Ok, I absolutely loved the books, but have hated both movies. I'm sorry if this offends people, but I can not get past Kristen Stewart. She drives me up a wall. She is so one dimensional, and has the same emotions for happy and sad. I did not see her smile once or shed a tear during New Moon. I really wish they would have casted someone else to play Bella. I did love the wolf pack even though I'm team Edward. I laughed during the scene when the boys were topless in the rain and by the woods calling out to Jacob. If you hadn't read the books, that scene is hilarious.
I will go see all the movies and looking forward to Breaking Dawn the most, and hoping for a miracle that K-Stew will be able to pull off a little more than looking mad all the time.

Agreed AggieFan. If you have read the books, you know that Bella is very weird, awkward, clumsy and just all around goofy. With that being said, Kristen is perfect. I think they blurred the lines a little with the books, but overall I think they did a great job. It is really hard to take an excellent book and bring it to the screen with the same amount of excellence. Books just give you too much time to develop feelings for the events and characters and the movie has to shove it down your throat in 2 hours or less.

I agree we need more of the pack! They looked superfantastic and I am sure we will get more of them in Ecllipse.

My favorite parts:

1. Bella and Carlile in the study. I love Peter he is so hot, and we don't get enough of him.
2. Adding the Victoria angle with Harry Clearwater in the woods.
3. Everything Arro did. He was absolutely entertaining and made the Volturi scenes priceless.

Can't wait for Eclipse. :)

So much analyzing.....Kristen's character is supposed to be all dark and twisty....I think she plays it beautifully. Taylor is absolutely hot in this movie...not just his body, but his voice. Have you seen interviews with him? He's such a sweet, cute little boy in his interviews. In the movie, he sounds manly....I think he's going to be a fantastic actor one day...he is a good actor now. Overall, I was really pleased with the movie. I was engrossed in the story line and the romance of it all so any deficiencies in the abilities of the actor's themselves went unnoticed by me. I can't wait to see it again......

I never considered myself "Team" anything...I was evenly divided when it came to Eclipse, but it was just natural that she end up with Edward. No big deal. No team to really choose.

Then I saw New Moon.

I'm not sure why, but looking at it with a cool eye (and tearing my eyes away from those abs) it seemed like Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner had unbelievably good chemistry in this one. And I know that Pattinson didn't have very many scenes, but he and Kristen hardly lit it on fire when they were together. Again, I don't know whether that's a condition of him not being in the movie much, or what, but by the end of the movie I very strongly felt like screaming, "You belong with Jacob, HELLO!!"

Loved this movie much more than Twilight, but some parts felt very slow, and also I have to say this - the music was terrible! The score was bland and generic, and the other songs they used just didn't add much. Which was a shame, because I loved Twilight's score almost as much as I loved the indie rock they chose as well. For me, the music saved Twilight, and the music definitely detracted from New Moon.

100% Team Edward!! Not that Taylor aka Jacob isn't hot but after reading all of the books (I plowed thru 3 of them in the last week and a half) it just has to be Edward. #12 - Ann, I just finished reading the last book and I couldn't agree with you more. I'd like to see it made into a move just to complete the series but Kristen is such a bad actress that I can't even imagine her pulling off the part in the Breaking Dawn (IMHO).

I too heard that Edward (Rob's) abs are real and that he worked out a lot to get ripped but they had to enhance them with make-up. Drawback of being a pale vampire I guess.

Stumbled across your blog, so sorry if these are unwanted comments. I will agree that Taylor was a cute boy in the movie. But other than that, this was one of the worse movies of all time. I loved Stephanie's books, but the movies (both of them) just ruined it for me. Maybe that is all that she wrote it for though, was teenagers to love and not really judge. But no matter my thoughts, the movie numbers and $$$ spoke for themselves. I just think that so many people hyped it up, that it would be embarrassing to write about how horrible it was!!!

I also want to say that the way that S. Meyer wrote it and how fantastic the last book was, there is no way that K. Stewart will pull it off. She may be a great actress (not judging on this movie though), but I hope they don't try and make the last book a movie!

Two things that stuck out to me in the movie: (1) all of the Cullens got new and much more noticeable gold contacts - you could see 'em coming from across the room, and (2) the producers obviously had a much bigger make-up budget because the Cullens didn't have quite the "French mime" look they had in the first movie (although, they still need to work on toning down Edward's lipstick - heh)...

I'm glad to see that I'm not the only woman who is lusting after an under age, buff "kid" like Taylor. But I will say I enjoyed this movie better than Twilight, no matter how bad the acting was at times. I liked how the colors looked real, there wasn't a dull overlay to the movie. I also like how Bella narrated by emails to Alice. It helped the movie go on with the story line. Oh, and I'm Team Edward, but Team Jacob is not far behind...
