I have never followed the World Series closer than I did this year. I experienced so much anxiety for no reason. No–I’m not a Yankees fan. No–I’m not a Phillies fan.
I’m a Glee fan. And a So You Think You Can Dance fan. And this World Series has really jacked up the viewing pleasure of two of my favorite shows. I’M SO GLAD IT’S OVER SO WE CAN RETURN TO NORMAL AND I DON’T HAVE TO BE MAD BECAUSE I THOUGHT MY DVR FORGOT TO RECORD!
I first blogged about Glee before it ever came out. It was the inaugural post of my new category entitled “How Have We Not Talked About This?”
Singing. Dancing. High School kids covering JOURNEY for crying out loud?
I’m so there. And you should join me.
And since YouTube is bumming me out by NOT letting me post my favorite clips, I’m forced to use my words to convey the oh-my-awesomeness that is Glee.
I adore Mr. Schuester. Rachel is perfectly cast and I love her adoration of Broadway. Finn is very tall and handsome. Kurt is my favorite gay character since Mark on Ugly Betty. Mercedes can sing. I mean SING! Puck has that “bad boy” thing going for him that I would be secretly attracted to if the mohawk didn’t throw me off so much. Sue has the best one-liners on TV and I am not ashamed to say that I sometimes work these little digs into my daily routine. Other than the annoying fake baby plot, I can say that I am emotionally invested in all of the characters.
And the downloads. Don’t get me started on the downloads! “Don’t Stop Believin’” was in my iTunes family the first moment it was available. And the mash-ups? BRILLIANT! I can even say that Mr. Schuester’s rendition of “Bust A Move” and the “Thong Song” was entertaining!
Are you guys in love as much as I am? Did you buy the cast album? Will you be visiting our beloved characters at an appearances coming to a mall near you in the future?
PS: Thank you so much to webMAN for taking the time to post a birthday entry for me. You guys are amazing. I am overwhelmed by the well wishes!
