(Side note: my grandmother – Doodle – always told me that I should never EVER take a picture with a boy/engagement photo that features my arms wrapped around his neck like a noose. She said it subliminally tells people that the girl has control issues and that the guy isn’t manly. OUCH!)

What I would like to see is Melissa as a special correspondant for Good Morning America doing color commentary at their wedding with Our Host Chris Harrison. She could dance with Tony Dovolani at the reception and really show Jason what he missed out on.

wow I really don’t care if they get married/are engaged either. Ick. Just looking at them makes me want to throw up a little. I’m not really excited about Jake as the next bachelor either, I LOVED Reid and am really sad he’s not going to be on tv.
However, I will be watching as always, because the trainwrecks are what makes the show really interesting anyway.
I read the people article and he went back to New Zealand to propose… to do what he should have done in the first place. Do you think ABC paid for the tickets? Think their cameras were there? I’m sure they would not have missed it!

Just because they are engaged doesn’t mean they will get married…look at all the other people that have been “engaged”.
I really don’t care either….I never liked Molly….from DAY 1. She either hides her feelings really, really well, or she is fake. I don’t like her smile, it looks fake. They just don’t seem to fit together…they don’t look right together. It seemed to me all their “alone” time that we were able to see was contrived if not forced. I just don’t like them together.
But hey, who am I to judge? Whatever makes them happy. It’s not my life, it’s theirs…..good luck to them.

I wonder why more people don’t take their engagement pictures on a bed with rumpled sheets while looking half-naked and lounging all over each other? All of those touches just give it that extra something special. Don’t you think?
I think it was tacky that he proposed in New Zeland where he “broke her heart” and chose another girl. But then again Jason is a big d-bag in my book anyway. I never liked him as the bachelor, he ranks right up there with he who shall remain nameless. Molly was my least favorite of the girls. So maybe they are perfect for each other. IMHO…I don’t see it lasting. Even if they make it to the alter to prove to everyone that they would marry, I don’t give the marraige much longevity. And “naked” Molly draped all over Jason is just trashy for an engagement photo.
Really, stef? Because I saw it as him trying to right the wrong he did there, which is pretty romantic in a Melba-esque kind of way…

#14 Missy – I guess I look at it like this….if it was me I wouldn’t want to go back to a place that brought me heartache even if it was “to right a wrong” I would want something romantic and new. Kind of a new begining. But that is just me. But I can see how it might be construed as romantic (in a Melba-esque kind of way

I doubt this is their official engagement photo. I also think Jason had good intentions when he picked NZ as his engagement destination.
I was very anti-Jason at the end of last season. I now, however, feel that this sort of justifies what happens. IF they do get married, then at least he didn’t go through all that drama for nothing.
I am rooting for them.
They humiliated Melissa on national television. Yes, she came out very well in the end because of it, but if that poor girl had to go through the embarassment of it all, at least let it be for a reason. I hope they really are right for each other. But I’d be surprised if they really were.

Awww I actually am really glad they got engaged. They took some time and fell in love like a normal couple does…okay well a semi-normal couple but STILL I think they’ll make it. Good for them!

Well, I happen to see a clip of Jake being interviewed by E! And holy moly, this season could be quite hysterical. The interviewer asked him if he would consider doing Dancing with the Stars… to which he resonded, “I am a dancer. I’m a Latin dancer….but you know, I’ll be engaged, so it would depend on what my fiancee things.” Jake? A Latin Dancer? Somehow I would have never in a million years guessed that. I need to see his “moves” immediately!

Instead, here’s what I see: Melba/Molly wedding coincides with announcement of the next Bachelorette (undoubtedly, whoever Jake ditches as the F2 or F3). Followed shortly thereafter by Melissa’s wedding which either coincides with the start of The Bach’ette season, the announcement of the next Bach (a dumpee of the Bach’ette, because we must keep the cycle going) OR a new season of DWTS featuring OHCH paired up with Cheryl.
