The view from where I sit

Sweet, huh?  Do you like my socks?  How about that nice autograph from my doctor to make sure he chopped up the correct knee?

As you can see, I’ve completed my first round of surgery and am doing great.  Thanks so much for all of your well wishes.  So far, I haven’t seen any Care Bears, so I’m considering this a victory over my previous two!

  1. Heather Said,

OUCH! That looks sore. Take care of yourself.
I wonder if this means she’ll have more time for blogging…did I just say that out loud? :)

  2. CPP Said,

    Get well soon!

  3. RM1SW Said,

I like the socks! Get well soon!

  4. Courtney Said,

I have been there, man have I been there! Best advice from on suffer to another~keep vitamin E on that scar at all times, and major suncreen (all the time) when it’s time for it to see the sun (this kept my scar from becoming “scar tissuey” ugly and dark)! Best of luck with recovery!

  5. Bethe Said,

Ahh, hope you feel better soon, Lincee! I’ve been sick all week with the swine flu (there, I said it!) and I bet we’ve been watching the same horrible daytime television. Praying for a speedy recovery for that knee so you can get back to your salsa dancing.

  6. Loves volcano explosions Said,

Get well soon. But does this mean you won’t be at the premiere of FAME this Friday????

  7. SGT Cole Said,

Lincee – am I the only person NOT doing salsa dancing around here? Maybe I should blow off the skydiving certification and get my groove on (I sound white even when I type that).

I reaaaaally dread going to Hallsville. How about I just come to Houston and visit you?!! Oh, I can’t stand that place…

  8. katie Said,

I’m not sure if this is old news and has already been discussed, but I just saw an ad on E for Shayne Lamas new reality show. Living with Lamas…or some other alliteration similar to that. Looks like she got all she REALLY wanted out of The Bachelor show after all!!

  9. CeeCee Said,

Feel better soon, Lincee! Wishing a seedy recovery to someone I don’t know- yet you still make me laugh! Hope you’re up and around soon.

  10. CeeCee Said,

Oops. That should say SPEEDY. Not seedy. Stupid itouch! LOL!

  11. Joy Said,

    Ouch! Heal quickly!

  12. AggieFan Said,

My mom makes me a pair of those socks every year for Christmas! Hope you heal quickly…I had knee surgery a year and a half ago and I still hurt once in awhile……good luck to you!

  13. SC Said,

Awww, poor Lincee! Tell SGT Cole that he should be taking care of you, seeing as how the only thing better he has going on is skydiving and touring the country! ;) Get well soon!

  14. LonghornFan Said,

Is that one of those icewater pumps in the background? Loved having that after my knee reconstruction.

  15. Deb Said,

Wishing you a full and speedy recovery. Love the socks by the way, I made the matching scarf as my first knitting project last year :-)

  16. Debbie Said,

Hey Lincee, best wishes for a speedy recovery. Wonder if they will bring you the electic knee bender contraption they gave my brother in law? I’m not squeamish but I cringed every time I saw it bend his knee. You know, if you have pain meds, that might be the best for viewing “Three big nights of Dancing With the Stars”. Someone shoot me now.

  17. SaraTx Said,

    I hope you recover quickly!

  18. Cheekymonkey Said,

OUCH! Girl, I’m surprised you didn’t schedule this around the next bachelorette season. :) Oh…it IS Dancing with the Stars season though, isn’t it…

    Be well!!

    T

  19. Missy TX Said,

I hope your church is bringing you food, work sending you flowers and family bringing you presents!

  20. Julie Said,

LongHornFan – I SO caught the ice water pump too! I actually mused out loud “is that a POLARCARE”? Those are the BEST. THINGS. EVER. Had one for my ACL reconstruction & removal of torn cartilage like 10 years ago.

  21. saggleo Said,

    Good Luck with your recovery!

  22. SC Said,

At least there are some good shows on now to entertain you through your recovery! Lincee, you have to watch that new show “Community”, it is hilarious! Plus, The Office is back… with my sweet Jim!

  23. Jessica Said,

As someone who had a fifth knee surgery about three months ago, I feel your pain! Good news is that you’ve got lots of new Fall TV to keep you entertained! Hope you’re feeling better soon.

  24. Anne Said,

Is that one of the infamous couch cushions you hide behind during unwatchable segments of the Bachelor/Bachelorette? Now I have a visual!
    Get well!
