tell it was all contrived, from Molly’s foreshadowing in the rose ceremony to the fake crying, it was awful. But I think that Melissa was spot on. She deserves better, and if Molly and Jason were somehow in on this with the producers, or OHCH, or the intern, then they deserve each other. I honestly don’t know if I can watch this again. But I’m sticking with Lincee 100%.

  6. adriana Said,

Also? Jason has crappy taste in engagement rings.

  7. Kristan Said,

I just loved how Molly kept looking over at Hare with her deer in the headlights expression, almost saying can we PLEASE cut to commercial so I can process some of this?!

(btw, a group of fellow greenbean haters were watching the show rocking our side ponytails & scarves) No spray tans.

  8. adriana Said,

Go Melissa, by the way, for giving him a piece of her mind. I hope she ripped him a new one once they were off camera.

  9. Andrea Said,

Now I know why Jason’s first wife divorced him. He’s a drama queen who wants what he can’t have. And even if Melissa wasn’t right for him, it was really tacky of him to dump her on TV (although I admit that like a car accident, I couldn’t look away).

  10. MissingMeeps Said,

I am disgusted. So tomorrow is going to put a spin on it night? Yuck.

  11. abc intern Said,

i’m going to go ahead and assume that the abc intern is a slender male and had all of jason’s suits tailored to fit him because he wrongly assumed they were the same size. jason’s suits and ties have been horrendous all season, but tonight’s suit was especially strange because it matched perfectly molly’s dress. foreshadowing?…hmmm…

anyone else notice the editing in favor of molly tonight instead of melissa? abc knew we’d be pissed and tried to show molly in a more positive light so we’d feel better about jason dumping melissa for molly. the moment i began to not care who he picked because i knew he was not in the game for marriage was when he told jillian he did not want to be married to his best friend. seriously, i’ve never seen a dude play the field more except maybe bob. jason’s tongue was down everyone’s throat, even stalker shannon. this guy was desperate for some play, and he got it. molly is obviously the more physical of the two, and melissa seemed to genuinely want to settle down and have a family. i’m pretty sure jason mistakes “chemistry” for “fondling and heavy petting”.

i also don’t believe that ty lives with jason or has much to do with his father other than holidays and occasional weekends. i’m surprised he doesn’t have a slew of illegitimate children from this season!

    so, so, so disappointed

  12. TD Said,

Have you ever thought that for ratings, to draw us in (admit it we all did besides lincee)

that reality steve had a contract from ABC to give us the “spoiler”??? he was dead on and hit US Weekly Magazine……

Have you ever thought about that? Did it tune us in? Yes! Did it leave us to want to know what happened tomorrow? That is a question

  13. MissingMeeps Said,

Jason says, ” it just wasn’t the same after we got engaged…”! No kidding, no cameras, no fancy settings, no girls waiting in line to fuss over me! What an idiot.

If it was not scripted, then there sure were a lot of convenient “lines” to film! How lucky they spouted the things that would lead us down this road. Not.

If they did not know the script how did they know to close the set?? What a set up. Molly even said their relationship started out physical…well, so much for Jason thinking with his head. Just saying.

  14. JasonSucks Said,

I thought it was funny that Ty took to Melissa and had to be prompted to like and warm up to Molly.

Whenever they showed Melissa she and Jason were snuggled right up together. Between Molly and Jason was a pillow or distance! I guess he wanted the physical one that he was less sure of.

  15. Tara Said,

#13 ~ Of COURSE Jason was thinking with his head, honey! Just not the head that sits on top of his neck, that’s all.

    What a pig. I’m sick.

  16. Kat Atomic Said,

It all felt so contrived. I’m sure J stood in front of his mirror with a hairbrush and practiced all those charming lines. J is such a diva girly man. I’m surprised J didn’t try to kiss Mel and tell her how amazing and awesome she was for returning the ring (that he’ll eventually hock on ebay). I really hope ABC doesn’t bring J back for another run when he and Mol part ways, because you know, real life is just so tough and all and he’ll have to evaluate what’s right for him and follow his heart, blah, blah, blah. My advice to J is to go the way of Bret Michaels and have a Rock of Love Bus. I wasted three hours for nothing tonight.

  17. sfomelissa Said,

I said it before, I’ll say it again. Fraud. The. Whole. Da**. Thing. It’s irrelevant who was or was not part of the hoax (Reality Steve and the rags), because we were going to watch the finale, regardless of what was rumored, reported, whatever. We were all played like a virtuoso with a stolen violin.

Lincee held her ground, wanted to believe in the program she’s been recapping for all of us for a long, long time. She puts far more time and energy into it, principally for our enjoyment and amusement, and I for one am pissed that she’s been duped almost more than the rest of us.

So tomorrow we get the news that Jilian is the next lamb up for slaughter. Were it me, I’d be running with Grandma for Northern Canada, as fast as my legs could carry me, bringing Lincee along for the ride.

Fraud. Fraud. Fraud. And I’m especially disappointed in OHCH’s part in this pathetic charade.

  18. Arman Said,

I’m taking a contrarian view on this.

I don’t think it’s right for you all to judge Jason with such hate and bitterness. Give me a brake. Life is not a little fairly tell where everything is balfo and white. You think you could do any better in his shoes? No!! He was put into a very unconventional situation to find love and he probably did the best he could. Why did you idolize Jason like he was the perfect bachelor? Shame on you. You forgot this was REALITY and it went exactly how real life happens. People aren’t perfect and they do the best with what they have. Jason manned up. He came on television and in front of millions of people admitted he made a mistake. How many of you judgemental people have admitted your failures in public? What did you want him to do? Stay with Melissa and try to make it work, get married, have a couple kids, and 10 years later get a divorce like 50% of America these days?

I think you all should be happy that you were entertained by an absolutly roller coaster ending. You got your moneys worth. Did you actually watch the Bachelor hoping to have your perceptions of love validated? I have news for you. You might wanna stick to Cinderella.

Now I can’t predict the future but what if in fact he and Molly end up togethor for life. Maybe he had a legit reason like 4 other guys before him for dumping her. You don’t know and you shouldn’t judge so quickly.

  19. sfomelissa Said,

Oh, and the whole Duh-anna visit to NZ — could ABC possibly believe the expense of shipping that nitwit down to NZ to ask for another chance was going to produce some great result? Did SHE honestly believe he’d say “OK baby, just let me dump these two broads I’m screwing around with real quick, and we’ll get together!”?

From the beginning this show has had a selection of crazies every season – the busty “princess” from Texas in the “Prince Lorenzo” series comes to mind, and this season’s Mental Dental — but it seems as though the “contestants” have gotten a bit more mature and better, perhaps as a result of blog comments about how absurd many of them were.

So what does ABC do? They come up with a Bachelor we’re supposed to adore because he’s SUCH a devoted dad, and was SO wronged by Duh-anna, and they concoct a completely ludicrous ending that leaves most of us feeling like we need a hot shower.

Oh yeah — THIS is great tv, isn’t it folks?

  20. Trish Said,

All I can say is that Lincee was sure given a lot of material for her final episode update! Can’t wait to read it!

  21. Help me Please Said,

I just found your site… great read.
I am desperately trying to find where the turquoise necklace Megan wore so often came from.
Do you or any of your readers know?
Thank you SO MUCH for help!

  22. Pathetic Said,

Even though I believe that this was probably not set up from the very beginning, like RS was saying, I think Jason sucks. If he was going to break up with Melissa, why did he have to do it on national television? If he would of done the breakup before and came on the ATFR to talk about it and ask Molly back wouldnt we have been watching anyway. Wouldnt this have been just as dramatic? Now he just looks like douche bag. I forced my bf to watch with me and even he was saying that this guy is a jerk! And everyone who said he is a drama queen is totally right..

  23. ThisShowMakesMeCrazy Said,

Did the AFTR remind anyone of the scene in Hope Floats when the “best friend” tells Birdie that she’s sleeping with her husband?

  24. Willstillwatch Said,

    #12
i absolutely think the same thing.

  25. Aunt B Said,

Jason is a weenie….I’ve thought all along (way back to the Dee-awwwwn-a days) he was too girly and soft….for ABC to think that I would fall for the D to just show back up in NZ to offer advice…that was planned…new the moment of impact for this train wreck right then….

Melissa was a little too cheerleader-ish for my taste…but then I don’t shake sheets with women and thought well, maybe Jason really did see something in her….I certainly didn’t expect a long term thing….did you catch Melissa calling him a bastard as he was spewing forth…..too bad the intern was holding cue cards….if given the chance, I think Mel would have given the wuss a blessing that only a real Texas girl can impart…ugly venacular and all…now that I would have paid to see on national tv….why couldn’t Mel just slapped the crap out of him right there…..left a mark for Molly to see?

Molly is absolutely nuts if she lets this guy have a chance……but we know she is….what a shame for her to swap spit with him on tv with absolutely no thought…..does the girl not realize she’s the runner-up….in my book runner-up is First Place Loser….

ABC had this thing planned from the get go…..who’s with me?

  26. Stephanie Said,

    that. was. fake.

My husband and I both sat there laughing out loud at the acting. It was bad. And there was lots of it.

And as others have pointed out, WAY too many “foreshadowing moments”. And Molly didn’t look one bit *genuinely* surprised at the Rose Ceremony. She looked like a person pretending to be surprised – like my kids on Christmas morning when they were “shocked” to be getting a Wii, despite the fact they snuck in my room and saw it a week beforehand. That look.

When has a runner-up contestant EVER said they want the person back, they have dreamed that the bachelor would say it was a mistake. And then, shockingly, the first time a runner up says that, that very thing happens?

    fake.

  27. Kendall Said,

Arman – Just like you said, it’s reality tv. If they put themselves on national tv, then I have every right to judge, pick my favorites, and bad mouth the ones I dont like. As Lincee put it, Fair is fair! We all get to bash Jason if we want to, you have your right to stand up for the dbag, and all’s fair in love and Bachelorette dumping.

And I totally agree about the crappy engagement ring selection.. my husband and I were trying to figure out what shape of stone was in the main setting… sideways oval?? Just… weird.

  28. Shameless Said,

The whole Deanna thing was just dumb. I mean, I knew it was going to be dumb, but it was dumber than even my wildest dreams. Can you tell me there is even ONE person in the universe who believed she really wanted Jason back? That whole segment was sooooo bad and stupid.

Also, #6 adriana, lol about the ring! I thought that too. :)

  29. realityatitsbest Said,

You all do know that ABC is popping champagne bottles everywhere, it worked…they managed to add 3M viewers over the last season and get a ton of press…and all the actors prostituted themselves for the money and fame…it’s classic Hollywood people!

  30. Shopgirl Said,

I think Reality Steve is full of crap about this being planned out by ABC. Yes, he was right about Jason breaking up with Melissa and moving on to Molly during the ATFR, but I don’t believe it was scripted from the beginning.

All season long, folks have been talking about how Jason has a lousy poker face. Now he’s being accused of acting out this whole thing…

I wish I had a nickel for every time a rejected man/woman said the Bachelor/Bachelorette was “making a mistake.” I could restore my 401K to where it was a year ago. But somehow the fact that Molly said it at the final rose ceremony is now “foreshadowing” and evidence of a conspiracy.

It will be interesting to see how long Jason enjoys letting Molly take control of everything. Seems like she’s done a lot of that and I’m thinking that is going to get a little old in real life. I’m a pretty independent, serious career-minded woman, but on some level I know my husband (like most men) needs to feel like I really need him. I don’t think Molly gets that and I think that spells trouble.

Melissa clearly knew that there were issues with the relationship, but I don’t think she expected what happened and she certainly didn’t deserve it. If she is really dating her old boyfriend, I hope he is treating her better than he supposedly was before… While I agree with her, that he should have been willing to work on the relationship, she is really better off. I hope she finds real happiness.

  31. Kristi Said,

Wow. I just can’t wait for Lincee’s take! My ONLY problem/question is why did Melissa agree to go on that ATFR show? She very clearly knew something was up when she walked out. She did not sit with Jason, she did not hug him, she not even look at him. She clearly knew it was coming.

  32. Jasonsmells Said,

The worst acting was the scene between Deanna and Jason. Not to mention the creative editing. That whole scene was pointless and a complete waste of time. Reality Steve says that Molly didn’t know anything until a few days after they left NZ. Since RS predicted everything else that happened to a “T”, I am leaning toward believing that as well. I think Molly seemed genuinely shocked at the FRC. Deer in headlights shocked. Oh well. Poor Melissa! Word on the street is that she is back together with her ex boyfriend. Hopefully that is true and she is happy.

  33. Aimee Said,

Hey Lincee! Yes, another Hallsvilleite has found your blog and I LOVE IT! I do not even watch the Bachelor but I get the biggest kick out of your recaps. I was listening to Kidd Kraddick this morning and I am pretty sure he was reading your blog. I missed the first part so he may have given you credit. The reason I knew it was from your blog: “Jason cried 24 times, the same number of crotch shots we had of Molly.” My favorite line ever! Anywho, thanks for the laughter. I am glad to see you are doing so well! God has blessed you!

  34. Susan C Said,

Did any one notice the way Melissa approached Jason? She knew that he was dumping her from the get go. She was furious, fourious, fur-i-ours, oh darn, MAD when she walked out. Melissa barely hugged him and sat in a very protective stance. I am sad that she was humiliated on national TV, but she knew what she was getting into.

It is better to break it off after 6 weeks rather than years of marriage based on “what ifs”. It appears that the “what if” in this situation is something that just wouldn’t go away. No person should play second fiddle to a memory like that. Been there done that and it hurts.

On a previous Bachelor, the guy, Charlie, I think, let one girl go, but he told her in a private room. I guess Jason did the same thing, a private stage, with no audience. At least he was honest with himself.

I will agree there were parts that were truly scripted. Like when Molly got into the limo, the smirk she had on her face.

    Can’t wait for Lincee’s recap!

  35. Monica Said,

Seriously. When OHCH was “leading” Molly with the “do you still have feelings for Jason” question, I was trying to remember if he had EVER asked that question to second place in any other past seasons. And NO WAY does anyone who doesn’t know what’s about to happen answer yes. If you are second place, on national television you say, “No, even though I have questions, I’m totally over him, I’ve moved on…” Even if you haven’t, that’s what you say! Only if she KNEW what was coming would she have opened herself up for that…

And, if Jason seriously has no more staying power than that, he’ll never stay married. It’s not always how you FEEL that keeps you married. Feelings come and go, commitment keeps you married when the feelings aren’t there at the moment. Geez, even DD got it right when she said you sometimes have to LEAD your heart…

And what was up with that headband Molly was wearing?? What, no stylist for the AFRC?

  36. Carol Said,

I’m watching American Idol tonight. Enough of the nut.

  37. mary lynn Said,

i can’t help but think that this is just a dressed up version of rock of love. i can’t believe i wasted my time. scripted or not it was just downright trashy this go around. he told mel he didn’t want to see her anymore but didn’t have the balls to tell her that he had been seeing molly on the side. i still want to know what jillian’s 10% comment was!

  38. KAK Said,

I don’t think ABC scripted this. I think Jason is a weenie. I think he is a warped man who wants what he can not have and is messed up emotionally. I think he is two steps off from being a man. He’s a drama queen. My evidence? His need to break up with Melissa with the cameras rolling. No man with any integrity would do such a mean thing to another human being -unless that man is messed up big time. Melissa dubbed him properly when she muttered under her breath.

Disgusting behavior on Jason’s part. He’s a weenie and his suits are poorly tailored, poorly chosen and just plain old icky.

  39. lulu Said,

why couldn’t he have just chose melissa, dated her a while, and broke up with her after like every other bachelor does. why the drama?
why is he so messed up?
why did i watch this show? i woke up so mad that i wasted my time.
and why didn’t melissa just walk off the set.

  40. neveragain Said,

WOW…what a jerk. I know he doesn’t care what anyone says about him now. He made that clear! I have no respect for him…poor Ty! He doesn’t deserve a father that is so fickle and quick to jump ship. As far as Melissa, she is better off without him. I think he mistreated her on the show anyway regarding the issue of her parents. His whole family was wierd and Melissa deserves so much better! As far as Molly, I’m sorry but I’m not taking anyones Sloppy Seconds! Gross! She should have more respect for herself than that. I promise after this ridiculous destruction of respect for him….I hope the media doesn’t expand on Jason and Molly in the least! I wouldn’t give them another thought…it would be a waste!

  41. Ashley Said,

I agree with you Monica!! (#35) It was soooo leading by Chris and that has never been set up like that before…followed by Molly saying ‘oh my feelings haven’t changed AT ALL since the last time I saw him’ REALLY? really….I can kind of get that things changed between the two of them but to do it the way he did and to mug out with Molly immediately after? come on Jason. Have some tact. Jason was on Jimmy Kimmel last night and he was relentless. It was pretty funny and Jason was pretty defensive. He kept saying that it was ‘his real life.’ blah blah blaaahhhhh…..I am with what someone else said. Fine ABC. You hooked us in but now tonight I could care less what they have to say. It’s dead in the water. Who cares at this point? IF anything, they are going to plug the hell out of Jillian being the next Bachelorette……Can’t wait to hear what you have to say Lincee and for entertainment purposes you should now go back and read the discussion forum we all went crazy over for weeks!!!

  42. linceefan Said,

I totally agree with all comments about not doing the breakup on TV (even with a closed set for privacy). And, I used to like OHCH – but, that he was in the middle of this humiliation of Melissa bothers me so much. Even though I liked Jillian and hope she has a great season if she’s the next Bachelorette, I think this is my last Bachelor season ever. Thanks to ABC for helping me give up reality TV!

  43. Manwhore Melba is a D-bag Said,

#18 – Are you Jason or something? Maybe his roommate brother Larry? Molly?
I don’t care that this is “reality” tv. If you’re going to dump your “fiancee”, you do like ever Bachelor and Bachelorette before you and do it OFF CAMERA. Not to mention, anyone who thinks Manwhore D-bag and Molly weren’t talking the whole time he was “engaged” to Melissa is a hopeless romantic or eternal optimist. Molly is an even worse actor than Jason, and she clearly wasn’t one bit surprised last night. Hate her. Hate him. Hate the two of them together.

But perhaps the worse actor all night was Deanna. I just kept getting the feeling that she flubbed her lines or something, because what she was saying wasn’t totally clear. Also, jason kept looking at her like he was expecting her to say something, and I swear at one point he prompted her. My hubby thinks that whole exchange was taped after the fact.

I’m not watching tonight. I won’t let Mike Fleiss win. I could give a flying #*@£ how those two are doing now. I already know Melissa declined to go (good for her!). And I’m really sad about Jilly being the next Bach’ette, because I really liked her. Hopefully she hasn’t signed the contract yet and can back out!

One last note: the real winner in all of this is Jason’s ex-wife. I think all those rumors last year about the divorce being her fault are squashed right now. And she’s probably watching realizing she dodged a HUGE bullet. Now when is she going to out Manwhore for lying and always making it seem like he has full custody (which he sorta backtracked on when he was on The View, and said they “co-parent” or whatever).

  44. Ashley Said,

Has anyone ready OHCH’s blog? I am with the rest of everyone here. They never should have done it on live TV regardless whether Melissa had an idea. Jason had no class by kissing Molly already and I will NOT watch tonight. Who cares at this point…..if anything ABC knows their show is on the downward spiral so they are going to spin Canadian Jillian as America’s Next Sweetheart….I AM OVER THIS SHOW!!! Lincee please pick another show to blog!!

  45. Kaya Said,

Seriously I’ve gone from “Jason is a nice guy” to “Jason is a jerk!” I really don’t give two shakes that he changed his mind and decided to be with Molly. What I mind is that he breaks up with Melissa on national TV (that is something that can be saved for a private conversation in my opinion) and then almost in the same breath says he loves Molly and starts to make out with her. I don’t care how much spin you put on it, a break up on national TV is a breakup on national TV.

The thing with Deanna…well….yeah. That seemed entirely staged to me and a massive ploy for ratings. I didn’t see any actual feelings involved there. Basically Deanna confusing Jason more and requesting people to watch her show on A&E or whatever…

Oh well we all know this is reality TV and not really the ideal setup for finding the love of your life. Good luck to you Molly and Jason but I don’t really have high hopes for you.

  46. broady Said,

I wonder how much money ABC gave Melissa to show up and film their “breakup”– I hope her dignity didn’t come cheap. She seems like a nice girl who was genuinely hurt, but my theory is that ABC producers knew the so-called story about Jason/Melissa/Molly, and offered to let Melissa make lemonade out of those lemons by 1) offering her money to film a 20 minute break up convo; 2) telling her it was “her chance” to give Jason a piece of her mind publicly; and 3) give her a shot at rallying fan support for a possible Bachelorette stint. Otherwise, I cannot figure out why she would agree to appear under what she clearly knew were poor circumstances.

As for Jason and Molly, they love the cameras and are attention whores. They’ll get bored of each other quickly (kind of sucks when you aren’t bungee jumping, provided with a personal chef and fake-playing on the New Zealand beach each day!). Hopefully Molly will feel like she can knock off the Botox, because her freaking forehead did not MOVE last night– even amid all of the passionate, heart thumping drama. Gross.

  47. Holly go lightly Said,

I’m feeling some resentment toward ABC and more than a disgust at myself for wasting three hours last night watching this crud. My only solace is that I had to grade papers and would have been sitting in my living room anyway. One student is named Melissa and I did write this final comment: “lucid, logical argument.” Had to stop the red penning of “beware of boys named Jason and never cry in the limo because they’re not worth it.” Jason, what a weenie for giving into this ABC ratings ploy. Kudos to Melissa’s parents for refusing any association with this outfit. Everyone is slimy by association—Jason’s family too. I’m off to try and wash off this ickiness. Look forward to your recap, L.

  48. Kat Said,

I still can’t believe what I watched last night. So ridiculous!!! I can appreciate it if he felt that he didn’t have the feelings for Melissa that he thought. It happens but, the way that he broke up with her on the show was just wrong and really makes me believe the rumors and that something is just not right. Not sure if I can ever watch this show again. I will watch tonight for curiousity but will be interested to see what happens in the following seasons.

Also, my husband actually watched with me and brought up a very good point…..our 17 month old son doesn’t cry as much as Jason!!!!!!

  49. Em Said,

I 100% think Jason knew he made the wrong choice when Molly told him he was making a big mistake at the final rose ceremony….as soon as she said it his eyes got as wide as saucers and he was speechless. As soon as he closed the limo door he knew it. And he let Deanna talk him into the “safe” choice. But at that point there wasn’t anything he could do. We have NEVER seen a bachelor have that hard of a time letting the girl he didn’t choose go at the rose ceremony. And there were some extra scenes with Molly in the ATR ceremony that were not in the proposal show, like how she said she didn’t think Melissa was right for him and that he was going to get hurt. He knew he made a mistake then and he regretted it every day after. Do I like the way he broke it off with Melissa. No. Should he have done it in front of a camera? No. But regret is a tough pill to swallow, especially when it comes to letting go of the ones we love.

  50. Jen Said,

Call me naive but I honestly believe it played out the way OHCH stated on his blog. I think he did choose Melissa and was happy for a while, but made up his mind over the holidays that it was over and he was still in love with Molly. Then he called OHCH and told him, and as per his contract he had to do it on camera. So they knew to close the stage and they bumped up the filming of the ATFR show. They dont normally film it 6 weeks before the show ends. I think Melissa had an idea things werent right but I dont think she thought he was going to dump her on national TV. Since this was filmed she has gotten back with her old boyfriend back in Dallas and that explains the ‘sightings’ we have heard about- but she was already not seeing Jason at that point.

Now I DO think he had some sort of contact with Molly however. There is no woman on the planet that would agree to ‘take him back’ minutes after he dumped the other girl unless she already sort of knew it was coming. My guess is she had a clue that she may get another chance with him and that kept her from moving on in the meantime, She did look at OHCH several times like she thought it was some sort of joke but then she just seemed to go with it. They seemed way too comfortable with each other (the body language, kissing) for 2 people who supposedly havent seen each other for 3 months.

  51. Denise Said,

Hey Lincee, gotta say I love your blog! I just wanted to say that I completely agree with you that Jason is a total d-bag. The little shred of respect I had for him going into last night’s ATFR show was gone by the time he got halfway through his opening interview with Chris H. The entire 2 hour finale show was so bad I actually fast forward through about 3/4 of it, stopping to see Mel and Mol with Ty and screeching to a halt when Deanna showed up. By the way, I was a little disappointed with how little drama she brought with her. I thought it was going to be this big thing, Jason might change his mind. But she just ended up giving him this stupid little speech about leading his heart. ??? Oh well, it just goes to prove they’re both d-bags. maybe they do belong together.

  52. Tina Said,

guess the General Hospital date came into handy last night — lots of acting all the way around: starting with OHCH and going to Jason and “Mol”. I think Mel knew all was not right in paradise but truly do not think she expected him to fess up to being in love with the homewrecker. and completely disrespectful for Molly and Jason to mug out, on camera, when just minutes before he was engaged to another woman! Molly: have you no class and self worth?!

  53. What an ASS! Said,

I said “You are SUCH an a**hole” out loud, all by myself – and then, seconds later, Melissa said “You are such a bastard”. Except that when she said it, it sounded scripted and monotone. I do think that she knew what was coming – her reaction was far too controlled. Why didn’t she slap him and walk off the set?

Bad acting all around. (Stop with the fake crying already, you stupid #$*&#$*&!!!) And Jason’s constant bad grammar and De-Yawna’s bad grammar were KILLING me!! And speaking of De-Yawna, how crappy and fake was THAT appearance??! It was bizarre.

Also, I thought that OHCH was smug, smirky and smarmy. And slimy.

And I agree – the ring was atrocious! I think he went with that one because the woman told him it was the best. He can’t make a decision to save his life, the wishy washy stupid bland Melba dumbass f*ckwit.

I agree with those who feel they wasted three hours.

Has anyone else heard that there is another supposedly shocking “spoiler” about tonight’s episode?
GAG. I certainly won’t waste anymore time watching.

And Jillian is seriously stunted if she agrees to be a Bachelorette. Go with the Ukranian, honey. Run.

  54. Longview Said,

Jason has come off as an emotional todler this season. He whines when he doesn’t get exactly what he was thinking he would. Just think how he would always kiss one of the girls when they started going deeper emotionally. It’s like that was all he knew how to do because he didn’t know to show a deep though/feeling.

I hope Jason is happy because if it doesn’t work with Molly, there is going to be a huge population of women who can google or youtube his flakeyness in less than a minute.

  55. Katie June Said,

#43 I completely agree with you and your hubby. I think the whole Deanna thing was taoped after. I don’t know why they would pay to have her fly out there for 5 minutes to nothing. She just added to the lameness of the show.

I did read OHCH blog and it kind of helped me work through some anger. So I actually suggest you guys check it out. I think he does a good job at attempting to explain ABC’s point. Stil does not excuse them for breaking off an engagement on national television, but it explains a lot.

  56. Amanda in Dallas Said,

The final rose ceremony show was dumb – DD brought nothing but a SCRIPT….that was so anticlimactic and she kept contradicting herself….go with the one who you are least hot for but I know you will make the right choice…And I asked my husband what he would have done if I had jumped up and down the first time he told me he loved me…and he said he may have had to reconsider what he was doing (not really)…seriously Mel, are you that insecure??

Man, oh man….I think Melissa knew something was coming – maybe delay the engagement – but not a total diss. She was always a little weepy about the other girls and jealous and stuff, so maybe after watching the show air the last few weeks she was just really jealous and the immaturity came out. She handled it pretty well, I must say – I probably would have just walked out. I bet her parents are even more glad they never came on the show….

Did the girls not suspect something was going on when there was no studio audience??? Hello, buy a dog…name it Clue…and then you will have one!

Mol was a little too happy when she came out, but maybe that was just nervousness….she did look genuine perplexed at first, but she went straight for the knee grab and was clearly getting ready to skip over the “we have alot to talk about first” part and go straight for the gross kissing over and over. I would make that boy get tested before doing anything…

I hope it works out for them, but I don’t think Jason will ever find what he is looking for in a woman.

  57. Susan in AZ Said,

    #49 agreed.

I think I’m the only one who now gets why Melissa is always on the dumping end of the relationship. I don’t agree that he dumped Mel on tv, but let’s all remember he dumped all the other women on tv. Contracts are a bitch.

  58. Dee Said,

I am just so disgusted with the whole show. I don’t know if it was a plot from the start, but I know someone (everyone) is lying when they say Molly didn’t know before walking on stage last night. She was smiling at the clips of her and Jason and she went on and on about how she thinks about him and wishes they had a second chance. There is no way she would say this if she didn’t already know. Even if previous bach-etts felt like this, they came across as more guarded and skeptical. More of a — it was a great experience, but I’ve moved on—story.

I liked OHCH before last night. I don’t see how he could take part in that without thinking that some of the stench would rub off on him. And did you see his blog today—all the we know who was doing the leaking talk. It sounded a touch paranoid and angry to me.

I know I will not be watching this show. I am so proud of Melissa for not agreeing to come on for ATFR 2. People can spin the story however they want, but that doesn’t mean that she should continue to participate. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice….

I just think how downright mean it was for Jason to do all this to another person when he went on AND ON about how he felt after going down on one knee proposing to Deanna. What she did to him is nothing in comparison to what he did to Melissa. She was not my favorite match on the show for him, but no one deserves to be treated like she was last night. He is a super jerk! Melissa is lucky to be rid of him. And she should stop NOW with the this-is-all-my-fault talk. She should learn from this experience, take her part of responsibility in putting herself in the path of people with no conscience and go out and have a wonderful life. She “won” by coming in second in this competition.

  59. oklabachfan Said,

I’ve read all the posts so far and I feel compelled to say that none of you have any idea of what transpired during Jason and Melissa’s time together. I think he was too much of a gentleman to call her out on her character or personality traits that showed her true colors once they were in the real world. People are so quick to judge when they only know a fraction of what has really happened. Melissa knew things weren’t going well and I believe all 3 of them had an idea of what was to take place last night. There is no way they blindsided both girls. She willingly took part in last night’s show. Jason made the best decision he could in the short period of time he had with both girls. I’ve loved more than one person at a time and it can be very confusing to sort it all out and know the person you can spend the rest of your life with in a matter or days or weeks. Life isn’t that simple. Viewers can be disappointed at the outcome or have sympathy for Melissa but honestly to judge and criticize is just not fair. You don’t know what really happened and never will. Only the 3 people involved know the truth. I don’t know any of these people but I think they all deserve the benefit of the doubt. I think it was brave and honest of Jason to reveal that things weren’t right with Melissa and that he couldn’t get Molly out of his head and heart. I think he made a mistake in picking Melissa at the final rose and knew it pretty quickly. I understand the anger at breaking up on tv but I feel certain that she knew and agreed to it ahead of time. She comes out a sympathetic character in all of this but we really don’t know how much of the break up was about her or about Jason. I think things have been over for weeks with Jason and Melissa so it wasn’t as bas as people make it out to be that he kissed Molly.
The break up on tv was for the audience but they knew it was over before that. Jason had waited so long to see Molly and he was just being honest with his emotions. Love and life are complicated and messy sometimes and people get hurt.

  60. Amanda in Dallas Said,

#18 -Don’t be feeling sorry for Jason. No one tortured him and made him be in an “unconventional situation” – he chose to be on the show, and for every extra episode and tear I am sure he got paid well.

And Melissa knew…notice she was not wearing the ring when she came out,but handed it to him before she left…

  61. purejoy Said,

if i hadn’t seen it all on the spoiler sites (i’m pretty glad i was prepared) i would have THROWN something at my television screen.
    jason is a creep.
chris harrison is a bigger creep.
    and ABC??
at the risk of saying something completely unkind/cussing my brains out, i’ll refrain from speaking my mind.
let’s just say there is smoke SHOOTING out of my ears!!
    will i watch tonite??
ohmygoodness, i wouldn’t miss it (oh how i hate playing into ABC’s malicious little hands) and hope melissa kicks jason in the crotch and yanks molly’s badly teased, awfully streaked, dirty roots lame ponytail right out of her deer-in-headlights faced head.
    thanks.
    i feel better now.

  62. Laurie Said,

How do we know he actually broke the engagement on national TV ? We don’t. Melissa’s anger was real but she may be a great actress. How do we know he flung himself on the balcony in immense pain when he said good bye to Molly ? We don’t. But it seemed real enough to make me wonder whether he had made the right decision. Deanna ? Who gives a shit ? And we are going there again tonight ?

I am. Because it’s television. And Reality Television is never reality. I’m not irritated with ABC. I’m not baffled. I’m not angry at Jason. I’m just very entertained. This program seems to have lost their objective though … for the Bachelorettes and Bachelors to find true love in a few weeks by tossing lots of pretty people their way to sort through.

  63. Dallas Said,

Since they both live in Dallas, I think Melissa should look up Jeremy from DeAnna’s season! They would be a really cute couple…

  64. stacey Said,

So did anyone notice the cameramen getting in melissa and jasons shots for their final date night while they were lying in bed? I was thinking oh is that the intern but think it was just a cameraman ;)

    can’t wait for your recap!

  65. Julie in McKinney Said,

Sorry, if someone already mentioned this, but since Jason broke up with Melissa, shouldn’t Melissa get to keep the ring? Melissa should get to at least pawn it and do some retail therapy. It was a not a ring I would want, but I am sure it was worth some cash.

You know Molly won’t want it…tonight he will probably give her a new one.

  66. stacey Said,

also….funny how when they recapped molly getting the boot in NZ, the show cut out them kissing on the cheek and hugging it was like she was just shoved in the limo but then when doing a recap at the after special showed it. Then poor Melissa had to open her own limo door when she got the boot!

  67. disappointed Said,

what a disappointment! though i do believe that jason has the right to change his mind (as anyone does), and that melissa is better off knowing that sooner rather than later (imagine if she married him!!), the way that jason went about things was ridiculous. whether melissa knew what was coming or she didn’t (and i believe that she did, to a certain extent, though maybe not about molly), it was not necessary to force her to go through that on national television. jason should not have given into ABC’s pressure on that.

even more importantly, if jason was as “torn” as he said he was between his “love for two women” at the same time, then even if he decided to choose melissa, he should not have proposed to her. not all of the bachelors have proposed at the end of the show; several of them have just said they wanted to continue the relationship, or given the ring as a “promise” ring, not an engagement ring. given his abrupt turn-around in 6 weeks’ time, i cannot imagine that this was something that he just suddenly realized. to lead melissa on like that is unfair.

melissa should realize that the only thing that is “wrong” with her is the choice to go on national TV to try to find love. hopefully she has learned her lesson and will stay as far away from reality television as possible. in time, i believe she will also realize that she dodged a bullet on this one! she is better off for it. melissa, return to the real world, and don’t devalue yourself by thinking that you only deserve the afffection of losers! i think that your only mistakes have probably been the wrong choice in guys! once you start valuing and loving yourself more, someone will come along who will do the same, as you deserve!

molly is also an idiot for agreeing to get back together with him, without even so much as a question such as “if you loved me so much, why did you send me packing and *propose* to melissa? if you were so torn from the get-go, wouldn’t you have held off on an engagement?”. let’s hope she comes to her senses off camera and gives him the third degree. i don’t have high hopes for their long term chances at love – what relationship can stay the course after such an ignoble start? molly, if he did it to melissa, he can do it to you…stay away!!

ugh…i couldn’t get to sleep last night because i was so disgusted. how upsetting. i will not watch tonight and i do not think i will be watching another season of the bachelor ever again. i have better things to do with my free time than to be depressed about human behavior!

  68. realityatitsbest Said,

it was Mike Fleiss and another producer who planned the ending after Jason knew it was Molly with 5 girls left and Jason went along, knewing he was going to hurt Melissa…but they “sold” him on the idea b/c America was already in love with Melissa so “she’ll be fine”…all about ratings. They just didn’t think their plan would leak out…so in some respect, Jason is obviously a victim here too…he was told it would turn out ok and that no one will ever know it was planned BUT he didn’t have to go along with intentionally hurting someone, so he will remain a CAD, DOG, A**HOLE forever, should have done the right thing but since he’s so wimpy, girly, type B…he didn’t. I believe Reality Steve, ck out realitysteve.com although curiously…someone seems to be messing with his link (ABC I imagine!)

  70. lulu Said,

stacey – so true!! so sad! that she had to open her own door! what was up with that?? where was the intern or cesar could’ve got some more screen time!!

  71. Jenna Said,

You know, I always considered this show my “guilty pleasure”. It’s actually the only reality TV show that I watch with the exception of The Amazing Race. And I always justified watching it because I knew that the participants knew what they were getting into when they signed their contracts. They knew they had the potential to be humiliated, edited in a negative light, etc. But after last night’s episode and all the drama surrounding the finale, I have to say I suddenly understood why it’s termed “guilty pleasure”. I felt guilty watching it.
Even if they were all acting last night, and everyone was in on it by the time the tape started rolling, it doesn’t erase the fact that this season I was essentially watching someone be hurt tremendously on television. I have felt more manipulated by the producers at ABC than ever before. We all know this show is sort of a joke – what with the crappy success rate, et al. No one really thinks that it will work out for the contestants, and we all sort of chuckle when they say things like,”I really believe my wife/husband is in that group of people.” But to toy with the audience in the way this whole thing has played out, I don’t know – it goes to a whole different level where it ceases to be entertainment, and it starts being a sick farce.
I do believe that Jason changed his mind. I can completely understand that. It’s not hard to follow. I’ve been the “Molly” in that situation. But to do it the way he did it – even if he was under contractual agreement to do what he did to Melissa – forgive me, it’s inexcusable. I don’t know if RS is correct with his conspiracy theories about ABC, but I’m starting to wonder. And I wonder what type of man Jason is that he could go along with hurting someone so tremendously on national television – even if he was bound by contract. A real man would have said to the producers, “Fine, sue the heck out of me, but I’m not going to do this to her.”
I don’t know if I’ll watch tonight, and I don’t know if I’ll ever watch again. You gained the ratings ABC, but at what cost? What good is it to gain the world, but lose your soul? Such a farce.

  72. heidi Said,

haven’t made it through all the comments yet, but you can’t seriously make me believe that Jason and Molly had no contact since New Zealand…Her shock was so fake and you could see all she wanted to do was smile. I don’t think I’d be smiling that quickly if a guy who broke my heart, two minutes after dumping his finance (whom he dumped me for) came back asking for a second chance.
Also, if I were her, I’d keep the ring… Its a Neil Lane, for crying out loud! That’s some serious bank right there or it would make a lovely right hand ring.

  73. Traci Said,

    Contrived. Conniving. Conspiracy. Crap.

    Melissa…………..CLASSY!

That was the redeeming factor in the show for me. Melissa was handed a terrible situation and handled it with total self-awareness and class. I am sure I would not have been so equipped to handle the situation she was dealt that well in MY mid-20′s. She got a raw deal, but she will be fine because she obviously has learned a lot from what hasn’t worked out in her life. I only wish I had that emotional awareness break through by that age! She may be cautious for a while, but she will also recognize the good guy when he shows up.

Now, Jillian needs to run! This show destroys the reputations of potentially quality people by throwing money at them to do despicable things to others for ratings!

  74. lulu Said,

    jenna and disappointed…

    well said.

i felt like it was a guilty pleasure and that it made me so mad and feel so bad. i know it’s a show and they all signed up for it, but it makes me feel bad that i am increasing abc’s ratings for such a trashy show.

i’ve got to quit! i need a self help group!

but i have to see tonight’s episode first. :)

  75. Shameless Said,

Things that I think point to the whole season being fake:

    1. From the first episode, they showed a glimpse of Jason putting a ring on a girl’s finger, and everyone quickly and easily figured out it was Melissa. But then we learn, hey, ABC is smarter than that — they let us see her finger because in the end he does NOT end up with her. But that first episode aired on like Jan 6, and the official break up happened weeks later. I think ABC knew from the beginning it would play out this way.

    2. All the obvious with a capital O set ups from the last few episodes, of “What if you choose the wrong girl?” over and over and over again.

    3. The DD set up, which was lame and bad in general, but also obviously designed to set his “wrong” choice into motion.

    4. In an interview a while ago, DD said that the girls were not happy to see her when she showed up. Hu-wah? I kept waiting to see if she’d go talk to Mel and Molly, but of course there would be no reason for her to be around the final two. Once again, weird, edited, lying, fake situations abound.

    5. Bad acting in ATFR. Baaaad acting.

Lame. Just lame, is all. I don’t even see why people are angry with Jason when the whole thing is a pathetic set up. Mel certainly did get screwed over, but other than that Jason was a puppet. A lame, loser puppet who will do ANYTHING to be on tv but a puppet nonetheless.

  76. Lauri Said,

Last night my husband coined a new term…. he said “Jason should Womack ‘Em!” Meaning – pull a Hotter Than Crap Brad and not choose either. I disagreed, yet thought it was hysterical terminology!

I think people need to give Jason a break. This guy never imagined he’d be The Bachelor. He was happily married until his wife screwed him over and left him to be a single dad. He then goes to find love on The Bachelorette, only to get left on bended knee by DD. Then goes for round two to find true love, only to have DD show up moments before he is to propose…and MESS with his head. I think DD showing up really impacted the decision he would have made (Molly). LET THE MAN FOLLOW HIS HEART!

I think he is just being honest saying there was no chemistry. It was clear Melissa knew it too. Though she says he’s not fighting for her, he had to follow his heart. I don’t believe these are true-to-life engagements anyway, because after the show you spend time together w/o cameras and actually learn about who each other is IN REAL LIFE. I think Jason would have fought for it if they’d been together for a year…unfortunately it’s only like 8 weeks or something ridiculous.

LET THE MAN FOLLOW HIS HEART! Bring on the critics!

  77. k-bo Said,

Last night’s ATFR was so scripted. Every word out of Jason’s mouth was a lie. He and Melissa DID NOT spend the holidays together. And someone already hit the nail on the head – Melissa knew what was going on before she walked on stage – they were breaking up because of her! She broke Jason’s heart by getting back with her ex-boyfriend. Why ABC spun it this way, I’m not sure – but I definitely don’t think Jason is the horrible person that everyone here believes he is!

  78. Tracy Said,

Can anyone say Jerry Springer??? What a joke!! I’d probably be lying if I said I’m never watching the Bachelor or Bachelorette again, but I’d really like to just write this one off in the future.

  79. Tracy Said,

I felt like I was watching a primetime version of the Jerry Spring Show. I understand that feelings change when you date someone for awhile, especially in their contrived situation, but I thought it was so uncalled for to break up with her on national TV. I lost respect for Jason, OHCH and ABC. Not that they care because the ratings were so good. the whole DeAhhhhna thing was a total waste. Does anyone remember in the coming attractions in an early episode the girls it he house saying “what is she doing here” about DeAhhhhna or am I mixing that up with another season?

  80. Samantha Said,

    Jason Meznick is a prick!
    Jason Meznick is a prick!
    Jason Meznick is a prick!

  81. Katie June Said,

    k-bo….please elaborate….do you know Melissa???

  82. Paul Said,

I mentioned last night that “The Bachelor” is starting to remind me of the Jim Carrey movie, “The Truman Show,” where both the audience and the actors are confused as to what is “real life.” Jason kept saying about the show, “This is my life.” No, Jason, this is a TV show. We’ve been watching you for our enjoyment. You do not own your life when it is on “The Bachelor.” ABC does. We do. Are you acting or do you really think this is real life? It doesn’t matter. When the cameras are rolling, you are product to be consumed. By us. And guess what? Some of us are starting to figure it out and we are doing a little soul-searching. We are feeling some shame and some blame for supporting the whole thing by watching. We have a choice. We can stop watching and maybe start watching real TV, whatever that is, with real actors don’t get their feelings ripped apart at the end for our enjoyment. In any case, in a few weeks you won’t matter to us any more. We will have moved on. And what about you? Who will you hold on to then?

  83. Heather Said,

I was confused by something…in the intro to ATFR, we hear Chris Harrison saying “Its been 6 weeks since Jason proposed to Melissa….” but then Jason talks about spending the holidays with her. That doesn’t make sense to me…what ‘holidays’ is he talking about? MLK day, Presidents Day? And Jason also said something about ‘the last 3 months” Did anyone else catch the 6 week reference?

  84. Emily Said,

Y’all, it was probably in every contestant’s contract that if they broke up before the show was over that they had to do it on “After The Final Rose.” Don’t blame Jason, OHCH, or ABC. Melissa knew what she was getting into.

  85. S Said,

Watch….now Melissa will be the next Bachelorette….

  86. JasonSucks Said,

Yes, in real life love is messy. I have dated and had deep feelings for two guys before. Combined together they would have been the “right one” for me. I did not agree to marry either! Eventually, I quit seeing both. Much later I met a guy with all the qualities and married him!

The problem I have is that Jason chose this…he may have been contractually obligated to do an ATFR, but not to treat someone that way on camera. (Unless there was a script!) He was contractually obligated to have a Final Rose Ceremony, not to propose. (Unless there was a script!) He may have been conficted, yada, yada, yada…but ultimately he decided how to act on camera and off. I watched Jason this season because I thought he had integrity – WHY? BECAUSE ABC gave him a positive, good guy, dad EDIT. Silly me.

My biggest issue is not a script. If all parties know the script it is fair. Having a script in mind and only letting in a couple of people on it – that is my concern.

  87. LM Said,

I don’t know, gang, the whole thing was pretty entertaining to me. Usually the ATFR episode is a boring hour of television, but last night’s (scripted or not) definitely had me hooked!

  88. csw Said,

Is it me, or does “following your heart” seem like a total cop out after last night? It’s not a get out of jail free card, nor does it give you permission to do things you really shouldn’t.

That being said, both girls have to have a little something off to think this guy is the greatest guy on earth. Dude has never been a catch and a half.

  89. Jessica Said,

Maybe it’s because I’m a mom, but I was suprised that Melissa wasn’t more concerned about Ty in the limo during ATFR. She also had to have known something was coming down the pipe. It seemed she was already over it by time they cut back to OHCH.

Also, DD never asked Jason to take her back. I think that’s what TPTB wanted us to assume, but it’s not why she was there. She was only trying to make Jason really examine that he was making the correct choice.

By the way, I believe they all had some idea what was going on.

  90. Michelle Said,

Well said, #59 oklabachfan…I agree with you 100%!!

  91. PureOpinion Said,

#4 and #6 Adriana, thank you. Hate to be superficial, but Neil Lane really dropped the ball on that ring. It should stay a one of a kind.

  92. Marus Said,

    I’m changing the subject just a little….

A lamb? Did he seriously leave the golf course and go get a lamb? What the H?

  93. Katie June Said,

#92…I love it. I about fell off the couch. On a golf course with a LAMB???? That was horrible.

  94. Entertained Said,

Jason on Jimmy Kimmel. Interesting stuff:
    http://popwatch.ew.com/popwatch/2009/03/bachelor-jason.html

  95. Caitlin Said,

I do agree that they all knew on a certain level what was going on. And what bad actors, huh? I mentioned this on the Dallas Morning News blog about The Bachelor and they removed my post!

Probably because I said that Melissa “Miss-No-Self-Esteem” didn’t seem that upset about it since she was probably offered the next Bachelorette. And I said something about Jason getting a test drive — ha! So sad that she lives in my city…

  96. Tikibabe Said,

i did not watch jimmy kimmel last night but read from you that when jimmy asked why he broke up with her on national television, he said that he was contractually obligated.

what???? since when does ABC read minds? who else on the bachelor/bachelorette has ever known to do this? it HAD to have been planned. had to.

  97. Marus Said,

    #93: a lamb on a leash, no less….

Whose idea was that? Was a little girl innocently walking her lamb nearby and J kidnapped it? Were they all just laying around on the green, exhausted from all the putting, and J thinks to himself, “What would make this afternoon perfect? A LAMB!” and then he dashes off to get one.

  98. LP Said,

It cracks me up, the different opinions on here. Was it planned, was it not… did Jason see Molly in between NZ and the rose ceremony, did he not… is it scripted, is it not…
My personal opinion is that this was completely planned, but I think people are going to believe what they want to believe so I won’t try to persuade anyone one way or the other. But, I will say, I don’t think ANY of us have any idea the crazy amount of editing, planning, strategizing, baiting, etc. goes into this show on the part of the producers. They’ve done this show enough times to know what they are doing… like a lot of other “reality” shows out there these days.
I don’t watch the show in the belief that they will find true love… it would be nice if they did (!), but I don’t expect it. However, I also don’t expect the show to go to such great lengths to jump the shark. I, for one, won’t be watching again.

  99. elizabeth Said,

    1. i had to tivo the show(s) and stayed up way to late watching it all just to be left in disappointment. i do think jason is a good guy and if he’s feelings had truly faded for melissa he should have ended things. this is not to say that he should have read the script and done it on national televsion and then smooched it up with the runner up just minutes later.

    2. OHCH has said for more than a couple of weeks how da** dramatic the ATFR would be – how would he know the level of drama if jason didn’t “know” he was going to end it with melissa, and hook it up on the couch with mol

    3. after this show, why on earth would ANYONE want to sign themselves up for this. it is EXTREMELY unlikely that you will find your one true love, your soulmate on a show where that love of your life is actually dating, at times, up to 24 other women! i mean, come on people – this isn’t working!

    4. oh and did ABC really find that in this thriving economy it made sense to fly DD all the way to NZ so that she could say “lead your heart” seriously – a phone call might have been a bit more thrifty! DUMB

  100. ILoveATrainWreck Said,

And boy did I/we get one!

Here it is courtesy of Reality Steve :

“Ok, so let me break it all down for you as I understand it:

    Absolute fact:
    1) Jason proposes to Melissa in NZ
    2) Jason sees Melissa roughly twice a month from end of NZ (they stayed three days together after FRC) to the emergency taping
    3) Jason tells Melissa it is over.
    4) Melissa flips out. Screams. Yells. Cries. Calls him a bunch of names, etc. etc. Basically a total meltdown.
    5) The second ATFR is like normal. Jason/Molly happy, Melissa okay — it was all for the best, yadda. though obviously I don’t know the exact language.

The following things I’m going to tell you are more complex than stone-cold fact, however I trust my source and STRONGLY believe that everything I’m about to tell you is true because I mean…some of it is too unbelievable and detailed to just pull out of total fabrication.

    1) Your interview with Megan, which I listened to late yesterday, corraborated what I had heard about Melissa. She was a bubbly spit fire, however she barely spoke to Jason for the first week.

    2) Jason made an instant connection with Molly, and despite her poor edit there are several things during the season (tent date, long walk alone in Seattle) that point to that fact. Yet, it wasn’t over the top because that is not Molly’s personality.

    3) Just prior to the Final Five, Jason informed producers that Molly was the one.

    4) The plan was formed. Producers asked Jason who he liked second best and he told them he had taken interest in Melissa — had a lot going for her, sweet, attractive, etc. They told him to bring her to the Final Two, pick her at the FRC for drama and that she would get America’s love and attention — aka a set up for The Bachelorette. They convinced Jason that he would do no irrevocable harm to Melissa, because she would get the popularity.

    5) I can tell you with almost 100% certainty that Melissa fell in love with Jason. In fact, my source said that is who Chris Harrison and the rest were “cheering for and were happy when they saw her bond with Ty.” Period. Nothing else is true. Melissa fell in love with Jason, the staff saw it and rooted for it and were happy for them.

    6) Which leads to this fact. Only three people (Mike Fleiss, another top-level showrunner (Martin), and Jason) knew about the plan until AFTER THE FRC. Immediately after the FRC, Chris H and the rest of the staff was informed of the plan and what would go down at the ATFR. No idea how they reacted, and really it isn’t a big part of the story.

    7) Immediately after Jason returned to Seattle he got in touch with producers and they put him in touch with Molly. Molly did NOT know about this plan before the FRC, but DID know about it just several days after the FRC. How do you think she was able to take him back? Because she knew. My guy also told me she will play this off at the ATFR as, “Jason is a good man who was in a high pressure situation. Once he got away from the camera, his heart changed. And I loved him.”

Now, this is the slightly disturbing part but my source said he heard this from reliable people. Remember that I said Melissa was head over heels in love. She saw Jason every other weekend and told Jason she was planning on moving out to Seattle, loved Ty, wanted to start a family. Jason made all of this seem great. He is playing the game, before finally realizing after one of these “heart to hearts” that Melissa was seriously falling for him.

    9) He called the producers and they moved up the show for him but told him he had to do it, per the agreed “twist”, on camera.

    10) Hence everything you will see at the ATFR show.

If you have any questions, let me know. But it’s pretty self-explanatory. My source said that ATFR was still in post-production until either earlier this week or late last week. I have no idea how they will spin it, but they will for damage control.

How does the truth get into the mainstream? You said something about some mysterious e-mails before. That would help. As would someone saying “sue me, I’m talking.” From what I’m told Melissa is “better” but still is taking this very hard.

No idea if she will follow the company line on Ellen and the talk show circuit. Also, the whole parents thing was way overblown. They just were private people and didn’t want to participate. I’ve heard they are very religious. Not sure what that has to do with being private. But they just didn’t want to be on the show. No other conspiracy theory to that.

Hope you enjoy the carnage. Because it is coming!”

    Yikes!!

  101. LP Said,

Thanks, #100… Reality Steve’s site isn’t working, so I’m so glad you posted!

  102. elizabeth Said,

    #94 – thanks!

  103. Sunny AZ Said,

Ya’ll, this show, from the get go, has had a weird vibe to it! Creative editing, HORRIBLE acting and a bachelor who was TRULY BORING- hence Melba toast! Honestly his word usage has been, like, awful and conversations w/ the girls have been excruciating to watch!! NOT much substance there and AWKWARD!! ABC, NO more pity parties for the rejects or dumpees and bring on a new sucker!

  104. Ashley Said,

Also OHCH says on his blog “It’s unfortunate things leaked out like they did but we know how that happened and who’s responsible. We were also well aware of the ”bonus” information you have been given. I’m not sure why ruining the ending of one of the most successful shows on TV wasn’t enough for people but it should have been.” Interesting as Reality Steve’s blog is DOWN…hhmmm….

And Heather #83 – good observation!!! The time line just isn’t right…and ABC you took us on quite a ride with eluding to the fact that Deanna was there amongst the other girls from her waving up on the porch…and WHY was it necessary to fly her in to NZ? Why not wrap it up in LA? We wouldn’t have known any different…or was that for more DRAMA?

And did anyone else think it was ODD that Jason was IMMEDIATELY on a talk show late night the night of the dumping? Hmmm…

  105. lauren Said,

Sorry if I’m repeating some things because I haven’t read all of the comments yet, but I just have to say that the entire scene with Dehanna coming to NZ to ask for another chance seemed SO fake and contrived. It’s insulting to the viewers almost. Molly’s acting performance was pretty terrible as well. She looked so excited to see him and was smiling and smug the entire time. I’ve watched this show many times before and the jilted girl always looks nervous and on the verge of tears when they are brought back to see the bachelor who rejected them on national TV. Not excited and anxious for him to ask her to get back together. The whole thing was disgusting and an obvious attempt at getting ratings for ABC. I feel awful for Melissa, there was no need for the breakup to be publicized on TV like that!

  106. Ashley Said,

And one more thing….Jason was a DBAG for taking back the ring!!!! HE SHOULD HAVE LET HER KEEP IT.

  107. Cindy Said,

If anyone is interested, the following is the lineup for the “Ellen” show:
    Wed – OHCH
    Thurs – Melissa
    Fri – Jason and Molly
I saw “Ellen” this morning and she is really fired up and angry at Jason (& OHCH) so they should be pretty interesting interviews.

Not that I’ve ever thought the show was really sincere but now I have confirmation that it is nothing more
than “The Hills” with better acting!

  108. Sheree Said,

It’s always been a silly show and now it has gotten even sillier.

I only watch it for the humor that I know I will find in Lincee’s blog the next day!

If Lincee stops blogging it, THEN I’ll stop watching it–and only then!!

  109. Esme Said,

    92 & 93:
My husband said the same thing! He kept going on and on about how weird it was that Jason left to go get a lamb. Funny!

  110. broady Said,

“I think he was too much of a gentleman to call her out on her character or personality traits that showed her true colors once they were in the real world.” #59 – “gentleman” is not a word I would use to decribe Jason, nor the way he handled the situation. Just because he didn’t verbally insult Melissa doesn’t qualify him as a gentleman. A gentleman wouldn’t have publicly thrown himself at another woman and played tonsil hockey minutes after dumping his fiancee in front of the world. No matter what the private understanding was between Melissa and Jason, and no matter what her failings may have been, Jason did NOT conduct himself in a gentlmanly manner. I’m not saying he is an evil piece of crap, but he sure doesn’t get to wear the “gentleman” title anymore. He and Molly well-matched in that they are both tacky and behaved in a classless, insensitive manner where acting discreetly would have been the kinder, high-road to take in such a difficult situation.

  111. Tracy Said,

#77 k-bo, do you know Melissa? Is that for real? Thanks for posting Reality Steve’s blog..it all makes sense.

  112. Angie Said,

RealitySteve was dead on with what he leaked, I’m glad he was vindicated. Jason definitely isn’t America’s favorite single dad. He is a total jack ass and I hope Molly dumps his ass.

  113. elizabeth Said,

after watching jimmy kimmell’s interview, jason makes it clear that it was per his agreement with the show that whatever he did with the relationship had to be done on ATFR and that melissa did in fact know what was about to happen.

  114. Jill Said,

Let’s all boycott the second ATFR tonight! That will be our loudest voice to let ABC know how annoyed we all are!!

  115. Sarah Said,

    Interesting. Verrrry interesting.

Did anyone notice that when Jason hugged Molly at the ATFR, her mic picked up his heart beating like mad? Crazy!

And did anyone watch him on Kimmel last night? It was hilarious. He said he had to do the break up on tv, because it was part of the contract… something about doing all major events on tv. Hmm.

Ah well, if he’s happier with Molly, more power to him. I hope it works out for them.

  116. Jill Said,

oh who am i kidding, i can’t help myself from watchign

  117. stupid bach fan Said,

Chris Harrison keeps repeating that Molly and jason did not see each other before ATFR 1. Maybe. But they must have been talking, texting, and emailing the whole time because she KNEW what was happening and was too excited to hide it.

  118. Pookie Said,

I guess Melissa’s parents were vindicated. Huh? They knew it would be a train wreck from the beginning and were wise not to want any part of it. The whole process is really quite demeaning for anyone. Why would anyone male or female put themselves out there. I know …except for their 15 minutes of fame. I’m certainly not wasting my time any more watching either the Bachelor or the Bachelorette.

  119. Ashley Said,

CAN WE GET SOME “WWW.IHATEGREENBEANS” ONESIES UP IN HERE??? MY 7 MONTH OLDS AGREE….HIT US UP WITH SOME NEW PRODUCTS, LINCEE!

  120. lulu Said,

pookie -totally vindicated!! i bet they are so glad now they didn’t do the show. no amount of $$ could make what happened ok.

  121. Dave Said,

Absolutely NO need to dump Melissa on TV. NONE. That was horrible. If he really feels that way, super – dump her off camera like every other failed Bachelor relationship and move on. It was a public execution for the masses, and it was SAD SAD SAD. WTF, ABC?

  122. Dude Said,

Well, those of us who read the spoilers weren’t surprised, although we were told he’d been seeing Molly on the side. Who knows. Who cares…

Again, the ENTIRE PREMISE of this show is flawed. Only under rare circumstances do you fall in love with and propose to someone IN SIX WEEKS! My god! It took me 2 1/2 years with my wife and I still screwed up!

Anyway, Molly was the winner for me with the unexpected massage. HELLLLLLOOOOOOOOO hottie!!! Some of us would pay to have a woman take charge like that. Very, very sexy.

BTW, don’t feel bad for Melissa. She’s ALREADY back with her ex b/f and moving in with him. Guess she decided settling with a loser was better than nothing. Poor girl.

I feel like I need to somehow go and find all the IQ points I lost watching this stupid show. Now I know why I haven’t watched previous seasons and won’t watch any more.

  123. Shannon Said,

No doubt Jason is a tool and will be a bachelor forever. So he said that things changed and were different after the show. HELLO!! You lived in a mansion in LA, had people waiting on you 24×7, were surrounded by girls in bikini’s, went on fabulous all-expenses paid dates and trips with these women, made out (plus some) dozens of times with several girls. Of course things were going to change. Eventually you had to go back to your boat house, back to work, back to being a single dad, back to reality. Melissa and his ex-wife are the lucky one’s here. I predict the first time Molly “takes charge” in disciplining Ty, the relationship will be over.

  124. Julesrules Said,

I always read this blog and love it, but have never felt compelled to post until today.

Let me start by saying JASON IS A SLEEZE BAG! What a loser! I now know why his first marriage didn’t last! He obviously doesn’t realize what it takes to make a real relationship work. You don’t just throw in the towel without even trying to make things work…and I don’t care what anyone says…it takes longer than a 2 or 3 week effort to make things work. And seriously, how could he not think things would change? Did he think that the ABC intern would come home with them and sprinkle rose petals on their bed every night, light all the candles in their house before they came home, made sure they had bubble baths, helicopters, and top dollar dinners prepared every night for them?

So I guess the way I look at it, Jason has been divorced, been rejected during a proposal, proposed, and is in love with someone else all in the matter of a couple of years…this boy is an idiot…obviously he doesn’t know what love is. Anyone who has been in love that much in a couple of years is confusing love for lust!

Now for a couple of superficial comments…who the h@&$ dresses Jason for the Rose ceremonies? Could his suits be any tighter or more peg legged? And what is the deal with Molly’s eye makeup? Did she not have a loving mom to teach her how to blend her makeup? She looks like a freaking clown. Molly and Jason are unfortunately perfect for each other. I am going to go out on a limb and say that they will be broken up by the end of the After the Rose Ceremony, Part 2 tonight!

    That’s just my two cents!

  125. bill Said,

    ABC should add a question to the Bachelor application in the future;

Are you a narcissistic d-bag who doesn’t consider anyone else’s feelings in the name of ‘following your heart’? If so, please consider a cable reality show.

  126. Lin Said,

    Bad Jason. Bad Molly.

    Ty: “Daddy, what’s a d*bag?
Jason: “Why do you ask, son?”
Ty: “I keep hearing it at school. The teachers all call you a d*bag…”

The fun is only beginning. I hope Ty has a good counselor…

  127. Rachel Said,

You know- I don’t care if Jason had an agreement with abc that he had to do the breakups on TV. Whatever- grow some diginity and say hell no. I seriously can’t see that holding up in court. Would a judge really allow a network to sue a dude because he refused to break up with someone on camera? Why couldn’t he have broken up with her off camera and then when they had the ATFR, Jason and Melissa (as they are obiligated to do) show up and let us know they broke it off weeks ago. I would feel better about that ending then this bullsh#t one.

If he changed his mind and realized that he really liked Molly better when he had time to reflect- fine. It’s his life. It’s his right. But to blow off Melissa and stick his tongue down Molly’s throat 5 mins later- classless and douchebagery.

Molly- take some acting classes. She really needs them if she is going to keep up this charade. She was NOT surprised. She knew what was coming.

Jason- wow. He took us all for a ride didn’t he? That nice guy act was just that- an ACT! He lied on De-yawna’s show and claimed that his ex left him and Ty- what a sob story. Eventually backtracked and confessed that they have mutual custody of Ty. Cried about 100 times during this season. Laughed it up on the View about Melissa being single- kept professing that this is “his life” on Jimmy Kimmel. Does anyone really feel sorry for this pompous ass? I certainly don’t. He signed up for this mess and followed through like a spineless wimp. I can’t wait for the old ladies to slap him with their purses on the street. He might be America’s most hated man at the current moment.

  128. Rachel Said,

Oh and I agree with everyone that Jason will be the eternal bachelor. He has NO friggin clue what it takes to have a relationship. Relationships have rough patches- you have to work through them. It’s not all shits and giggles. Things do change but you have to grow and evolve with your partner.

  129. Sher Said,

Hahahaha Rachel! “I can’t wait for the old ladies to slap him with their purses on the street.” That sh*t is funny! Did anyone else notice that DD was waddling last night? I was half expecting her to be coming back to tell him she was pregnant with his child (although I guess realistically too much time has passed for that).

  130. thisshowmakesmecrazy Said,

Totally shallow and catty – but did anyone else notice Molly’s feet when they zoomed in on the scrapbook thing? Reminded me of the man hands woman in Seinfeld.

  131. Still Watchin' Said,

I will still watch the bachelor because it’s entertaining. All those saying they will never watch it again are lying and maybe getting a little to into the “reality” of this program. Bottom line you can’t find true love in six weeks while dating 25 women. We know that, it’s what keeps it entertaining and us watching. Give the guy a break I can’t believe it hasn’t happened before. I feel horrible for Melissa but she will find someone again and it will be right for her. Jason is a confused man and hopefully something will work out for him. If I were Molly I would have made him beg a little, instead of being so eager to mug down and take him back. Play it cool, woman!

  132. teamj Said,

enjoying theories immensely! can i just say the real winners (classiest people) this season are by far–melissas parents!

  133. yup Said,

Melissa’s parents had their scum detector going and are smarter than many.

  134. teamj Said,

and — all you peeps dissin abc—-sayin you’ll never watch again—well you are feeding right into their lair! all this publicity YOU are giving them is exactly what they want! i say GO ABC! it’s just guilty pleasure viewing–call it what it is. but dont tell me miss headband was shocked on last nights show —- that WAS some of the worst acting i’ve seen. i still am on teamj… and teamOHCH!!!!

  135. yup Said,

How can anyone be on teamj? Seriously.

  136. Shameless Said,

I am surprised that some people (not everyone…just some) are confused about the show/ATFR being taped in the past versus it actually happening LAST NIGHT. That ATFR was taped in January, about 6 weeks after Jason and Mel got engaged. Since then, about 6 MORE weeks have passed. So it’s not like Jason left the ATFR studio last night and went right on a talk show! Furthermore, OHCH was standing there saying it would be the most dramatic ATFR because he filmed that intro/teaser well AFTER last night’s disaster was already taped.

I understand the whole thing can be confusing, but the fact that I have seen people think the show actually happens in real time, or we are watching things exactly as they happen instead of being edited back in — makes me realize just how easy it is for producers/show to dupe us!

  137. TexasGirlNYC Said,

I’ll still watch, if only to enjoy Lincee’s recaps the next day. Jason is a d-bag, but we’ve had seasons with jerks before. ABC provided interesting television, with cast members shallow enough to be humiliated on camera. I don’t feel that sorry for any of them — they all deserve each other.

  138. Shameless Said,

#130 thisshowmakesmecrazy, LOL LOL!! Oh no you didn’t. I noticed her feet too but couldn’t imagine anyone else being mean enough to say it. I LOVE IT.

  139. Sher Said,

That’s what I was thinking yup.

  140. Shameless Said,

Also on the catty and shallow stage, but it’s about DD so who the hell cares, she deserves it for being such a media whore…that outfit she wore for her lame-o fake appearance was HORRIBLE. She’ s a very pretty girl but she either chose or got talked into wearing an extremely unflattering outfit. SO UGLY.

  141. smh Said,

See, I could have believed the change of heart story, but even for a layperson (non-film major, producer, etc.) there was TOO much foreshadowing. The Melissa always being the dumpee, Molly’s “spontaneous” question asking Jason what would happen if he picked wrong, Deanna coming to NZ to tell Jason she picked wrong… Come on! This may not have been scripted, as in each are given a script and lines to read, but it was definitely scripted in a sense that “here is the story line we want to go, now you are to follow.” Who wouldn’t follow with the $5 million confidentiality suit you throw over their heads?
If this was reality TV, I’d be happy. But it clearly is not and that is why I am not happy with this show. Don’t even get me started on the horrible acting job of Jason and Molly at the ATFR. How many times did he have to look at OHCH for guidance? It was beyond laughable! The whole season was a farce. And yes, it’s TV, but it was supposed to be REALITY TV. If I wanted to watch a romantic comedy, I would have went to the movies.

Jason is a d-bag, plain and simple.

  142. Little Chicken Said,

Melissa handled herself well and really gave it to him. LOVED it!

  143. teamj Said,

what was with his 3 sizes-too-small suit at the frc??? and the foreshadowing matching tie to mollys dress?? did anyone else think melissa was channeling eva longoria in that yellow final rose gown?? she looked great until the one side of her hair (that she forgot to do) kept falling scraggily in her face

  144. Ashley S. Said,

    Feelings change, okay whatever.

As far as dumping someone on national television? He has no balls as far as I’m concerned…just an imaginary sac hanging between his legs. He looked like an effing puppy getting scorned or something when Melissa was laying into him. What, he had nothing to say? The most he could conjure up was, “I’m sorry, you have every right to be mad…”?????? WTF IS THAT??? And as far as I’m concerned, Melissa was spot on in saying that he’s not willing to fight for anything. That kind of piss off attitude and lack of spine is probably what got his lame ass divorced in the first place.

Melissa handled the situation so wonderfully. I can guarantee you I would’ve gone postal on his ass and shot up the place had I been intentionally embarrassed like that. (I say intentionally because Jason didn’t have to dump her on TV. He could’ve been a man and done it by text at least…LOL) But really, the shining star of the conversation when she muttered, “You are such a bastard.” I was in ca-hoots rooting her on at that point! Bravo Melissa, BRAVO. She dodged one hell of a bullet if you ask me.

As far as Molly goes…eh….I don’t know yet. I truly think she was really surprised about the whole thing. I am definitely glad that the first thing out of her mouth was, “What about Melissa?” but after that it all kind of went downhill. ESPECIALLY seeing them kiss. It makes a nine month pregnant woman want to throw knives at the TV I can tell you that much.

  145. Sher Said,

#130 n 138 on the feet. Ha! On DD’s outfit, it seemed like she had just gained a lot of weight since the Bachelorette and had to wear something like that to conceal it.

  146. Kat Said,

I have a serious headache today from all the anvils last night!

I absolutely think the entire scenario was scripted before the proposal for ratings. Just watching body language at the proposal and at ATFR – Melissa already knew she was going to be dumped but had to go along with it and Molly already knew they were getting back together.

Hmm… I have a lot of quality shows on my DVR – I think that’s what I’ll be watching tonight, not another fake, insincere ratings grab from ABC.

  147. TudorCityGirl Said,

Unreal!! This had to have all been scripted.. That’s the only explanation for such cruel and bizarre behavior on his part. Why couldn’t he have just told Melissa over the phone before doing it in front of the world? I wrote a post on my blog about this. Would love to hear other’s opinions.
GREAT post title by the way.. It’s so true!!
    TudorCityGirl

  148. Lacey Said,

#143 – Team j – Jason’s FRC suit WAS awful. Get a proper fitting suit already, Jason! And preferably a suit that is not shiny!!

So glad Melissa stood up for herself and called Jason out on his behavior.

Still on the fence about Molly and whether she and Jason saw each other before the AFRC but I think they were definitely in contact.

Poor little Ty. He does seem a little bratty, but he’s only 3 or 4 years old. Geez Jason. Why did you have to drag your child (and countless others) into this mess?

Can’t wait for Lincee’s recap later on tonight but I fear it could be her last Bachelor recap!

  149. wildweasel Said,

It won’t last with Molly, even if it’s “real” now. She’ll want a nanny. Melissa would have stayed home with the kid. Melissa showed a lot of class and grit. Even handing back the ring. She should have kept it for her trouble. After all, Dick/Jason didn’t pay for it.

  150. JCat Said,

When Jason was having his supposed meltdown, leaning on the balcony railing – his legs were crossed in a totally casual stance…sort of a ‘la de da, I’m just leaning on the railing taking in the view’. And how did ABC just happen to have a cameraman in the grass below?? Maybe looking for the lamb-on-a-leash?

  151. TudorCityGirl Said,

LOL! Some of these comments are classic!! I wish I got replies like this on my blog!

With all due respect to the person saying we all make mistakes and get confused– yes that is very true. But the reason most of us won’t give Jason a break is because he totally could have told this to Melissa before she showed up on the show. So maybe it is ABC’s doing since they scripted this to cause such drama but a REAL man would have said, ‘no way – I’m not hurting her in front of the world watching, I’m letting her know first’. If she truly had no idea what she was walking into, I think that is cruel on his part.

  152. heidi Said,

#127 Rachel “I can’t wait for the old ladies to slap him with their purses on the street.” LOL! I’m not old, but heck! I’d slap him with my purse if I ran into him! Also “douchebagery” is my favorite word and I’m so glad you used it.

  153. TudorCityGirl Said,

And another observation… Did you notice the body language between Jason and Melissa when she first came out and sat down next to him? She wasn’t close to him at all. Wouldn’t you be right next to your boyfriend? Something was off. I still think she had to have known about this before he did it.

  154. Shameless Said,

OHCH gives some interesting info on the show (and past seasons) in a slideshow on EW.com. It’s called The Bachelor: 17 Burning Questions Answered. Check it out!

I know a lot of ya’ll are hating on OHCH, but I still totally love him.

  155. Steph Said,

Melissa should be the next Bachelorette let her do the dumping……….I will still watch the show.

  156. Colorado Cat Said,

Maybe someone mentioned this already but maybe Jason was contractually obligated to either confirm or deny the relationship on national television??

I agree with whoever said it appeared as though he did break if off with Mel off camera b/c she came onto the set so mad, arms crossed, she knew what was coming but maybe Jason had to do it on camera? I am SOO not defending him…I knew the ending and honestly I was expecting more drama and was kind of disappointed. Molly knew. Mel knew. They were ‘acting’. I agree with Arman above though and whoever said ABC may have had a contract with Reality Steve. Don’t you think his site would have been shut down and ABC’s lawyers would have gone after him? Anyway this kind of stuff happens all the time and ABC just made a lot of money on us….I’ll watch tonight only b/c its on after American Idol!

  157. Colorado Cat Said,

I’ve read that they asked Mel to be the next bachelorette and she said no and that she is with her ex boyfriend and has been for several weeks now….one of the rumors is that she got back together with her ex and THAT’S why her and Jason broke up…so who knows.

  158. Monica Said,

Has anyone else floated the idea that Jason spent the holidays with Melissa’s family and decided he didn’t like them?? Couldn’t live with them?? They shed some light about Melissa he didn’t like?? Just thinking out loud here…

  159. Amy Said,

I really think that ABC shot themselves in the foot. I will NOT watch another season after this.

  160. i didn't watch this season Said,

#157 – Colorado cat – you are right. The talk around Dallas is that Melissa has been back with her ex for a few weeks now and they are pretty serious. I honestly think that is one of the reasons they broke up.

  161. Cindy Said,

When DD showed up, it looked like J kept looking at her stomach like she was going to announce she was prego or something! We thought it was hilarious!
J was bugging me by the end of the season, but I still love OHCH!!
I’ll still watch – it’s just “pretend TV” anyway! I’m ready for the next one! :)

  162. Denise Said,

OHCH’s hair was looking like a bad wig on the After the Final Rose show last night.

  163. LP Said,

    The alleged e-mails… http://bachelor13.wordpress.com/

  164. L Said,

Does anyone know if Melissa has been interviewed by anyone yet?

  165. teamj Said,

#162 agree on the bad wig on ohch!! he looked bizarre! does anyone know of any other talk show circuits that the bach et al are doing this week besides ellen?? please share!!! can not get enough.

and its cracking me up some posters “prefacing” their e-mails with “i know this is shallow but…” people, im pretty sure thats assumed!! the fact that we are all obsessed and commenting on this is shallow–but i love it :)

  166. Berly Said,

Was anyone else sick & tired of hearing J talk about Mol’s eyes???? I think “that” is what he is attracted to and I also think she used those eyes to hypnosis him. Reminded me of Kaa from the Jungle Book!!!JMHO

  167. LP Said,

#157… I just went back and read the alleged e-mails between Jason and Melissa, and not saying they are true (who knows?!), but if they are, she says:
“Anyway, I’m not mad…I’m not hurt – seeing how things were handled, helped me get over things very quickly. I do wish you both the best though.”

    In his response, he says:
” You do not need to give me any reasons for your actions; I think you did what you had to do.”

So, perhaps she did hook back up with the old BF after learning that he was ready to be done with the relationship. Maybe??

  168. Berly Said,

OHCH tomorrow (Wednesday) on Ellen, then Mel on Thursday and then Mol & J on Friday– gotta watch!

  169. junoesq Said,

This whole thing reminds me of when Julia Roberts married Lyle Lovett and a good guy friend of mine was ecstatic because it meant that ordinary or even goofy looking guys HAD A SHOT! Here’s the thing. Jason is a weenie. He was a weenie last season and he was a weenie this season and that’s never changed. He’s okay looking and he has a decent bod, but he comes with the baggage of a failed marriage, has what must be the most boring job in the world because after TWO full seasons we still don’t know what it is and lives in a suburb of Seattle in an ordinary house (or apartment, depending on who is doing the rumoring, but definitely not the houseboat which I almost would marry Jason for, if I really got to live there, but I digress). So he has a chance to marry a DALLAS COWBOYS CHEERLEADER. Someone who every male in the US has fantasized about. Someone who, in his real life, he would never in a million years have a shot at. How could he not go for it?

Still a weenie, though (and all the other words that have been used). Mel can do so much better, but not sure Mol can, so it may actually last :)

  170. Jen P Said,

Chris Harrison wrote about last night….

  171. daisy Said,

I think he dumped Melissa because he was sick of her dumb jokes ;)

  172. TudorCityGirl Said,

Apparently I have no life. I just did some research on this Jason. Molly better watch out. Might be some psychotic tendencies there. Look at the photo I posted on my blog. Notice how bad he looked in the last segment? I have the feeling he might be needing a good psychotherapist after all this….

  173. What an ASS! Said,

#121 – I totally noticed the waddling De-Yawna and the maternity-type clothes as well! Huh.

  174. moxie1234 Said,

Molly…poor Molly. What a moron! Why, oh why, would you take that idiot back? Is it not concerning to you that he keeps saying “I was in love with 2 women.”? I just can’t see myself agreeing to ANY sort of relationship with someone if had informed me that “yes, I am in love with you BUT (and we all know, that BUT is never good) I am in love with this other chick too.” Why would you put yourself through that??

I pretty much pegged Molly for being a few fries short of a Happy Meal from the start. But apparently, I was completely mistaken. She is a complete and total fool.

Did anyone see Jason (aka Serial Proposer) on Jimmy Kimmel last night???

  175. TudorCityGirl Said,

Molly is 24. I did some stupid things when I was 24 too. Heck, I still do. Live and learn….She will.

Amazing how much money the snake is pulling in on all this, huh?!

  176. Dude Said,

    Tudorcitygirl,
ANY person who goes on that show needs serious psychotherapy. I know one of the girls voted off early on and she is f’ing crazy. She had NO business being on the show as she’s not even remotely close to being ready for marriage or especially motherhood. Besides, anyone thinking they will find true love in this absurd environment over 6 weeks is a moron.

  177. ALLAN Said,

Well, most of us got what we expected, but I was more shocked to see some of the outrageous behavior perpetrated by Jason & Molly after their reconciliation. Molly, nice try at deer in the headlights, but you are not a very good actor and the way you and jason made out definitely made me think you had been iChatting for a long time.

Did anyone else notice Chris Harrison’s blog when he said they had not ‘SEEN’ each other since New Zealand? Nothing was said that they didn’t have contact…boy, way to use words to cover your tracks. This really was pathetic…they strung us along with Deanna all season then used the SHOCKER ending to make sure we all tune in. Can I have my 2 hours back?

  178. ALLAN Said,

Oh and Melissa calling Jason a b**tard was definitely not scripted. That was the best thing about the whole night…

  179. Marus Said,

    #166 (Berly)

HAHA! I got so sick of him saying, “when she looks at me with those eyes”. As opposed to looking at him how? Maybe he’s comparing her to Nikki, who looked at him with her ta-ta’s :-P

  180. Vicki Said,

    Check this out. Pretty funny.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hkWJ-qf1OdE&feature=related

  181. Monica Said,

No Melissa doesn’t get to be the new Bachelorette- it’s JILLIAN! Yay!! :) Bring on the hot dogs, O Canada!

  182. Lauren Said,

Anyone see his interview on Jimmy Kimmel last night? It was HI-LAR-IOUS!!!

  183. stef Said,

After reading the alleged emails between Jason and Mel (link posted by #162 – LP) I do not believe that Melissa went back to her ex and that is what broke Jason’s heart prompting him to go to Molly. I DO realize that there is no way of proving that these emails are legit, but based off of them Jason said,”You do not need to give me any reasons for your actions; I think you did what you had to do”. It states that she knew that he had contact w/ Molly so her going back to her ex couldn’t have been that “heartbreaking” for him. I think Melissa was already looking out for herself knowing something wasn’t right. I know we’ll never know the whole truth and there will always be people defending Jason/Molly and those in favor of Melissa. IHMO….Jason is a d’bag

  184. teamj Said,

“THOSE EYES” freak the heck outta me!! they’re like supersize

  185. TudorCityGirl Said,

Dude- too funny!! But so true…you are right. I never watch the show until the last few episodes. In the beginning it seems too much like a house full of loonie, catty, competitive, overly made-up beauty contestants.
I bet the girl you know what a wackjob. I knew a girl who applied to be on it – she was as wacky as they come.

I think the snake is just as crazy…The more I looked at photos of him to put on my blog, the more you can see it in his eyes.

And I can’t believe I missed the only good line of the night — she called him a bstard??!
But still I can’t help to think she knew of this earlier– she did not seem THAT shocked or upset.

  186. TudorCityGirl Said,

A baby with a cross between her eyes and his — yikes!!!

  187. lili Said,

    Where to start?
Jason said from the beginning that he was going to find his wife and propose and told the girls that he was marrying one of them. Kind of a dumb way to dig yourself in a hole from the beginning.
Last season, I was Team Jessie all the way. I thought Jason looked like a too eager puppy dog who didn’t have much personality (Melba!) This season, every time there was more conversation than ….amazing… he went in for the tonsil tickle. End of conversation. Not sure if I think he has enough personality to be a dbag. Just horny and got some guiltless soft porn.
I couldn’t figure out what DeAnna was even trying to say and had to rewind it. What the hell was she even doing there? Was she asking for him back? Could that have been any more awkward??
In the AFR show, Mellissa asked Jason a question and he just floundered and OHCH saved him. Would have liked to have heard the answer to that…
Why was OHCH sitting there for the breakup- maybe to save Jason’s ass if Mel got feisty or asked too hard questions?
I think this show is stupid, but continue to watch as a guilty pleasure. Also for the recap on ew.com and ihgb! That’s what it’s all about!

  188. pittkrew Said,

Judge judy on Ellen when asked what she thought of the Bachelor breaking up with Melissa, “Anyone who goes on tv to find a mate should spend an hour with Dr. Phil.”

  189. Alicia Said,

The grammar that Jason uses just cracks me up. He constantly says “her and I” and “him and I”…..then DeAnna came in with all of her dramatics and says…..”things would have been different if I had ‘chosed’ you”……who says that? Is this just nervousness? I think that Jason and DeAnna both have about a 500 word vocabularly!

I would imagine that tonight we will see a “love story” painted before our eyes and we will be expected to believe, and actually be excited about our wonderful fairytale couple. And may they live happily ever after………..

  190. thatsright! Said,

Hope things work out with Molly because Jason went from a dating pool of three million to one!! Strong work brother!

  191. Sher Said,

Ha! Check out Yahoo’s featured headline right now: ‘Viewers livid over Bachelor’. And ‘Jason gets skewered by Kimmel’. Strong work indeed A*sClown! Good luck on the dating scene jerky!!! Tudorcitygirl, what’s ur blog site so I can see Snake Eyes pic?

  192. BamaGurl Said,

#123 Shannon- you are so right, ” the first time Molly “takes charge” in disciplining Ty, the relationship will be over”. Ohhh, when Molly’s true colors come out around Ty, it will definitely be ovah!!!

  193. TxAggie Said,

I love all of these comments!

So I heard the spoilers ahead of time and like a lot of people was not completely shocked by last night’s ending or all of the drama.

I did read OHCH’s blog and I really want to believe that what he says is how it really happened, not that it was all planned from the start. And I think his time frame really helps to put things in better perspective (if Melissa is back with her ex, etc.) Not that it matters b/c I still love watching this show and will probably continue to do so in the future!

I mean let’s be honest…they were going to break up anyway and even though they don’t normally show the guy going back to his “2nd choice”…it has happened before! Just not until a little later on. Do I think Molly is crazy for taking him back? Yes. But you can’t help who you fall in love with and sometimes no matter how much you try to get them out of your head, you just can’t. No one really knows what happened except for the people involved, and until one of them says otherwise, I will just believe that OHCH is as great as we all think he is.

Can’t wait to see who they pick to be the next Bachelor…I bet they won’t air another bachelorette for a while.

  194. (not that) Dee Said,

Jason should have never proposed, PERIOD! If he was so in love with two girls at the same time, how in your right mind would you consider proposing to one? Even if he would have dumped Molly and said to Mel; let’s give it a whirl, but to propose? That’s a whole ‘nother level…what the hell? Would he have been better or worse then HTC Brad had he said he wanted to see both at the end instead of dump both?

I don’t buy that ABC scripted the whole thing from the get go, but Molly and Jason had OBVIOUSLY been in touch. The way she immediately had her hand on his knee, and then they kept kissing. Dirtbags, the both of them. I never liked Molly, and still want to run a brush through her hair, she’s so unkempt!

Poor Mel, she knew something was going on that was apparant. She held it together well, I give her total props.

  195. CeeCee Said,

Lucky Melissa – free of melba once and for all. She deserves better than that cretin.

As for Molly – REALLY?? Sloppy seconds? On national TV? Girl , are you really THAT desperate??? Am I the only one who was hoping that she would jump into a verse of “I Will Survive”?? She should have just laughed in his face! {{{shudder}}}} How completely embarrassing.

#189 – I hope Ty’s teachers do a better job educating him than Jason’s teachers did. His grammar is deplorable.

  196. TudorCityGirl Said,

    Hey-
I don’t think the site will let me publish my blog address but if you click on my name above it will take you to snake eyes’ picture.
    TCG

  197. Sheree Said,

    #130–OMG, re: Molly’s feet!!

I actually went back and paused it during that scene because I couldn’t believe my eyes–isn’t that sick?? lol

  198. Saggleo Said,

Is my memory serving me correctly or did OHCH ask Jason about giving it a shot with Molly, with Melissa still sitting there?!? I’m not hating on Chris but dude that soooo could have just not been asked, and well Jason could have just not answered it too!!! UGH

  199. Berly Said,

Hey Marus (#179) Did anyone else think that her eyes are blue instead of green?? Maybe he’s confused by the Elton John song! “Your Song”
“So excuse me forgetting but these things I do
You see I’ve forgotten if they’re green or they’re blue
Anyway the thing is what I really mean
Yours are the sweetest eyes I’ve ever seen”

    This should be their song!

  200. Christina Said,

I think the only think that has been “scripted” about this season, was that producers pressured Jason into breaking up with Melissa on the AFTR, rather than in private. I think Reality Steve is a publicity whore on level with Deanna, and wanted to make it sound like there was all this scandal behind the scenes so he wasn’t just letting everyone in on a mere spoiler. Should Jason have proposed when he was in love with two women and felt so torn? Probably not. Should he have broken up with Melissa on national television? Absolutely no. I don’t however think this makes him a horrible person. He admitted that Melissa had every right to be angry, and that he was doing a horrible thing to her by breaking up their engagement.

I think Jason is a good dad, and I think all Ty is going to need is a few quarters in his therapy jar to get over this one. It’s a lot easier to say good bye to dad’s fiancee who you’ve only seen around for a little over a month than to say good bye to a step mom and be exposed to fighting, unhappiness and unrest because a marriage isn’t working out. What Jason did right was being true to how he felt. It was how he went about it that wasn’t too great.

I still love Chris too, and I don’t feel bad about that. Best wishes to Melissa, may she find true love out of the uh, publicness of it all, and I wish the best to Jason and Molly too.

  201. Caltucky Said,

Another fly in the oinment… I heard Molly was pregnant!

  202. C-townchick Said,

Debacle–Webster’s definition: a tumultuous break up(of ice in a river), a violent disruption(rout), a great disaster, a complete failure (fiasco) or more simply put…. The Bachelor, Season 13.
Here are some of my observations of last night’s “debacle”:
    1. What were M & M really talking about when they said “I can’t wait to meet the little guy”?
    2. Why did it sound like Melissa was squeaking like a mouse when she was running to Jason?
    3. I could have caught a great buzz, hell I would have gotten wasted if I drank a shot every time Jason said, “Molly is like oxygen, I can’t get enough” or ” I am completely torn”, let’s not even go to the # of times he cried! ….hammered!
    4. How can ABC drop major cash on flying 10+ people to NZ, putting them up in some fine digs and renting a lamb from a local farmer, and not provide a hairdresser for those girls. They were both channeling, “Nay” with the bangs in my eyes look. ( I know the weather was crappy, but c’mon!)
    5. Molly cried in the limo(kind of) Daddy’s going to be disappointed, Mol :(
    6. J-Dog continued with his annoying nickname game…”Bye, Dee” when Dee took off.
7.Molly looked downright evil in the limo when she said she was ready to be a step-monster, I mean step mom.
    8. Mol: APPARENTLY, Jason was NOT in love with me.
    9. J-Diddy nailed it with the look to the sky, then the deep sigh…Emmy voters take note!
    10. For any “The Office” fans out there, didn’t J-money remind you of “Michael Scott” when he said, “Being in love with two women….sucks.”
    11. Hey Jason, being sucked in by your I am a single dad, been hurt, just Me and Ty for so long….blah, blah, blah crap….sucks!

  203. Valentine Said,

I am amazed that so many of you think that Jason has the acting chops to pull off that scene last night. If he is that good Sean Penn had better look out! The only “acting” that he did was the fake visit with Deanna. If you go back and look at it again you will be able to tell that he and DD were both reciting a script-and very badly.

  204. LB Said,

Accesshollywood.com published the copies of emails between Jason and Melissa that were exchanged following the taping of ATFR. pretty much confirms everything reality steve has been saying the last few weeks.

  205. Jeanne Said,

Agree with all of you that say Jason is a weenie. I have noted many times that, in the “real” world all of these women would have never fought over some low level salesman, single dad, living with his brother in a very humble house, in suburb on the outskirts of the exciting city i which he claims to live. I think Molly will eventually tell him to go pi** up a rope. He’s a loser. I personally never cared who he picked.
HOWEVER, I don’t believe it was a scripted ending. Remember, the Prince ended up dating several of the runners up after he broke his engagement. He just waited until the ATFR had aired.
I still heart OHCH, and actually feel sorriest for him, he is being raked over the coals all over the blogasphere.

  206. JasonSucks Said,

Am I the only one that heard an imaginary lawyer shouting in the background at OHCH, “Objection, leading the witness!” I swear he was leading Jason and Molly like crazy!!

Apparently ABC cut the main reaction of Melissa, they did not leave the shouting, etc. They did a major edit on that one. Which was probably a good thing – it was uncomfortable enough to watch.

I read the emails too, they seem perfectly legit. I don’t think Jason had a script, I think the reason he did so much kissing was so he didn’t have to act! He probably felt like crap about the whole thing many times, no wonder he was crying all over the place. What a d-bag.

  207. QuittingTV Said,

Can we quit saying single dad now and start calling Jason what he is….Divorced Dad??

  208. Tikibabe Said,

Here is a link to Jason’s and Melissa’s emails from AccessHollywood:

  209. DRAGONFLY Said,

Good Golly, Ms. Molly! You did nothing to redeem yourself last night, nothing! Winning at any cost is not really winning. I hope Harrison talked Pageant Queen Nikki into letting Molly borrow her pageant sash and crown for the ATFR 2 taping.

He says he was obligated by contract. ABC says he was following his heart and changed his mind.
So, how will The Douchelor fare in upcoming interviews? He seems incapable of uttering a complete sentence that makes any sense. My guess is that he’ll continue to step in poo without Harrison and/or the cue-card guy to bail him out. No guy with any stones would do what we saw him do last night. As Bachelorette Megan would say, “Man up!”

DeAnna – pitiful…on every level. Hey, DeAnna, here’s your E-ticket to NZ. Sorry we forgot to budget for your wardrobe. Tell you what, just pop into a thrift shop on your way to the airport, OK? We’ll reiumburse you the $10 later.

There was a comment posted on another site which pretty much sums up all things Jason: “I wouldn’t believe anything that comes out of Jason’s mouth even if his tongue were notarized.” And there you have it.

  210. yup Said,

I’m from West Michigan as Molly is, and I can tell you that this whole part of the state is talking about her and it’s not pretty. I don’t know how Mummy and Daddy will ever face the “club” again. She slit her own throat when she kissed Jason 5 minutes after he broke his engagement.

She’s not representative of a Midwest girl from a solid home. The bar is higher than that.

I wish Melissa the very best. I felt she exercised good self-control, even if she did have an inkling of what was to come. I like that she added that Jason “took that from her” when she referred to receiving a proposal once in a lifetime.

  211. Ashley Said,

TUDORCITYGIRL QUIT PLUGGING your site on Lincee’s!!!! It’s ANNOYING!!!!!

  212. ME Said,

206 – Hilarious, love the lawyer comment. You are so right, Jdirt could not answer a single question. He kept lookin gover at OHCH for bailout.

He will do fine on the upcoming interviews because he will follow all the talking points provided to him – Followed my heart. barf! Didn’t mean to hurt Melissa. Barf! He can’t think on his own, we know what he was thinking with during this season. Ewwwwwwww.

I hope Jdirt and Milkin’ it Molly don’t get any new deals out of this. I can’t imagine anyone would want to be associated with them!

  213. DRAGONFLY Said,

#210 yup: I grew up in Grand Rapids, too. What’s the local media doing with this?

  214. Laurie Said,

What’s up with Chris’s new hairstyle ? And did they put a little pepper in his eyes ?

  215. Laurie Said,

I couldn’t help myself … I posted the U Tube Jason The Womanizer clip on my blog.

  216. JasonSucks Said,

Cost of one rose: $3.75. Cost of one engagement ring $150,000. Cost of acting like a scumbag on national tv…priceless!

  217. ME Said,

215 (Laurie) – That is hilarious and brilliant!! I love it, so true. :)
I’m going to work out now and wish I had that on my ipod.

Let’s see how they spin the show tonight. Jason can’t look any better no matter what they try. And that Molly is just disgusting too.

Lincee – bring on the recap!

  218. Shameless Said,

Thank you #211 Ahsley, I agree.

  219. Ohio Said,

    #82 Paul well said

I think Molly should be given the benefit of the doubt. I can’t think of Jason as evil because the adjective that comes to mind is ridiculous. He has made a fool of himself which is hard to do in this day and age where people seem to have very few taboos left. He proposed twice on national television within a year of his divorce! He will look even more ridiculous when the relationship with Molly fails.

  220. Shameless Said,

LOL #189 Alicia, thank you for taking me back to the train wreck that is Deanna trying to speak English! I about died when she said she “chosed” Jesse. omfg. Anyone else remember the outtakes from her season, when she actually said her feelings “have growed” and the producer had to stop her and explain it should be “grown,” not “growed,” and DD said, “Oh, whatever.”

NO, NOT WHATEVER, DD! Learn to speak freaking English! The girl is such a moron it blows my mind. Anyone can make a little slip up, but she has demonstrated that she not only TRULY DOES NOT KNOW that “growed” and “chosed” aren’t words, but that she doesn’t even care!

    *kapow*

That was the sound of my brain exploding.

  221. JasonSucks Said,

#212 Milkin’ it Molly, love that! Tried to post a minute ago…I apologize if this winds up as a duplicate!

Molly is already milkin’ it with Jason…on the cover of People magazine. With their very own photo shoot. Molly obviously has a hairstylist now. That did not take long. (Remember Shayne and her mag cover! lol) It makes me ill that they are continuing to capitalize off their poor behavior. (For all you Jason follow his heart peeps…I am talking about the how it was done, not that he had a change of heart. (cough, cough, sorry something stuck in my throat.)

  222. amy Said,

    1. The Lamb was hysterical. What in the world?!
    2. Yes! The promos during the first show had the girls saying things like “What’s she doing here?” “I felt sick when I saw her”
    3. What the h*** did DDAHnna have on last night? Did anyone notice? She was wearing super sexy stuff during her season and she looked like she was going for an interview last night?
    4. Not gonna stop watchin’ till Lincee stops bloggin’

  223. houstonlawyer Said,

There’s no dispute that Melissa knew she and Jason were over when she went on the AFTR. The thing that upset her so much was that it wasn’t until the AFTR that Jason admitted to her that he was leaving her for Molly. THis is why she called him a liar on AFTR. Per the e-mails, Melissa had confronted Jason with this before, and he denied it. Jason intentionally deceived his fiancee. Sorry Jason, you can’t justify this by saying you were simply following your heart.

  224. JasonSucks Said,

By the way the inside People magazine they are both dressed in white, complete with beach background. Subtle. Jason is even rockin the all white suit in one shot. (I thought good guys wore white. Oh well, my mistake.)

  225. BD Said,

Was anyone else dying while watching Molly tease her hair like my grandmother before the rose ceremony? She creates those ratty pony tails intentionally! Both of their hair was terrible at the rose ceremony though…

Oh, and at ATFR Ceremony, Molly looked like The Lion King with her do, and Melissa was eat-your-heart-out hot. Finally, no pony tail and someone gave the girl a CHI.

  226. MaggieMay Said,

Are we going to watch and post or watch and wait to post until after??? LOL

  227. houstonlawyer Said,

I just saw the recap where Jason tells Molly on the AFTR that he’s falling in love with her and “it will never stop.” Uh, he’s said that same thing to two other women on national television, and then of course there’s his ex wife as well. And, it has stopped every time.

  228. Katie M Said,

Ten minute recap of what we just watched last night. They are riding my last nerve like a pony.

To those of you who are saying that they will not watch but still read the blog. It is so much funnier when you know which crazies Lincee is talking about in her recap. I tried not to watch this season but I had too.

How many rings does Stephanie have on?

  229. MaggieMay Said,

houston.. I always love your posts :-)

I agree. The only person the dirtbag loves is himself!

  230. houstonlawyer Said,

Stephanie looks like she’s been taking eye shadow tips from Molly. What’s with the color swatches on the outside corner of the eye?

  231. MaggieMay Said,

At the risk of offending some… she’s been taking tips from the Mary Kay make up lady (and before you all flame me, I used to sell the stuff so I can say that from experience).

  232. houstonlawyer Said,

231 – either that, or she’s following one of those diagrams on the back of the eyeshadow box!

  233. stupid bach fan Said,

LOL Maggie May. We usually watch and post, then continue to post, then wait for Lincee’s post, and post some more.

Bring it on… Stephanie looks like she’s going to a black tie ball, Naomi’s lipstick is three shades too light…. uh oh, gotta go, here’s d-bag himself, Jace

  234. Kristin Said,

Anybody tired of hearing him talk? Blah, blah, blah…

  235. MaggieMay Said,

The ABC editors/script writers have been working overtime. He’s following the script tonight (not like last night’s debacle on Kimmel)>

  236. MaggieMay Said,

I am going to be fried tomorrow but it will be worth it. I have to be at the airport at 5:30 .. but I figure I’ll sleep on the plane.

  237. MaggieMay Said,

Tell me he did NOT just say she’s becoming his best friend?!!??!!! I’m hearing things right?

  238. annoyed Said,

i wish theyd replay the “you are such a b**tard” moment. that was probably my favorite sentence of all 3 hours

  239. naomi Said,

molly… best friend… hmmmm. jillian flashback.

  240. houstonlawyer Said,

Jason wishes Melissa the best! How can anyone say he’s not a great guy?

  241. MaggieMay Said,

Cause we all have souls that’s why! Was that mean? It sounded mean? :-)

  242. debra Said,

what a bunch of robots. they are all so scripted. he has no appeal anymore.

  243. anna Said,

OMG, he did NOT have to propose to Melissa if he was so conflicted about his feelings for the both of them and he did NOT have to break up with her on national television. Those are the two reasons he is the biggest douche in America.

I can’t believe he actually said he’s proud of what he’s done. What a crock!

  244. MaggieMay Said,

LOL at annoyed (ps – to be honest that b@@tard comment was my favourite part of the whole season).

  245. Tikibabe Said,

this guy is so full of crap i can practically see the poop falling right out of his eyeballs.

  246. stupid bach fan Said,

be sure to ck out that Womanizer video featuring Jason, really funny. He does look good in it tho, if you can get past what you now feel about him.

  247. Rachel Said,

the best friend comment is killing me!! does he not remember thats why he sent jillian home?? some writer is going home for not doing his research before the wrote that line!

  248. houstonlawyer Said,

Molly must have a closet full of strapless tube dresses.

  249. MaggieMay Said,

Are we going to take a poll on how long it takes them to start making out? I call 2 minutes 47 seconds. I think I’m going to need that barf bag we were all asking for last night.

  250. LaLaC Said,

If I hear, “I followed my heart” one more time, I’m going to puke. Lets translate this, Jase: I base my life entirely on feelings. Today my feelings say Melissa, tomorrow my feelings say Molly. When things don’t “feel” good I go look for the next circumstance to satisfy my feelings. Jase, that’s a recipe for another failed marriage. He has no concept that marriage is a decision and commitment, not a hot feeling (all the time). If Jase didn’t think marrying Melissa was a wise choice when they stepped off the Bachelor and into reality, he’s entitled to change his mind. But his justification for EVERYTHING is HIS feelings. I’ve seen enough of Jason to know the guy has no compass in his life, no definable world-view. I fear the poor guy is going to bounce and drift.

  251. Jules in TO Said,

What was Melissa referring to when she said to Jason “No, something happened and you still haven’t been honest about it.” They kept playing this clip yet the host is allowing Jason to completely sidestep WHY he suddenly changed his mind about Melissa. Also, how could his ‘love’ for Molly grow if he wasn’t seeing her and was spending time with Melissa?

Why is the audience clapping for them?? Yuck!

  252. MaggieMay Said,

We don’t SEE the audience clapping. I think ABC has added it through sound effects

  253. Jules in TO Said,

Did Jason say Molly and he are “Partners in crime”?! Talk about a freudian slip!

  254. not watching tonight!!! Said,

This was posted a half-hour ago on People:

…Host Chris Harrison also tells PEOPLE, “We haven’t shown breakups before, but we’ve never had this
situation. We couldn’t not show that.” … Says Harrison: “We just had to show it. We were holding on by
the seat of our pants.” –Cynthia Wang, with reporting by Kimberly Lansing

Oh really, OHCH? You couldn’t NOT show it? You just HAD to show it? There is ALWAYS a choice. I guess we viewers were dumb and thought you might do the right thing. I hate what happened to the people involved but I’m pointing my fingers where they belong–at the network…and myself for watching till now!

ABC, I can’t NOT make this decision: I’m not watching this show again! Sick it to them, Lincee!

  255. Saggleo Said,

In watching the clip when Jason tells Melissa that they aren’t right for each other and whatever was before that…it was edited! If you watch when he was talking to Chris, it was the same view and setup as that conversation. He was sitting straight back in the chair and all, but when talking to Melissa he was turned sideways and the background viewing was different of the stage setup. So I wonder what he really said to her since they clearly edited that scene (and others I’m sure).

  256. Jules in TO Said,

    LOL – too true, MaggieMay!

  257. stupid bach fan Said,

Molly’s doing a better job tonight than last night… so far anyway.

    If he proposes I’ll puke

  258. andi Said,

soooooo confused???? i thought “j” didn’t want to marry or be with his best friend???? stupid boy does he not know that he told jillian that he didn’t want to marry his best friend!!!

  259. DRAGONFLY Said,

and if I hear Chris Harrison refer to Jason and Molly having no contact, not seeing each other, etc. since NZ….oh, crap. there’s a kiss coming any minute………gag

  260. MaggieMay Said,

That’s because Jillian wasn’t as good a kisser as Molly ;-)

  261. DRAGONFLY Said,

    oh…….big slip….we’ve become partners in crime……….no kidding!

  262. Jules in TO Said,

I think it’s going to be Gillian. Their next victim.

  263. houstonlawyer Said,

Did anyone notice that when Jimmy Kimmel asked how Ty was reacting to the Melissa split, Jason answered something to the effect that there are a lot of production staff that come and go, so Ty isn’t really aware/interested that she’s no longer around?

  264. MaggieMay Said,

I honestly think after they jumped in the pool that was the last Ty saw of Mel.

  265. Katie June Said,

YOU GUYS ARE KILLING IT FOR US ON THE WEST COAST!!!

Now I will most definitely have to watch tonight!!! ;)

  266. Rachel Said,

#250 LaLaC – you hit the nail on the head!! That is so true!!

  267. naomi Said,

houston – i noticed… then why did he wait so long to let ty be around all the other women? why couldnt mel talk to ty that night she was at his place? hmm.

  268. Jules in TO Said,

Saggleo, my hubby works in tv and he also noticed that the scene between Mellisa and Jason was edited soundwise as well as visually.

  269. MaggieMay Said,

Sorry Katie!! It’s just the big “love fest” you’re expecting.

  270. Tikibabe Said,

jilliannnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn!!!!!!! aieeeeeeeee! i’m so excited for that cute canuck. she deserves a shot.

  271. Tikibabe Said,

by the way i’m sorry katie! crap i just ruined it. i really am sorry.

  272. MaggieMay Said,

And what do you want to bet there will be one “good Ukranian boy from Alberta” as one of the 25?

  273. Tikibabe Said,

maggie may, you have a very good point there…eye candy galore.

  274. houstonlawyer Said,

I am really looking forward to seeing Jill as the next Bach. She’s such a refreshing change in intellect and articulation from DeAnna and Jason. I hope they find some really good guys for her.

  275. anna Said,

Did this Molly-Jason love fest really make everyone love them? Is everyone really okay with what he did to Melissa?

  276. bc Said,

that jillian is so cute !!! And ARTICULATE !! Imagine that! She does not crucify the English language. I can not believe that I may watch this #$%^&* show again just because it’s Jillian. @#$%^

  277. MaggieMay Said,

bc – That’s just what ABC wanted. They knew they only way we were coming back was if it was Jillian. (Rat b@@tards) :)

  278. hotdog Said,

Did anyone notice Jason putting ketchup on his TACO! I think that is the missing 10% of Jillian’s equation and must explain how such a good “mustard” kind of guy can turn out to be such a turd.

  279. Jules in TO Said,

I wonder if the next show will be FULL of Canadian boys?? I was surprised when they let the first Canuck be a contestant in the last Bachelorette. Now it’s a fully US/Cdn show!

  280. bc Said,

Houston Lawyer, we were typing ‘articulate’ at the exact same time. Such an improvement !!!!

  281. JennX Said,

I’m wondering if ABC will be hiring a language coach to temper some of that Canadian accent of hers. Half of America will be saying, “Aboot? Why can’t this girl speak English?”

I’m excited/dismayed about Jillian. Heart her in a big way, but worried for her at the same time. Le sigh.

  282. MaggieMay Said,

Jules .. is TO for Toronto by chance? (just askin) I don’t think it will be all Canuck boys, that wouldn’t fly in the States. I don’t think as many people would watch. I would expect probably 4 for sure.

  283. anna Said,

Jillian is way too good for this. I’m still mad at OHCH. He really let me down. :(

  284. MaggieMay Said,

LOL at JennX. We do NOT say aboot. We do say data (short a’s) and put u’s in words like glamour, favour, etc but we don’t say aboot. :D

  285. Jules in TO Said,

I’ll definitely watch now that it’s Jillian. She has class and hutzpah! And I’ll bet she is fully aware that even if being the Bachelorette is NOT the right way to find love, it will be great fun, travel and good for her career :) Smart woman!

  286. bc Said,

I like her little inflections — “aboot” is cute

  287. MaggieMay Said,

I will say this, if she “does” have an accent, I have the same one (Northern Albertan).

  288. Jules in TO Said,

MaggieMay, yes, I’m Jules in Toronto (TO for short). Just returned from a 10 day vacation in California (loved it!)

  289. Tikibabe Said,

watch the first 25 guys pull up and take a hotdog from the basket jillian has on the sidewalk when meeting them, and has to choose what topping they want under scrutiny.

if you’re crout (sp?), you’re OUT!

  290. bc Said,

    Kraut

  291. MaggieMay Said,

See only another Canuck would know that. I’m jealous, that sounds like a great trip! I’m taking a trip back to Alberta tomorrow for a week. I can’t wait. Not as warm as Cali but my friends are all back in Alberta.

  292. Tikibabe Said,

    thank you bc.

  293. Lacey Said,

Ditto #287 Maggie May — I’ve probably got the accent too! (in Sask)

  294. JennX Said,

I adore the accent. I’m just thinking, after what we’ve seen this season, that ABC will be doing some “polishing” of Jillian before we see her next… probably strip away a lot of what we love about (aboot) her, alas.

  295. Lacey Said,

I just hope ABC gives Jillian a good edit for the Bachelorette. Otherwise it’s game over.

  296. Jules in TO Said,

While watching last night, my hubby made a very good observation. Jason dumped Melissa after a mere 6 week engagement. Couldn’t he have given it, say, 6 months at the very least??? Not to mention that they weren’t even in the same city for that short time period. Something happened between Jason and Melissa that Jason is not willing to address/admit on television. And for someone who’s willing to do what he’s done on tv, it makes you wonder what that deal breaker is!! Also, I give Jason and Molly about 6 months.

  297. MaggieMay Said,

I think you’re right Jenn. I wish they would just let Jillian be herself but they won’t.

Lacey – yes we both have the, what can we call it, Prairie lilt. LOL

  298. Tikibabe Said,

    where’s lincee’s recap? i keep refreshing hoping that it’ll be there…

  299. MaggieMay Said,

Tiki since you brought up the recap, what do we do between now and May when The Bachelorette starts?

I’m going to go into Lincee withdrawl. Her recaps are what make the show worth watching.

  300. Lacey Said,

Yes, Maggie May. Prairie lilt it is! haha

Actually, I don’t think we would have to worry about ABC’s editing of Jillian. If something bad goes down, Jillian’s awesome grandma will come and kick Mike Fleiss’ ass (and possibly Chris Harrison’s as well) in LA with the good northern AB Ukrainian boy at her side. That would be SO COOL!!! LOL

  301. Mo Said,

Obviously everyone is forgetting how this thing works…….You love them when they are rejected, but then their true colors are shown after they are the Bachelor/Bachelorette and we see they have absolutely no class. Three words……….Bob………….DeYawna………….Jason.

I am a die-hard reality tv junkie and I have many more shows to watch other than the Bachelor now that I know how they operate. I love Lincee and will continue to read and post, but I have no intention of wasting any more time actually watching.

  302. MaggieMay Said,

LOL Lacey. Obviously Mikey boy hasn’t seen the size of some of them – now that would be good reality TV. Think Nanny 911 & UFC meets Urkel.

  303. Cindy Said,

Soooo, I’m on the west coast and I don’t see ATFR2 in my program guide. It’s 8:20 pm here and no show! I thought it was supposed to be on tonight!!?? Anybody else on the west coast able to see it? “homeland security” is on ABC instead – yuk!!!!

  304. Tikibabe Said,

hmm… i’m not sure. wallow in sadness and misery until then haha

  305. Saggleo Said,

Jules in TO – I agree w/ you and your husband! What kind of timing is that!? And how convenient that now everything is perfect with him and Molly in the SAME TIMEFRAME!!! I’d be worried if I were her, but I’m not since I’d have a problem with some dude telling me he loved me after just dumping his fiance before I came out to see him. Give a better reason dude. For real!

Oh Jillian! I hope hope hope the best for her! Heart her sooooo much! They better not have any d-bags in the mix!!! I will say I will love her still at the end of her shows run…because I people believe in giving people time when I heart them so!!!! =)

  306. Tikibabe Said,

cindy– it’s on right after homeland security and two 30min episodes of scrubs

  307. Lacey Said,

LOL Maggie May!!! That would be hilarious!! I think Jillian’s grandma is like a tame Sophia from Golden Girls in real life. With her purse. hehehehe

Where is Lincee??! I’ve been waiting patiently all day for her recap!

  308. Cindy Said,

Thanks tikibabe! I didn’t look that late, I’m used to the 8 pm thing. Guess I’ll watch Idol for a while then! :)

  309. MaggieMay Said,

Remember Lincee’s on business in Alberta. She’s JUST watching it now. They’re an hour behind me and I’m in the Central time zone.

  310. Mo Said,

    Cindy,

Don’t bother, it is a joke and a waste. Another hour I will never get back.

  311. Lacey Said,

crapola…..guess I’ll have to wait until tomorrow morning to read it, it’s getting kinda late here! i am really looking forward to the recap and reading everyone’s comments!

  312. MaggieMay Said,

Applauding for Mo. I posted here more than I watched. Oh and I agree. I hope Jillian can break that trend. Remember Trista was the first Bachelorette. She had class, so did Meridith (?? the second one). It was Jen and Deyawnna that sent it into the tank.

  313. Cindy Said,

Mo, I’m sure you’re right, but I feel like I have to see it through to the end- I’ve watched it all this far . . .

  314. MaggieMay Said,

I would love to stay and chat but I have to be up in 6 hours and at the airport in 7. Take care everyone. I will try to get to a puter tomorrow so I can Lincee’s take on this.

  315. Jules in TO Said,

Saggleo, I agree. This may be reading into it too much, but last night I thought that perhaps unconsciously Jason needed to reject someone (Mel) because he has been similarly rejected/hurt by Deanna (and earlier by his wife). You know that theory that we get into similar situations again and again because we are trying to get closure when we’ve been hurt or when things didn’t go our way. He’s messed up. As for Jillian – yes, I liked her from early on and noticed that all the women on the show respected her. That bodes well!

  316. Saggleo Said,

    Safe travels MaggieMay!!!!

  317. anna Said,

To borrow two things from ChanceLucky’s blog (y’all should totally check it out, he’s funny!):
“All through this, Jason is talking about following his heart, like if it’s in your heart to shoot up a playground full of school children that would make it okay. ”

    and

“If Jason was talking to Molly the whole time, he’s sleazy. If they didn’t have contact, he’s crazy. If the producers made him do this, he’s a wimp. If it was all his idea, he’s well….he’s a sociopath, an individual with a desperate need for attention and affection who has no sense of right and wrong. “

  318. Teresa Said,

    Lincee! Lincee! Lincee!

Where is that girl? I gotta go to bed soon!!!!! Wow, are we a bunch of losers or what?

I kid, people, I kid….Love me some Lincee! Can’t wait to hear her take on all this crap.

  319. Mo Said,

    Cindy,

True, I watched it. I figured I would completely close the chapter on the series. :)

  320. Jules in TO Said,

Good night all! It was fun chatting. If anyone’s in TO, let me know (julie.james@rogers.com). We can have a Bachelorette viewing party at my place next time!

  321. Saggleo Said,

Jules in TO – I’m still tripping (well not really) on the revelation that he says Molly was becoming/is his best friend! UM…but it has to be more than that doesn’t it?!? I’d have more respect for things if they didn’t basically make out right after he just broke up with Melissa. Reading the emails that Accesshollywood posted – just wow! Dude could have handled that way better. Falling on “they made me do it”. What kind of backbone do you have as a man that you can’t just say screw it, she doesn’t deserve that, and tell her up front? Yet, you want someone to need you etc (he seems the type). Well that’s not a man I’d want or need if he can’t just disappoint the producers and not the person he supposedly loves.

I don’t think I’d give him that much credit of repeating something looking for closure since he couldn’t just man up and tell Melissa ahead of time, regardless of what the show TOLD him to do. Take the lashing from them like a man versus the lashing you getting now.

  322. JennX Said,

BTW I loved when Jillian said that her dad didn’t need to see any more hot tub scenes. Thank gourd.

  323. Jules in TO Said,

Saggleo, yes, nothing is making sense here. But hind sight is 20/20. I *was* a fan of Deanna as Bachelorette (yes, this is embarrassing to admit now but I will). Later when she broke up with Jesse and they previewed her re-appearance on the Bach, and that she was going to have her own show, I realized that she had stars in her eyes and was doing all of this for the fame. She didn’t want to settle down with Jesse (or anyone), she wanted a career in Hollywood! Jason’s actions on this show are so bizarre. I was also a big fan of Jason (until last night!) Now I’m just as disturbed that he would treat Melissa so brutally by dumping her on prime time tv. There’s just no excuse for that! Now he’ll pay the price because they public has turned against him.

  324. Tikibabe Said,

    see ya soon maggiemay!

  325. Jules in TO Said,

Yes, JennX, I agree that was funny! Jillian has such a refreshing sense of humour. Night all!

  326. anna Said,

juicy dish from a poster at realitysteve:

I have some gossipy info I thought I would share because this forum has been so entertaining to me. My boyfriend and I are in “the business” but from a more commercial aspect vs. creative aspect you could say. My boyfriend much more than me, so some of this is second hand, and third hand since our friends and basketball buddies are the real source and I am injured and stuck in front of my laptop…

Ok–this morning was a dish session apparently.

    1. Some business types who have met with Jason just as a “meet and greet’ were a little perplexed by Jason–let’s just say that they had to explain everything very s-l-o-w-l-y to him. One guy thought he might have a learning disability at one point.

    2. The thinking was that this season might be a little vanilla, so the production co. let Deanna and Jesse out of their contract to stay together early so that Deanna could add a little spice to the season. Apparently, much more was filmed where she freaked the girls out by showing up. that was supposed to be the drama–whether Jason would run back to her. The current couple has to stay together at least through the AFTR for the next season.

    3. Jesse was very upset by the early release b/c he had set up appearances where he is paid by sponsors for wearing hats, sunglasses, etc and he was paid more if he trotted out Deanna.

    4. Jesse (and Jason) were really aiming to be #2, so that they could become The Bachelor. Jesse even tried to bow out by pretending to panic, but producers coaxed him into it b/c they already thought Jason might provide a new angle. Jesse also apparently was paid by his sponsors for each episode he appeared wearing their stuff, so he thought the tradeoff was OK.. Jesse apparently is a pretty bright guy. Jason apparently has been trying to be the Bachelor for the last 2 years. Whatever. (How could a guy like that thiink he was attractive???)

    5. From a commercial perspective, Melissa is perceived to have bright prospects. She is so burned by this experience and is so young, there is an issue as to whether she’ll bite.

    6. There seemed to be some concern that any of the women would be physically attracted to Jason and whether Jason would “respond” ??, so I think that’s why the GH episode appeared, apart from cross promotional purposes (soaps are apparently dying right now)

    7. To reinvigorate the series, there was a search out for a new “younger, more energetic” host that could interact more with the Bach, but they went with the current host.

    8. The ratings are partially attributable to airing in Feb., which this year is not sweeps because of the digital conversion.. There haven’t been any first run shows opposite the show(?) mostly re-runs. The AFTR is the exception and had to be hyped b/c of that.

That’s all i can remember….oh, someone who met Deanna at a cocktail party thinks she is pretty genuine and down to earth, grounded and plain spoken…apparently caught on to Jesse’s gigs and got out of there and back to Atlanta….goes to church quite a bit?? not really clear about that point.

    anyway, for what it’s worth.

  327. houstonlawyer Said,

#326 – I sure hope that item 7 is not true! OHCH is the glue that has held this show together for the past 15 or so seasons.

  328. this is crazy Said,

I feel so bad for Jillian. God help her. She’s their next victim.

  329. Lauren Said,

This whole season was great. It;s was like a highway car accident that you can’t not look at, as you drive by. I do feel sad for Melissa, but I’m super disappointed in Jillian to accept the offer for Bachelorette. I just don’t want to see that evil Mike Fleiss make a mockery out of her life. Jillian would be much better off finding a local Canuck to settle down with, and not bi-polar love machine guy like Jason.

  330. swirlyturtle Said,

What really annoyed me about Jason on ATFR 2 was how he kept saying how sorry he was that he HAD to hurt Melissa. No, you didn’t HAVE to, Jason, that was a choice you made. Own it.

I don’t fault the guy for changing his mind, I just think the way he went about it was completely classless. I was disappointed that this point wasn’t addressed at all on ATFR 2 tonight, but I shouldn’t be surprised since I’m certain ABC had a lot to do with how it all went down.

The other thing that I found interesting was how multiple times OHCH emphasized that Molly and Jason hadn’t SEEN each other since New Zealand. He didn’t say they didn’t have contact with each other, just that they hadn’t seen each other. From the e-mails between Jason and Melissa (thanks to the person who posted the link earlier) it seems clear that Jason and Molly DID have contact, even if they didn’t see each other in person.

I was one of those who really liked Jason. I feel so duped.

  331. swirlyturtle Said,

Oh, and what’s the deal with Jason referring to Molly as his “best friend” like it’s the ultimate compliment… when it was the same reason he gave Jillian for dumping her?

  332. pineapple! Said,

    Lincee –

Love you, girl. You could blog about the phone book and I’d start reading that!

My local morning radio show had become ‘friends’ of HTC Brad Womack who lives here. They have serious man-crushes on the guy and had him on the show quite often after his season ended.

Today the whole morning show team admitted to watching the Bachelor last night and agreed with only one thing. Brad is no longer the most hated Bachelor. Melba wins.

  333. JasonSucks Said,

Sorry folks, just can’t stand Molly. Even if she wasn’t in touch, even if she is in love (NOT) just bugs me. Oh well, they will be a couple as long as they can drag a little fame out of it. Till Jillian’s season. :)

  334. Sher Said,

God, I just vomited all over myself and couch after watching that bullsh*t! I bet Melissa did too! Regardless of whether or not she is over him now, that had to be nauseating to watch. And Melba looks like a freakin retarded MONKEY! Curious Melba. HA!

  335. Opie Said,

Molly about 7-8 mths from now,..

Setting: a non-descript suburb of Seattle, it’s raining, gloomy and cold.

Our “heroine” is in the kitchen of a small, suburban house wearing sweat pants and flannel shirt. Hair is in an uncombed side pony.

Our “hero” is at his boring insurance sales job wearing a too small, shiny suit and backwards baseball cap.

Interior kitchen: “Hero”‘s brother/roommate comes in the kitchen scratching his bare belly, he burps and grabs a beer from the fridge. “Heroine” is making “hero”s 4-yr old son a PBJ and he’s whining cuz he wants the crusts cut off.

“Heroine” takes a long look around and thinks to herself, “What the French? THIS is the big prize?!? Crap”

    Fade out.

  336. DRAGONFLY Said,

From Chris H’s blog, read the last part…did you know abou this?

Leslie Wed, Mar 4, 2009 at 12:04 AM EST

WOW, so disappointing, Chris. I really liked you, but I absolutely can’t believe you were a part of this and agreed to sit in on that debacle last night. Both you and Jason need to MAN UP & stand up to those a-hole producers that wave that contract BS in your face. Yes, it’s TV, but these are PEOPLE and that trumps money, ratings or contracts. I am so DONE watching this show. God help Jillian. I feel so bad that she has now been roped into this crap. And by the way…just one more tidbit to show just how manipulative this all is…Melissa’s brother WAS at the dinner with her friends in Dallas. ABC edited him out of all the scenes b/c 1. They wanted to play up the “none of her family would meet Jason” bit and 2. They wanted Melissa to be the next Bachelorette & they wanted her brother to be a mole/spy on the show and pose as one of the bachleors, so they couldn’t show his face on TV. Thank God both Melissa and her brother said hell no! I dare you to deny that one, Chris Harrison.

Ok, this is a bit crazytown … there is an item on another site, cites very reliable source (is there any other kind?) saying one point behind Melissa’s anger is that she lost her V-card to Jason. Perhaps when she blasted him with “and you took that away from me”, she was referring to more than a once in a lifetime marriage proposal. Yikes.

  338. Ohio Said,

    337–

I really thought that is what she was referring to also!!

  339. Ashley Said,

GREAT dish Anna #326- very interesting!!! But they can’t get rid of OHCH – we love him!!!

  340. Trixie Said,

Okay, this may have been said already, but with 339 posts already, I couldn’t read them all. Sorry.

Did anyone watch Jimmy Kimmel Live after the first After The Final Rose (ATFR)?

Jason was on the show and he said that Melissa already knew what was going to happen. I believe him, because did anyone notice that Melissa stomped out onto the stage? Jason even said that they had talked about whether or not she would wear her engagement ring on the ATFR because they were not together then.

Later Jimmy asked him why he broke it off with her on national TV and not in private. Jason said that he basically was bound by contract, that the relationship was still not his own. Since the ATFR hadn’t ended yet and he had already broken up with her, he had to do it in front of the cameras. If it had happened after the ATFR, then he wouldn’t have had to do it this way.

My husband and I also think that he was putting all the blame on himself and making himself look like an ass instead of telling Melissa that he realized she wasn’t the woman he thought she was and didn’t want to humiliate her further by telling the whole world that.

    That’s my take on it.

Dragonfly, if I may quote your words: ” Both you and Jason need to MAN UP & stand up to those a-hole producers that wave that contract BS in your face. Yes, it’s TV, but these are PEOPLE and that trumps money, ratings or contracts. I am so DONE watching this show.”
    You said it best.
I’m typing my latest thoughts up on my blog now… Have to admit, I couldn’t seem to resist watching last night.

  342. Veeb Said,

I have one word for Molly. Run!! Jason is a big fat coward and his poor son is going to need the ABC psychotherapist some day, guaranteed.

  343. Shameless Said,

TudorCityGirl, please. Enough with your blog, okay?

#326, I usually don’t believe many random rumors, but I totally buy that Jesse was making money on sponsorships for everything related to the Bachelorette (and thereafter). I read an article BEFORE the show began to air, talking about how he had these sponsorships and every time he appeared on tv he got money, and he just landed a tv gig on primetime with a major network and how excited he was. So he got paid for every Bachelorette episode and then probably gobs more once he was “the winner” and fake-engaged to DD.

I didn’t realize they let them out of the contractual engagement early, but it totally makes sense that he’d be upset because at that point he might stand to lose some dough from it. So now we know why he was REALLY crying in that breakup video he made!! :)

  344. bc Said,

    Amen #343. Enough already.

  345. T Said,

Webman, can you do something about TudorCityGirl? Remove her posts or something? Nobody wants to read her blog and she is shamelessly promoting it on Lincee’s site.

    Go away TudorCityGirl!

  346. Sher Said,

#336 – Melissa’s brother was there?? And they only mentioned about 150 times that J didn’t get to meet her family? WTF! Talk about deceitful. OHCH had to know about that. He shouldn’t try to act so put out and indignant on his blog about all these rumors. Talk about scripted! I guess some of these scripts are flat out LIES. However, on the mole part, wouldn’t that kind of get out after the first show since who knows how many people in Dallas know Melissa and her brother and would recognize him?

  347. smh Said,

    #326
I agree with #7 in that since OHCH just started blogging this season. They probably kept him on this season and made him do the blog to see what viewer’s responses were. Given the backlash he has been receiving, I wouldn’t doubt if they trade him in for a newer model.

  348. TudorCityGirl Said,

The snake’s eyes!!! Sorry I still can’t get over them.

So a TV show has e-mails between Melissa and him and this is what they write:
    e-mail to Melissa.

“The producers had a lot to do with it. I am so sorry. This is so horrible,” Jason wrote.

Yet, Melissa didn’t seem to be buying her former fiance’s reasoning.

“You are a grown man and perfectly capable of making your own decisions,” she replied in a subsequent e-mail. “Own your actions and stop blaming this process.”

    – Melissa is damn write. What a LOSER! But I’m not sure if these e-mails are genuine- isn’t it against the law to break into someone else’s e-mail account…Does anyone know??

Molly seems very in love and very naive. Jason only cares about himself. Time will tell with the two of them but certainly won’t last forever. I felt badly about all my mean remarks when Molly said that people should be more respectful, as they are real people too with families and so many are saying cruel things.

So I still have to post on my blog today about it but in the meantime my last mean comments:
Jason should take all his $$ from this and fix that hook nose.
Prediction: In 10 years he will be pot-bellied and bald. Molly will only be in her young 30s and moving on.
And the new bachelorette – I didn’t watch while she was on and seems there are a lot of fans on here but she is…ugly (sorry). Even if there are hot guys on that show, I’m sure not watching.

  349. TudorCityGirl Said,

Just read the posts. Okay, sorry to offend with my blog. I’m gone. Poof! Promise.

[...] Give it several weeks and an “After the Rose Ceremony” scandal later- I think we are all beginning to realize the depth of the sick and twisted show we have created. 353. enoughsaid Said,

Sorry, guys. But, where the heck did some of you get the idea that “love is a choice”. That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Love is an emotion. You can’t make yourself love or not love someone. It’s there or it’s not. HOWEVER, we do make a choice about what we do with that emotion. People who make a choice to ignore that deep, passionate kind of love live to regret it.
