So naturally I set my DVR to record Saturday Night Live.  And let me tell you dear reader…

It wasn’t that bad!

I found myself laughing out loud at his opening monologue.  The Barnes & Noble skit was funny.  His cameo in the digital short was gross but still made me chuckle.  His Scott Brown spoof made me giggle several times.

But this was my favorite by far:

Look at that.  Don Draper and Michael Bubbly.  Together.  Being funny.  I couldn’t ask for more.  I should start a new category since I’ve posted about moments like this here and here.  I shall call it “Lincee’s Crossroads.”

Of course, I welcome any Crossroads suggestions to be considered for future posts.  I’ve already sent Our Host Chris Harrison a request to video himself drinking a Dr Pepper.

Fingers crossed!

  1. Karen Said,

GREAT shout out to Jon Hamm and Michael Buble! I also laughed out loud a few times. It was much less painful than the January Jones episode.

  2. Karen Said,

PS – Yes, let’s encourage Chris Harrison to enjoy a Dr. Pepper! I love the Crossroads idea! ;)

  3. Sunnybunny Said,

OMG! If you like that, you’ll love this!

  4. heidi Said,

I love Jon Hamm. And I enjoy that he made fun of the fact that people can’t distinguish him from the character Don Draper. I know I can’t.

  5. SGT Cole Said,

The Scott Brown stripper thing was hilarious.

  6. Kristin Said,

Yeah! I agree. It was a great episode. And I totally agree about the digital short–it was funny AND a little disturbing. Haha.

Have you seen the commercials for tonight’s Bachelor? They are calling Vienna a Vixen and all kinds of evil things on the commercials! This will be a fun episode, I think!

  7. Aspiring Fashionista Said,

Gracious, if Don Draper wasn’t hot enough already, he’s also funny, which makes him all the hotter in my book. I loved loved loved the Digital Short (Sergio!) and the Scott Brown skit. It’s prompted me to say, “I’m about to filibuster out of these jean shorts” at least five times a day. And then Michael Buble made my face melt with his adorableness, abilities, and hilarity. He was better than some actual hosts they’ve had on there.

  8. OKCBecky Said,

I guess I’m socially out-of-the-loop… but who is Jon Hamm/Don Draper? I’m obviously missing something somewhere

  9. gc Said,

OKC Becky, MAD MEN….AMC!!!!! THE MAN IS CRAZY HOT!!!!

  10. OKCBecky Said,

ohhhhhhhh… got it! knew he looked familiar — thanks for the head’s up!

  11. Aspiring Fashionista Said,

OKCBecky, Netflix it ASAP. Not only is it an amazing show, but you get a reason to stare at John Hamm without being a creeper. Win/win!

  12. A Canadian Girl Said,

I thought Michael Bubbly was so funny in this. I totally think he should host SNL. This was a really good SNL. Loved Snooki on the news too.

  13. Saylor Said,

I, too, vote for Michael Buble to host SNL. I have been to three of his concerts (and hoping on a 4th coming up!) and he is hilarious. He’s got a twisted and slightly peverse sense of humor, much like myself. His concerts are like half songs, half comedy act. He’s not half bad to look at either ;) I haved loved this guy since I saw him on the Today show–Valentine’s Day with Katie Couric. I think it was 2004. Not that I’m obsessed.

  14. OKCBecky Said,

Thanks for the head’s up Fashionista —- I’ll see what I can do

  15. Mandy Said,

Loved the Hamm & Buble skit on SNL! I have the Buble channel on pandora playing right now!

  16. JenKC Said,

As a Mizzou grad, Jon Hamm is quickly become my fave Mizzou alum (yes, even more so than Brad Pitt and Sheryl Crow).

    - Shout out from a Mizzou Pi Phi!
