As National Blog Posting Month comes to an end, I feel like patting myself on the back. I was successful in writing something down (even if it was embarrassing or silly) each and every day in November. I should treat myself to a cookie or a white hot chocolate from Starbucks, but those currently aren’t on my diet. Only 18 more days and I’ll be home free.
You see, the big surgery is only weeks away and that’s when the “healthy eating” goes out the window. That’s right…the ACL reconstruction is down on the calendar for December 18. MERRY CHRISTMAS. We’re hoping that third time’s a charm, but you never know with my freak appendages.
Now that doesn’t mean that I am just going to turn my back on blogging between now and then. There will be PLENTY to share in the coming weeks. I have parties that will inevitably provide moments of my sarcastic wit to shine. I have three technical papers due before I go under and we all now how exciting that can be.
And we have Christmas Cafe in which I will be co-hosting with my friend Jill. Remember how we were lounge singers last December? This year we are flight attendants. And we will be serving up sarcasm and humor during the entire flight.
With that said, thanks to everyone who emailed me and left messages in the comment section regarding your love of my daily posting. I appreciate it more than you know.
But let’s face it. It’s important to remember where you started from in order to appreciate the journey.
Long live the Bachelor.

Thanks for a great month Lincee!!!! I realize I’m of the wrong sex to be watching this show or be on this site, but damn it, it is 2009 and I can relish in my metrosexuality. How come you didn’t write about the re-enactment this year?
The graphics on The Bachelor ad are the same graphics from the opening credits of the Leo Dicaprio movie “Catch Me If You Can”. The tag line of that movie is “The true story of a real fake”. Coincidence???

As someone who has had 3 ACL repairs and a bone graft within the space of 13 months, I know the frustration and pain you have had and are experiencing. My excessive surgeries resulted from a doctor who did not do the surgery correctly the first and second times. I hope yours were not the result of the same.

Lincee, I too, have really enjoyed coming to your blog every day for a guarranteed giggle or nugget of wisdom. But I’m excited to get back down to brass tacs again and talk Bachelor. Just watching the preview made me cringe…I was a big Jake fan early on last season, but I am certain this season will be a hilarious, cringe-worthy trainwreck! Can’t wait to hear what you have to say about it!!
Ahhh, Lincee, it’s been a great 30 days! Thanks for posting so much for us beaners, now I think I’ll start my withdrawals…shakes, twitches..you know, the usual stuff.
BTW, I’m REALLY struggling with the idea of Jake being the bachelor… he’s too…stiff and soap opera actorish for me. **big sigh*** I guess I’ll just hope for big bad drama in the house of ladies!
Last night I watched the clip that Lincee had posted of Jake, and said out loud, “Jake, you’re cheesy and LITTLE!”. My boyfriend goes, “Do you KNOW Jake?” I started laughing, I was like, “No, but some of the girls on IHGB know him/have met him, and say he’s little!” It was pretty goofy.

You’re the best, Lincee! I was talking to my grandma at thanksgiving dinner and she remarked that she has has January 4th marked on her calendar for Jake. He may be a cheesy, short little man, but dang he’s pretty.
