as an idol fan since season 1, i’ve seen all the finale shows and i must say this is the first i’ve enjoyed. it was actually a great show. of course i was beyond excited about kris winning but i also loved the performances. i think the cyndi lauper performance would have sounded better if cyndi stepped aside and let allison wail b/c it really looked like allison was holding back (which is best when you are singing a duet with the original artist.) loved kara’s showing up bikini girl. totally unexpected and definitely good tv. the kiss performance would have sounded better if they let adam sing the whole thing as his voice is made for that and theirs are a bit old and tired. i swear i thought adam’s armor was gonna light up like a christmas tree or shoot flames at some point. again…good tv !

Well, I said to myself awhile back that Adam should perform with KISS- fits him to a tee – and KISS seems to have extended an invitation to join them. A match made in Hell – for all parties. (‘Cuz using the word “heaven” doesn’t fit in the same sentence).

Really, Adam seems like a nice guy — but, he’s two different personalities. Per his You Tube video singing to a gay audience, he showed off his “gayness” – but on Idol, he tries to be the straight guy for the straight vote.

It was a great finale show — great talent and surprises. What’s so fun and unique about the show is that all their material comes right from the contestants i.e. bikini girl, Tatiana’s antics-over-the-top drama queen – loved how she kept singing, avoiding security and you could hear her voice going to commercial – brilliant!! Who could think of these things- it all came free of charge and of course Norman’s song and dance- classic.

Will be interesting to see how it works out for both Adam and Kris.

Thanks for your play-by-play recount of the events — and being willing to turn in your “man card” for our entertainment.

She was from one of the earlier seasons. She did not last very long and she annoyed Simon much like Tatiana. I loved that Kris won for the same reasons that you did except for the “man crush” Other highlights of the show were Noman (he reminds me of Jerry Lewis) and when Kara belted it out and removed her clothing for charity with the boob enhanced bikini girl.

Great recap! I think my favorite part of the show (other than Kris winning) was when Norman Gentle came out. That made it all worth watching!
