Our Host Chris Harrison: “Once upon a time, there was a handsome single dad from Seattle who was looking for love and searching for his soul mate. He found his true love, then dumped her on TV and asked Molly to marry him. This is their love story.”

That’s right ladies and gentlemen. According to Harrison, this is the wedding that America has been waiting for!

Seriously. I didn’t make that part up. He actually said that on camera. With a straight face. And a twinkle in his eye.

This is why we adore the Hare.

Since I’m knocking this recap out with only 30 minutes to spare before I have a phone chat with my new BFF Cord McCoy (Mesquite Rodeo THIS WEEKEND PEOPLE!) I thought it might be fun to make last night’s curious, memorable and head shakable moments into a quiz. Get all the answers right and you could win your very own pair of kicky green Manolo Blahniks!

Let’s begin!

Which was more cheesetastic concerning Jason’s opening montage?
a.   His tough guy facial scruff that when left to grow, would turn into full-blown mountain man in a matter of hours.

b. Jason’s “be present” t-shirt.

c. Jason carrying Molly around Seattle on his back as if she were a baby Cottontop Tamarin monkey at the Bronx Zoo. (Totally Googled that.)

d. How he rhymed “star gazing” with “amazing” in a pre-ceremony note that the wedding coordinator made him write before she attached it to the wedding bouquet.

Which was your favorite location in which Jason began to cry?
a. On the bench when he’s remembering dumping Melissa on TV.

b. In the meadow when Ty comes running toward him.

c. The alter when Molly walks down the isle.

d. When Jason is reflecting with his father as he looks at their reflections while trying on tuxedos. That’s deep.

Moment you knew there will inevitably be a naughty x-rated tape of Vienna and Jake.
a. When Jake said, “A day with us will make you throw up.”

b. When Jake said over a pot of boiling noodles, “I feel deprived. I need a kiss.”

c. Eating one of the said noodles a la Lady and the Tramp.

d. Jake covering Vienna’s eyes as they watch Ali straddle him in the middle of a park in San Francisco. This actually turns Vienna on.

The moment in which you screamed and pointed at the TV:
a. When you spotted the ABC intern frantically throwing plastic over anything that stood still.

b. The fact that the ABC intern was wearing a black “Bachelor” shirt.

c. The fact that the ABC intern was hotter in person than in your imagination.

d. All of the above.

Which of these statements presents the bigger Jim Halpert face moment during the Jill and Ed montage?
a. Jill is planning a wedding and there is no wedding date.

b. Jill is happy that their potential wedding location has a lake…or an ocean…nearby.

Which song best describes the moment following former Bachelor Charlie’s announcement that he and Sarah will be moving in together at the precise same moment Sarah says she won’t be moving in with Charlie until she’s engaged?
a. Single Ladies

b. Breaking Up Is Hard To Do

c. This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)

d. Don’t Know What You’ve Got ‘Til It’s Gone

Which sponsor had the best product placement of the night?
a. Neil Lane – Official ring sponsor of The Bachelor

b. Macy’s – Official wedding registry sponsor of The Bachelor

c. Bellagio – Official Bachelorette/Bachelor party sponsor of The Bachelor.

d. Ken Paves – Official hair extension sponsor of The Bachelor.

Why did Molly and Jason feel that their wedding planning was super easy?
a. Because ABC paid for the entire thing.

b. Because ABC paid for the entire thing with the help of Macy’s.

c. Because ABC threatened to pull the plug if Molly and Jason didn’t like everything the wedding coordinator (paid for by ABC) suggested.

d. Because ABC paid for the entire thing. For reals.

The 17 girls who were invited to Molly’s bachelorette party consisted of:
a. Her sister, bridesmaids and house party.

b. Her sister, bridesmaids and any Pi Phi pledge class members who were still single.

c. Her sister, bridesmaids and daughters of top executives and Macy’s.

d. Her sister, bridesmaids and the floor show from Cher’s show at Caesars.

Jaw-dropping, high fiving one-liners from the show:
a. Stripper teaching Molly to dance: “We start with grabbing the ankles. And then push the butt up.”

b. A nameless dude toasting Jason: “Of all the women Jason has proposed to, Molly is the best.”

c. ABC security tackling a member of the paparazzi, putting him in a head lock and hand cuffing him on the side of a ravine.

d. Jason Castro playing his ukulele while singing “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” while a rainbow is actually in the sky.

Favorite Ty moments:
a. Ty making brownies with Molly on national TV.

b. Ty tackling Molly at a park on national TV.

c. Ty reading a book with Molly on national TV.

d. Jason telling his Dad that he and his ex-wife have decided that Ty shouldn’t be on TV.

Best former Bachelor cameos that made you think of six degrees of separation:
a. DDAHnna…who dumped Jake for Jesse the snow boarder, smiles lovingly at her new boyfriend Stephen who is the brother of Break Dancer Mikey who was dumped by Jillian. Harrison looks at DDAHnna’s left hand which is ringless. Mute Stephen says nothing. DDAHnna scolds Harrison for scaring her boyfriend. NOW SHE’LL NEVER GET MARRIED OR HAVE AN ABC WEDDING SPONSORED BY MACY’S.

b. Jillian…who was dumped by the groom…is there with Ed. Our Host asks if there is a wedding date set. Ed laughs and gives Hare a “bless his heart” look as Jillian confirms that their Macy’s sponsored wedding will have blue skies. Or at the very least…an inside contingency plan.

c. Snow boarder Jesse, who was dumped by DDAHnna sitting two rows over, had a wing man in Richard and is totally getting the 4-1-1 on Nikki who was also dumped by Jason.

d. Single Mom Stephanie…who was let go by Jason…is wearing the latest fashion forward style – pink fur. Her outfit was sponsored by the letter Q and the number 7.

The torrential downpour during Jason and Molly’s vows reminded you of:
a. Hurricane Ike

b. That scene in Karate Kid II where Daniel San has to save the little girl ringing the emergency weather bell.

c. Gene Kelly

d. Your worst nightmare.

True or False
Our Host announced during his toast that he had a surprise for the newly wed couple. Instead of a wedding song by Gavin DeGraw, you thought Melissa Rycroft was going to pop out of the cake.

True or False
Molly actually told Jason that their story was the perfect trifecta of reality, romance and roses.

True or False
The statement above made you throw up a little in your mouth.

Let me know how you did! Until then, I’m

All about the shame, not the fame,

Lincee

  1. MarriedWithEyes Said,

LOVE IT! You are the girl, Lincee. You are the reason ABC can still turn this stuff out and have us watch!

So are you talking to Cord before you meet him or did you already meet him?

  2. Michelle Said,

You SAID IT RIGHT ON Lincee! I kept thinking… how many people in the crowd have kissed, grouped or slept together…how awkward! Weird too that Kip (no abs shown- sigh) was sitting at the same table as Ed and Jill! To add to DeAnna, she dumped Jason, I almost forgot about that! OHCH cracked me up all night with his perfect “storm and rainbow” analogies! Molly seemed to calm though, I actually liked her a lot more in this special than I did the entire season last year! She wore the hair and dress perfectly, even after the down pour. Kudos to ABC for bringing the wedding into our living rooms….married lady porn I tell ya!

  3. heidi Said,

did anyone else think that with all the former baches and bachettes in attendence at this wedding, that this show is getting a little incesty?

  4. yup Said,

Molly still has buggy eyes and an edge to her that is hard to stand. Plus arrogant.
Jason still seems weak and waffley.
    I feel bad for Ty.
I give them less than 5 years.

  5. boooovienna Said,

I am much more interested in hearing how it goes with Lincee and her cowboy than I was watching this wedding. I literally made it to the first commercial then turned it off.

  6. magrag Said,

A friend was in Las Vegas while the bachelor party was filmed, and said most of the guys were random “extras” and didn’t even know Jason. She also said Jason was strikingly handsome in real life and that his teeth were almost distractingly bright white. I’m an avid greenbeaner, but could NOT bring myself to watch last night. Yuck.

  7. will Said,

    1) Why were all the guests sitting on COFFINS. Really, I think they were coffins covered in white sheets. This was odd.

    2) You pay that much for a wedding planner…and the planner doesn’t have a back up in case it rains…or in this case POURS. Super fun for the guests. Sit on coffins, be cold and wet.

    3) Is it weird that their family was there…but all of their “friends” were really people they don’t know from the Bachelor/ette series?

    4) Trista and other members of the bach. team didn’t have good things to say about Jason when he dumped Melissa….so it’s confusing that they are now such great friends they are invited and show up to the wedding.

    5) Sadly, I made the comment ” I give it 2 years”

    6) Ty was not to be on TV during the ceremony….however, it is fine that we show him in all other scenes including where he lives.

    7) DeYAWNA (blink blink blink) said her and her BF were “FANTASTIC” a little too eager. Which leads me to believe…it’s not so fantastic.

    8) Molly pointed to herself in Vegas to announce that the “PARTY HAS NOW ARRIVED” I must have missed something b/c I don’t remember her being the party…or the life of the party at any time.

  8. Kelli Said,

Did anyone but me catch Jillian say to OHCH, “IF we do this”….referring to a wedding between she & Ed…that OHCH would have to make sure there was no rain in the forecast….or something like that….all I heard was her use the word “IF”….

  9. Kim Said,

When is OHCH going to become a justice of the peace so he can perform the Bach/Bachette weddings?

  10. Reader Said,

I actually really liked the special. I like Molly & Jason together. I did not like what Jason did to Melissa, but Melissa’s moved on and so can Molly & Jason. Congrats to the happy couple.

  11. Amy Said,

Hey Lincee! Thanks for the awesome recap. I spent a lot of the time thinking “Oh my gosh, insert sappy comment “. :) Just one thing, though, I think that Jillian dumped Jake and DDAHna dumped Jason, right? Can’t wait for next season’s recaps! :)

  12. Shameless Said,

I haven’t watched it yet but this recap actually made me excited to! I never read Lincee’s recaps before I watch the show, but made an exception for this because I don’t think the wedding episode really counts. It sounds kind of like a train wreck. Love it! Also love how quickly and eager people are to sell out there personal lives and biggest life moments for some TV face time and money.

  13. Ann Said,

How is it possible that ABC did not have a contingency rain plan to move things indoors?! All they would have had to do is go inside to the reception area – I have never seen such wind and rain. You literally could see rivers of water running off their shoulders. At a very minimum, the planners could have made the arbor/canopy thingy have a top on it. OR, some staff members could have run up on stage to hold an umbrella over the bride and groom. I kept waiting for one of the wedding guests to chivalrously donate his umbrella to the cause (but nooooo).

All I could think of was that designer dress getting soaked and Molly’s sprayed hair becoming a gelatinous, gluey mess, sort of like dreadlocks that someone hasn’t let down in 5 years. I bet it was three days before she could get a comb through it. And then they had to go inside to their air conditioned reception while they were soaking wet. Hope someone broke out the blow-dryers.

And I guess it is a contractual thing that Molly and Jason had to include all of those ex-bachelors and bachelorettes, but how sad that they either have so few friends that the “exes” were all that could come to swell the crowd, OR that the bride and groom had to exclude real friends to accommodate the ABC-bound people.

This was nothing like the Trista and Ryan extravaganza a few years ago. Instead of mountains of pink and million-dollar diamond shoes, Molly got rain and wind. I guess the economy really HAS taken its toll on the show. (We should have known that when we got the RV trip instead of the trips to Europe this season.)

Lincee, I will suffer withdrawal from your recaps. Can we possibly persuade you to blog about DWTS?

  14. Dave/Ben Said,

It’s like raaaaaaaaiiiiiiiin on your wedding day. It’s a free ride, when you’re already late… (neither of these things are “ironic”, by the way)

Anyway – I didn’t watch this. I have a 5 month old at home who lives in mortal fear of Ty “the bat child” Mesnik. I cannot risk my boy’s night of sleep to watch J cry. Poor fella. Plus, despite being the “wedding I’ve been waiting for”, the English Patient was on AMC. Man, I CANNOT miss plot and character development like that for some silly wedding. Lastly, Trista’s laught makes my weenie dog howl.

I do like the Lincee quiz take on this wedding. She should marry a really great guy. I will honestly stop at nothing to find a man to treat her right. She just needs to move to KC. I have no hook-ups in the deep south.

  15. SGT Cole Said,

I decided to use Lincee’s blog to announce my engagement to Lady Gaga.

  16. BigRed62 Said,

You can tell Molly is not a mother. Everyone knows you don’t eat raw brownie batter because it has raw eggs in it. Trying to poison the kid??

Did anyone else notice that 75% of the time when they were interviewing Molly, as she is talking, her head was shaking back and forth as if she were saying ‘no no no’?? Really got on my nerves once I noticed it.

And I loved Molly’s comment about how she was ready to get away from the stress of wedding planning. Excuse me?? Everything was DONE for you woman!! What stress?? You don’t KNOW stress.

  17. BigRed62 Said,

SGT Cole…you can do WAY better than that sweetie!!!

  18. Sara Said,

Absolutely love this line! One of my top 10 IHGB lines!
“Her outfit was sponsored by the letter Q and the number 7.”
On the upside at least for now ABC can now give Trista & Ryan a rest every time someone needs to be counseled about the “process’ and a “successful marriage”. Thanks for another season Lincee, I truly keep watching the show because the recaps are just too good! I’ve been reading since the days of the email distribution list & I’m happy you have continued the fun!!

Oh my gravy! I can’t wait to hear all about meeting Cord McCoy – this team is my fav!

  19. Molly Said,

Yet again…everyone is so negative! I thought the wedding was great and that Molly & Jason seemed very happy. How can you possibly say “I give it 2 years” or “I give it less than 5″ – come on guys, can’t you just let a couple be happy and stop on all the nay-saying?! Wow. I loved their first dance – it was very romantic. I also loved Jason Castro’s songs – he did an amazing job as well! When they are together 15 years down the road with kids then I hope all of you are ashamed for being so rude. So what if ABC/Macy’s/whoever paid for their entire wedding – I would’ve loved to have someone pay for my wedding, too. Good for them! And as for Jillian saying IF we do this…she meant IF they have a big wedding paid by ABC, not IF they are going to get married….again, negative. The readers of this blog are too much that way – congrats to the happy couple and I wish you ALL the best! And no, I’m not “The Molly!”

  20. Jenny Said,

I agree that the weird combo of former bachelors and bachelorettes in attendance was totally awkward, and OHCH interviewing them one after the other was comical. I’m happy for Jason and Molly and actually really liked the wedding. As for Jake and Vienna…I had to fast forward their clip. I wish them the best, but I’ve reached my limit hearing about their crazy love for each other.

  21. laura Said,

#16, lighten up. “Everyone” who doesn’t let their kid have a bit of brownie batter from time to time is way too uptight.

  22. Sarah. Said,

I thought the wedding was great- despite the rain. And I thought J&M had a great attitude toward the entire thing. I hope it lasts- I wish them all the best.
Also, they would be crazy not to take the offer of a free wedding- dresses- honeymoon- vacations for their wedding party. That has nothing to do with their love for each other- just an added bonus.

  23. Molly Said,

Woo hoo – I’ glad to see Jenny & Sarah agree with me! Finally, someone who doesn’t want to just stain Jason, Molly & their wedding.

  24. Michelle Said,

“Her outfit was sponsored by the letter Q and the number 7.”

This almost made me pee my pants. Thanks Lyncee for making my Tuesday…and don’t forget to ask the cowboys what we talked about. (I’m the one that emailed you to ask if they were interested in being the next Bachelor). Hell, skip the bachelor and ask him out yourself!!!

  25. gypsybootz Said,

Big Red — I noticed the same things that you did. Raw brownie dough? Really? And the way she shakes her head like she is saying “no” — no matter what she is saying — was really distracting. However, I could have sworn that her mother did the same thing once..

Oh well, I wish them the best, and whether or not I am fond of either one of them doesn’t really matter.

  26. tiffers Said,

I thought it was a beautiful wedding–even in the rain. Did anyone notice that Nikki from Jason’s season was sitting with Kypton? They even shared an umbrella when it started raining!

  27. LA Chick Said,

As someone who lives in CA I can say that rain near LA is usually rare, except for this year when we’ve had a ton or rain and wind. I would guess that they didn’t have rain contingency plans because 9 times out of 10 you don’t need them. Ooops on their part. I hope they are happy and find love in their lives. Lincee, love the recap!!! Makes my week to read them!

  28. PetEKaren Said,

Lincee, you freaking rock! This was awesome!

  29. old fan Said,

we have always been big fans of raw cookie and brownie batter at my house

  30. Megan Said,

You missed that kipton was sitting at the table at the reception with Ed and Jill

  31. Darryl Said,

Deahnna must be pissed to see all the money throwed at Jason + Molley. That could have been her if she hadn’t decided on picking Jesse. I think Jesse couldn’t handle her moaning “Oh Graaahm” during their tender moments………

  32. Megan C. Said,

I love brownie mix. Get your panties out of a wad.
Molly was shaking her head no alot when she was talking about how much she loves Jason and how he still gives her butterflies. Subliminal messages anyone?
And you made a mistake (I forgive you) Deanna was the one that dumped Jason. Awkward….

  33. Stacy Said,

I like Charlie and Sarah. They’re my favs.

Did anyone notice how tiny Deanna was!?! She was so slender with an itty bitty waist!

  34. Debbie Said,

SGT Cole, has it actually been determined that “Lady” Gaga is in fact female? Sorry, just had to throw that out there…you’re such a cutie. I think you can do much better.

  35. ColoradoMan Said,

Wow, my mother is a fake she allowed me to eat brownie batter and cookie dough all the time!!!! I think only paranoid moms don’t allow their child a finger tip of brownie mix, real moms do. The thing that got on my nerves last night was everytime there was an interview with Jillian she was talking about making babies?? What gives, I thought if I heard the phrase “and then have babies” one more time I was going to puke. Yeah that is great and all but the sound of it makes you sound like a complete idiot woman. Besides that I felt a litle sorry for them due to all the rain and I thought the music was nice – suprised by her pick for walking down the isle.

  36. JJ Said,

Loved it Lincee!!! But you HAVE to add one more answer to the question “Which was your favorite location in which Jason began to cry” = E: In the grooms waiting room pre-ceremony, he almost lost it when he was reading the note from Molly stuck to his boutonniere that said that “he gives her butterflys”, (which she had already told him the night before and I believe that same phrase was used in her vows and post wedding). Seriously, he needs to get those tear ducts under control ;)

  37. Heather Said,

Awesome quiz Lincee! No mention of Kiptyn (and his abs) being there though! Clearly one of the contractual obligations of having ABC pay for the wedding was that ABC could invite any past Bachelor/Bachelorette they wanted. What a random group of people. Can’t wait for next week’s “insider look” at the Bachelor. If only Lincee could co-host that with Hare!

  38. JennX Said,

    b. Jill is happy that their potential wedding location has a lake…or an ocean…nearby.

Hilarious!! That line totally cracked me up.

I loved when OHCH interviewed the wedding planner and she seemed really pissed about the weather situation and said how if she had anything to do with it they’d be inside and warm right now. Clearly ABC wanted an outdoor wedding at any cost. To their credit, I thought Jason and Molly handled it really well and had the right attitude about the torrential downpour. I’m not a huge fan of either of them, but I liked that they both laughed it off at the end. As someone in the throes of planning an outdoor wedding, this IS my biggest fear, but I am smart enough to have a Plan B location for the ceremony.

  39. Kyli Said,

Did anyone else notice that when Jason was talking about how “Molly is all the things I’m not…” one of the things he mentioned was “she’s strong!!”

  40. Susie Said,

Although I didnt like Jason as the Bachelor and wasnt a fan of Molly (or Melissa), I actually enjoyed watching the wedding. I thought it was much more “authentic” then Trista and Ryan’s (all that pink was ridiculous and over the top). Speaking of Trista and Ryan, her baby voice and annoying laugh are still annoying!! But they do seem happy and very much together and I wish the same for Molly and Jason. I thought Charlie and Sarah were the cutest and most real couple of any season so far and I wish they would get married but after 5(?) years, I guess I’m not holding my breath. She must be very patient. Molly looked gorgeous in her Monique Lhullier dress and loved the shoes! But it was ridiculous that they didnt move the ceremony inside when the weather became an issue, even though Molly and Jason were incredibly good natured about it. I’ve seen more then enough of Deanna and cant stand the site of Jake and Vienna. They are so unclassy; they must think they have to prove their “love” by being all over each other every time the camera shows them. Yuck! They are the most immature trashy couple the show has ever produced. All I can think of is “get a room” every time they show a clip of them making out. Thanks for the recap Lincee!

  41. Carrie Said,

LOVE the Letter Q – Number 7 line! Best line of the recap. Totally threw up in my mouth during the Lady and the Tramp moment between J and V. And her voice is like nails on a chalkboard.

I think Lincee is obligated to blog during DWTS since Jake is a contestant. I’m just sayin’…..

  42. yup Said,

Defending the person that says eating raw brownie batter is bad. Just sayin’. We don’t do that at our house either. This mom taught her kids NOT to eat it. :)

  43. baseballmama Said,

I stopped watching after the 10th time of being told how hard a year it had been. I felt like they were trying to guilt the viewing audience into feeling bad for not liking them. And just who were they talking when they said millions were anticipating the wedding. Really? did that many people really care?
my husband and boys have always prefered the cookie dough to the baked cookies. And Im pretty sure I would be considered an overprotective mother, but some things are just too good not to take a little risk.

  44. Forever Young Said,

I wholeheatedly agree. Best Lincee line of ALL TIME! “Single Mom Stephanie… pink fur. Her outfit was sponsored by the letter Q and the number 7.”

I’ll have to admit I must be a romantic because I am actually rooting for Jason and Molly to make it. I never really liked her when the show as on but she seemed a little more real last night. I just keep reminding myself that what we see is what ABC decides for us to see.

  45. ILoveGreenBeans Said,

#3 Heidi, I follow a lot of these people on twitter and they really ARE like their own little family. I believe Tenley made a comment on twitter about how happy she was to join their little family! Jake and Vienna are now on twitter, as well as Kiptyn, Ed, Jillian, Jason, Trista, Ryan, Graham, Melissa, Deanna, Mike & Stephen Stagliano, Jesse, Gia, Valisha, Corrie, and others. Valisha and Corrie are already working with Kiptyn on a charity project. It’s interesting to see what they are doing in their everyday lives — although their lives are still nothing like normal!! (I think I may have posted this same info a couple of posts ago, but it was at the very end of comments and I wanted to make sure you guys know about them being on twitter….it’s actually very fun!!) :-) That’s where I got the info that Deanna had flown to Texas to film her 20/20 segment with HTC Brad!!!

  46. Jamie Said,

Lincee, is Molly really our sister in the wine and silver blue? I had no idea…

  47. Chickpea Said,

OMG OMG OMG! Lincee, I always laugh but this is my first time spitting on the screen!!! Absolutely fantastic!!!!!!!!!!!

    Favorites:
“A nameless dude toasting Jason: “Of all the women Jason has proposed to, Molly is the best.” ”
“Instead of a wedding song by Gavin DeGraw, you thought Melissa Rycroft was going to pop out of the cake.”

Oh dear, I am still crying with laughter… maybe I’m in that kinda mood, but this was REALLY good. Cheers!!! :)

  48. Anne Said,

I was more impressed with Jason and Molly as a couple then I ever was during the filming of their season. I thought their wedding was beautiful, despite the torrential rain storm and why not have ABC pay for it; afterall they were filmed on the Bachelor! I doubt too many people would turn down the chance to have a gorgeous wedding paid for if they had the same opportunity. They seemed genuinely in love and happy and did go thru alot of negative publicity about their relationship. Trista and Ryan seem to be very happy but she was looking rather matronly last night with the ugly dress and hair in a ponytail. Her voice still is very hard to listen to. As for Jake and Vienna, would everyone please NOT vote for Jake on DWTS!! I cant stand to see anymore of those two! They are the WORST couple that the Bachelor has ever produced and it is disgusting to have to continually see clips of them and their amazing sexual connection! They’re gross!

  49. Chickpea Said,

p.s. to all those anti-brownie batter people (geeeez!)…

    1. Been eating raw brownie batter myself for over 30 years, never been ill from it for one minute (oh and choc chip cookie raw dough too!)
    2. If it’s a mix then it doesn’t have raw eggs anyway! Doh.

Send me your brownie batter bowls, I’ll happily clean ‘em up! :) LOL!

  50. Katie Said,

Lincee, Are you going to blog about Jillian Harris being on Extreme Home Makeover this Sunday? I dont think anyone mentioned that in above comments. As for brownie batter, I’ve been known to make brownies just to lick the batter and have done so for many years and never been sick so far!! Finally, I agree with the comments about Jake and Vienna…they’ve both obviously confused lust for love and are embarrassing to watch and listen to. I hope their 15minutes of fame are over soon because I’ve seen more then enough already!

  51. Pulled A Mesnick Said,

What’s funny is that on Jimmy Kimmel, when Jimmy starts making fun of Jason’s constant crying, Molly jumps to his defense stating that the only time she has seen Jason cry was at the altar. LOL How is that all of America has seen this man cry way more than his new wife?

  52. Kate Said,

The real constant crier is that Jimmy Kimmel…

  53. HC Said,

AMEN Chickpea and Katie!!!! People need to lighten up!! I feel sorry for kids that are deprived of a brownie batter bowl!! I couldn’t wait to lick the spoon and the bowl….still can’t!!

  54. Maggie Said,

    1. Did anyone else see Kyptinite & Nikki under one umbrella at the wedding?
    2. Why would ABC edit Jason Castro to make it seem like he was singing the song wrong? Or did he?
    3. I liked that they included a clip of Mikey Mike’s brother entertaining Stagliano-style.
    4. “Because ABC paid for the whole thing!” Amen.
    5. Loved the “Arbor” theme of the ceremony and reception decorations. Intern can add “Birch Branch Collector” to his resume.
    6. Jillian upon entering the reception: “It’s so beautiful in here, eh?”

  55. el erin-o Said,

I think you should put up some new pics of sgt cole! YUMMMMMMMY!

  56. Melanna Said,

Maggie, re: your number 2 question. He wasn’t edited as singing the song wrong. He was singing the Hawaiian guy’s (can’t think of his name…) version that is actually sung that way.
And yes, saw Kip and Nikki and went “hmmm”

  57. Katie Said,

The thought did cross my mind that the surprise was Melissa jumping out of the cake. Now that would have been the most dramatic rose ceremony yet.

  58. Stella Said,

I liked their wedding! They werent my favorite couple but they appeared happy and sincere. Molly was a beautiful bride. I wish them the best and I think they will do well together. It was so nice to see Charlie and Sarah…hope to hear they’re the next couple to tie the knot! They’re love story also seemed real to me but it’s been a long time since they finished Charlie’s season and still no engagement so maybe there are some reasons that they arent ready to take the next step. Worst couple ever: Vienna and Jake, hands down. The more I see of them, the lower my opinion is of them. So fake and both looking for fame and celebrity, not a lasting relationship. I really wanted Jake to pick Tenley but now am so glad he didnt. She is lucky not to be with such a loser! He and trailer trash Vienna deserve each other!

  59. Summer Said,

Oh. My. Gosh! Just found your website…..

    IN LOVE!!!

Having such a blast reading everything!!!

  60. Austin-ite Said,

‘Single Mom Stephanie…who was let go by Jason…is wearing the latest fashion forward style – pink fur. Her outfit was sponsored by the letter Q and the number 7.’

Loved it, Lincee. As soon as I saw her I thought, ‘bless her heart, she is wearing another Fraggle Rock outfit!’

  61. Shopgirl Said,

#58 Stella – I heard that Charlie had been through rehab during the time that he and Sarah were apart for that year, so I can totally understand the long, slow approach. Really like them as individuals and as a couple. Hope they make it.

Hope Jason and Molly make it, too. They seemed really happy and in love. They surely took the rain storm in stride.

And Jason Castro totally butchered the lyrics to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow.”

  62. Lori H Said,

Thought “Fraggle” Stephanie looked REALLY old (or maybe it was just after she got hit wtih a bucket of rain and looked like a drowned rat).

Love the Iz version of “Over the Rainbow” – which also has a little blip in the lyrics…that made me cry – my EX-daughter-in-law wanted that played when her bridesmaids walked down the aisle (and it had been raining all day, and the sun came out just before they did)…anyhooo – I’m still sad that it didn’t last – let’s hope M&J stay together!

I’ll be thinking of you this weekend, Lincee – go get ‘em!!!

  63. Joy Said,

OMG…. Lincee you out did yourself with this quiz. Way to sum up the ridiculous wedding in the best way. I say ridiculous only because I felt like they were practically making fun of themselves the entire time… like it was a satire of what the bachelor wedding would be. It was just so bizarre… and all the random Bachelor/Bachelorette people! So strange.

I was truly laughing out loud at your six degrees of separation… especially this gem: d. Single Mom Stephanie…who was let go by Jason…is wearing the latest fashion forward style – pink fur. Her outfit was sponsored by the letter Q and the number 7.

  64. Joy Said,

#27… yes, rain is RARE. But that storm was in the forecast for days. The planners saw it coming enough to have dozens of clear umbrellas… but they couldn’t offer any cover to the bride & groom? I found that a little strange. Although, bravo to Molly & Jason for being so cheerful about it.

  65. MaryJo Said,

Loved the wedding! It was beautiful and so was Molly. She chose not to let the rain storm ruin her wedding day and I give her alot of credit for that; it shows alot about how she will handle adversity in her life. I didnt like Jason as the Bachelor and wasnt that interested in his relationship with Molly or Melissa for that matter, but I felt they were genuine and serious about taking the step towards marriage and will have as good of a chance at succeeding as anyone else. I wish them only the best.
I dont understand all the mean comments about Stephanie. She was a classy lady; something you dont often see on the Bachelor.
Agree with those who love Sarah and Charlie….they’re adorable together! I loved the season that he was the Bachelor!
So sick of Deanna…does she even have a job???
Finally, last and least!…Jake and Vienna…a huge thumbs down for this couple. I cant stand either of them! Vienna is so low-class and skanky. And Jake is right there with her. His parents must cringe every time it shows a clip of them falling all over each other. They’re just gross. I hope he’s booted off DWTS first so I can enjoy the show without seeing Jake and Vienna soaking up more attention in their 15 minutes of fame.

  66. Tricia Said,

Personally, I thought the rainstorm was a perfect ending to this wedding.
Especially after what Jason did to Melissa on national television. You reap what you sow. The only
reason I watched it was to see Jason Castro.
    Love your reviews Lincee!

  67. My Awesomeness Said,

My 10 year old son was with me at the grocery store. On the rack at check out was a magazine with Jake on the cover saying “i didn’t make a mistake”. My son who has only seen a little of this show, he goes to bed early…says, “Look it’s Jake. Mom, I think he made a mistake.” lol

  68. My Awesomeness Said,

I could not bring myself to watch the Jason Molly wedding. Loved the recap though! I saw a few pictures and Molly’s dress was very pretty. I could see having the guests sit through a few sprinkles, but it sounds like they had a downpour! ABC should have sprung for an indoor venue.

  69. Tracy Said,

I too have eaten my fair share of brownie mix and cookie dough…and I let my kids eat it too. No big deal. We are all healthy! I haven’t watched the wedding, don’t know if I will. Love reading all the comments though. I can’t believe that there were so many former “contestants” at the wedding?? I guess they are obligated to invite anyone who has ever been a part of the show?? I wouldn’t have liked to see people I don’t even know at MY wedding. I guess they needed some audience filler.

I did see the pictures in People and I will say that I loved Molly’s dress.

  70. Lauren Said,

“Single Mom Stephanie…who was let go by Jason…is wearing the latest fashion forward style – pink fur. Her outfit was sponsored by the letter Q and the number 7.”

Right on, girl!! Lincee… you rock! seriously… when I looked at Stephanie and saw what she was wearing, the first thought in my head was, “Woah…who invited the Muppet?!?”

  71. Conundrum Said,

I’m of the mind that the rain was totally a fodder to make the show more dramatic. That and the constant foreshadowing of the “uninvited guests.” Lame to the max. And yes, my family are batter-eaters.

  72. True Said,

Am I the only one who threw up in my mouth about 4 times during the Jake/Vienna montage? Seriously…gross! My mother, who happened to be in town to watch with me, said…”That Jake seems like someone who didn’t have any guy friends. Where are his fraternity brothers who would tell him that Vienna is a short-timer?”

    HAHAHAHAHA!!! Love my mom.

  73. Mel Said,

I think it was GREAT that M&J really seemed to take the rain in stride…Some brides would have FLIPPED out. I enjoyed watching them and I think it would have been weird if some of the former Bach/Bachettes weren’t at the wedding – then we would’ve all wondered why they weren’t there.

Okay – as a Mom of 3 Great kids….the brownie batter didn’t bother me – My kids can have brownie batter, choc cookie dough, cake batter – I don’t care…it’s called being a kid. The eating the batter didn’t bother me – the sticking his finger on the spoon and the spoon going back in the batter – THAT BOTHERED ME! I love my kids but they gotta all have their own spoon and there is no double dipping or sticking fingers in the batter!

    Great job Lincee!

  74. Gavin Degraw Follow Through Lyrics Said,

[...] Gavin Degraw – Follow Through Lyrics, Video | Spotthisnow. Follow Through Song Lyrics and video. Oh, this is the start of something good. Dont you agree? I havent felt like this in so many moons. You know what I mean? ABC And Macys Com Would Like To Introduce Mr And Mrs Jason [...]

  75. AggieFan Said,

Sgt. Cole!!!! GROSS!!! You are WAY too hot, WAY too young, and WAY too cool for Lady Gaga! Have you looked her up on youtube? She’s very plain looking (nothing wrong with that), but has a great voice when she actually sings…..but her choice in the direction in which her career has taken her definitely does her voice no justice. But again, NOOOOOOOO, you are too yummy for her…..

  76. Shameless Said,

Deanna is the phoniest phony who ever phonied. She is such a joke. I wish she could just be real and not so processed/packaged/fake for once.

I still love Jillian, I admit it. But the whole thing with Ed still seems off to me. I actually forgot they were engaged. The whole time they were talking about wedding planning, I was confused and a little uncomfortable.

I didn’t even watch his season, but Charlie and Sarah are my favorites too. They actually seem real to me. Loved that moment when he said they were ready to look for a house and she refused to move in without an engagement. lol!

The worst, most pathetic moment of the whole show was when Molly “spontaneously” walked in on her sister/friend browsing the Macy’s mix ‘n match website. For reals, guys?? That was the worst, clumsiest, most obvious and awkward advertising scene ever. Made me never want to shop in a Macy’s again.

Besides that, as I watched, I kept thinking of all the free stuff they must have gotten. Do you think the girls were all flown in to Vegas for the bachelorette party? At the least, I’m sure their rooms/meals/drinks were comped. The whole thing made me think that maybe even I would sell out for something like this, lol. You could just tell that all the friends and family were so stoked by the stuff they were able to get and things they could do because of the ABC-sponsored wedding.

I still wouldn’t shill for Macy’s like that, though, even if they did comp my whole “perfect and easy” wedding day outfit!

  77. Magda Said,

Please PLEASE blog about the upcoming DWTS! There is SO much there to have fun with!

  78. saggleo Said,

#76 Shameless….I agree about Macy’s online shopping scene. That’s all I pretty much remember b/c I clicked on the show at about the beginning of the second hour or something and then I quickly passed out. LOL But that scene was so forced it was super annoying!

My mom is an awesome baker and I can remember begging…to lick the mixer (old school handheld) spoons when she was done…mostly w/ a chocolate cake,, but I’ve licked the vanilla batter a time or two or more as a kid. That was always the best part! And I turned out FANTASTIC if I do say so myself! :-) Not to mean any offense to moms who don’t give their kids batter…I’m just giving my batter two cents. :-)

  79. BLS Said,

Two thumbs for all forms of batter, dough and other raw baked items! yum…. I’ve been eating that stuff all my life and I’m alive to tell the tale at 40+… life’s too short not to enjoy

  80. Katie M Said,

It seemed like at one point the wedding planner was mad that there was no contingency plan for an indoor wedding. It sounded to me like that decision was out of her control. I thought the Jason and Molly handled it so well. I did not think they would make it to the alter. I hope they are happy.
I too have been eating batter since I was a kid. I almost like the batter better than the cookies or brownies. I did discourage my kids from eating it but it just meant there was more for me. :)
I told my husband about the six degrees of separation thing. His eyes glazed over as I was talking. To me that was the best part of the evening.

  81. Ginny Said,

Hi Lincee, Love your blog! First time commenting! I loved the wedding but could only imagine if I was a guest, let alone the bride, to have my dress, shoes, hair etc soaked! ABC should definitely have moved it inside. It was a gorgeous wedding that I think any couple would love to have had, and paid for by ABC. Why not? Even celebs get free stuff all the time and take advantage of whatever is given to them. I believe that Molly and Jason are the real deal. He’s been divorced once and knows the pain and heartbreak of that and would want to make sure he got it right this time. Molly was way more likeable and natural in front of the camera then I remembered. I think she looked beautiful.
I’m also a huge fan of Charlie and Sarah….there isnt much news about them so I didnt know if they were still together. Would love to see their wedding.
Deanna? Not so much! She’s such a media hog that I think she and Jake should get together, after Vienna steals all his money and cheats on him!
Vienna and Jake: ditto #72: they make me SICK!! Such an unattractive, annoying pair!
Cake/cookie/brownie batter: Love it!! Better then the finished product!

  82. Alexis Said,

Oh.My.Gah. Favorite line: Her outfit was sponsored by the letter Q and the number 7.

  83. KellyWins Said,

How has no one mentioned this yet when Molly was talking about their rough year:

“We’ve been through more in 1 year than most people ever will in their lifetime.” -Molly

Um, sweety? Some bad press & people talking nasty about you doesn’t even compare to what some go through. Get a reality check.

  84. BA Said,

    BEST LINES EVER:

Seriously, from time to time, I consider not watching the show anymore. And then I realize I must keep watching, so I can keep reading you, Lincee. You are the BEST! Thank you!

  85. Susan Said,

    Baking Tip:

How to eat raw brownie/cake batter and cookie dough without having to worry about salmonella or god knows what else — instead of using eggs, use Egg Beaters. 1/4 cup of Egg Beaters = 1 egg. There is absoluteley no difference in taste, texture, or anything else. And since Egg Beaters are pasterurized egg, salmonella and other gross organisms are ot a problem.

  86. Allison Said,

Unfortunately with the amount of set-up they had there was no way to move that wedding indoors. They would have had to make that call the day before and maybe there was a chance it would be snny so they took the risk? Plus it was so much prettier outdoors than it would have been indoors. Although I’m sure the designer would have done a bang up job re-doing a hotel ballroom into a garden of eden but it just wouldn’t have had the same feel. With such a production like that it would have been near impossible to move it. I loved that Jason and Molly just went with it though. She didn’t flip, didn’t even look for an umbrella. That was great!

  87. boooovienna Said,

They were probably concerned that with umbrellas/covering that pictures wouldn’t have been as good. I’m glad they didn’t let it dampen (haha) the mood for the day, but that planner sure was peeved.

  88. Lyndsee Said,

    So funny, Lincee!

    A few thoughts:

The whole spectacle was quite entertaining, mainly due to the fact that Chris kept stating the fact that the wedding was going to be outside NO MATTER WHAT. Why was that anyways? I mean, what would have been the big deal to move it inside? ABC can spend millions on a wedding but can’t book a Plan B? Strange.

Also, I found the cameos from the jaded Bachelors/Bach-ettes to be quite awkward. I mean, I sure as hell wouldn’t want my ex(s) at my wedding, would you? AWKWARD! Stephanie? Why the crap was she there, in her pink fur boa, no less?

And Deanna – I just don’t like her. She is clinging onto her 15 minutes of fame, yes? How totally random that she is now dating Mike’s twin brother?

And about the actually wedding, I actually like Jason and Molly and I hope that they work out. They both seem to have supportive families and I thought it was great that they didn’t put Ty on TV anymore… poor kid needs to stay off of the cameras! I do think that the wedding was just a chance for ABC to gain ratings = $$ but at the same time, Molly got to be in the hurricane… err… wedding… of her dreams and marry her true love. Or so Chris says.

  89. Lyndsee Said,

Ooops, apparently Ty WAS in some of the clips… I must have missed them?

  90. Anna Said,

Jake and Vienna at the Mavericks last night. See, this love is for reals! [vomit break]
    http://frontburner.dmagazine.com/2010/03/11/jake-and-vienna-take-in-a-mavs-game/

  91. Patsy from TX Said,

Had a real tough time listening to the repetitive, “can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with Jason”. Ugh.

Loved the dress. Spectacular. Probably mucho expensive … thank you Monique!

Have to give the happy couple props for giggling thru the rain storm and was amazed Molly (ABC) didn’t waste any time having Ken Pave’ (!) redo the mess that was her hair.

The wedding planner sadly forgot to have someone fill the glass vases that lined the aisle … couldn’t we have some flowers to fancy up the affair? How about gold fish?

And couldn’t someone jump forward with one of the pretty see-thru umbrellas (Macy’s) and cover the happy couple? There were a lot of former camera hogs there who could have jumped off their coffin and saved the day … can you say DeAhnah?

Gearing up for Ali’s season…another ugh. Maybe the theme song for her can be from “Ghost” in honor of her Grandma.

  92. boooovienna Said,

hahahahaha, gold fish, I love it!

  93. Allison Said,

My daughter was watching it with me and everytime Molly said how much she loves Jason and wants to be with him dd would reply, “we know Molly, we know!” Mind you she’s 8. Even she was over it. LOL!

  94. Megan Said,

    NEWS FLASH:

Per Jake’s bio, he’s tried acting in the past and played a young Chuck Norris on Walker, Texas Ranger. How did I just now find this out? I need see this. It has got to be cheese-tastic.

    http://www.jake-pavelka.com/aboutjake.html

  95. Ashley Said,

Did anyone else find it odd how many times Jason and Molly both referred to each other as their bestfriends??

Wasn’t that a big deal during Jason’s season– I remember him calling Jillian down because she said, “I want to marry my best friend.” I vaguely remember him saying, “I’ve already married my best friend and that’s not what makes a marriage last.” Am I remembering wrong? Could’ve sworn he said something along the lines of, “marrying your best friend isn’t what makes a marriage last.” Hmmmmmmm…

Loved the wedding and the rain. I think that fact that there was no contingency plan is touching. They can love each other in the sunshine or the rainstorm. That’s life, folks. :-)

  96. Julie Said,

Guess I’m not a real mom either…I always let my son lick the beaters when we made brownies. If grown men can drink raw eggs for protein, my kid can have a bite in some batter without children’s services being called!

I thought the wedding was nice. Hated that it stormed so badly for them, I don’t want to see that happen to any bride on her wedding day.

  97. miss esther Said,

LOLs your blog is a riot. I love your quiz highlighting the best moments of the wedding special-clever!
p.s. also like the nickname for chris harrison-the hare suits him perfectly.

  98. Def-P Said,

If only… Melissa Rycroft had come out while they were slowly dancing to the Gavin Degraw song and danced circles around them… dancing with the stars style… in some slinky outfit… THAT would have been good TV.

  99. LJ2B Said,

Ok…FINALLY got around to watching the wedding yesterday. I can’t believe ABC didn’t have a back-up plan for rain!! Felt bad for Molly when it started to downpour on them. Nobody wants to look like a drowned rat on their wedding day….especially when it is being broadcasted to millions of people on tv.

Although having an actual rainbow overhead as you walk down the aisle to “Somewhere Over the Rainbow” is kinda awesome!
