Bachelor Recap: Episode 9

I’m still processing through last night. I keep telling myself that “eet’s okay.” The recap will be up later this afternoon.

If you need something to do until then, watch this clip of Hall of Famer Paul Rudd and my current celebrity crush Jimmy Fallon!

What was that tat on Nikki’s back – kinda close to her right arm? Marijuana leaf?

Looking forward to the recap!

Was chatting with a few people last night who were critizing Andi for not just letting it go and dragging the conversation out, but I could feel her pain. She had just given up a lot of her life to try this show out, and to make it to being one episode away from a potential proposal, I would have hoped for a different response from Juan that ‘it’s ok’. That would have felt a lot more like a slap in the face than anything! Especially the way he had previously cried to them about the others leaving…

just my two cents worth…. I’m sure he was trying to save face as well, but his response didn’t validate her experience at all by responding the way he did.

Has in the past there been video messages for the bach/bach’ette prior to a rose ceremony? I can’t recall if that has happened before.

@hollygolightly – I think Nikki’s tat is an outline of a flying bird – that’s what it looked like to me anyway! 🙂

Okay ladies, my hunch is that he doesn’t pick either gal left. We have seen no previews of the Bachelor in front of water/trees/pool/island/whatever with one rose left (as they have in NUMEROUS years past). I bet you any money he pulls a Brad Womack and walks away from both of them. I’m glad Andi pulled out…she deserves much better. They certainly dragged out last night’s episode…sort of a waste of my time actually. Very disappointed.

I felt like Andi was kind of mean to him. He tried to explain the language barrier and she just refused to let it go. I think he handled it in a very mature way and she was wanting him to fall apart. I mean he does have 2 other girls left and he seems to have a strong connection with them all. If she wanted him to know all those things about herself, she should have told him (like he said). I really like JP and hope that he does decide to walk away from the final two…they are just crazy and immature. I hope neither of them will be our next Bachelorette.

Irishwind- The final 3 always do a video message. They’re usually saying things like, “I’ve fallen in love with you,” and “I can’t wait for the rest of our adventure to begin.”… it’s not usually, “We need to talk.”

Lincee- you’re not the only one with a crush on Jimmy Fallon. I hope you enjoy this little story about my little sister.

I am really proud of Andi.

Here is what I have been thinking this entire series….JP is a total horn-dog and has been waiting for the “overnight, fantasy suite” time. Wanting the sanctioned and totally accepted go-ahead to have sex with 3 different women in 3 nights (where else but the bachelor is that gonna be made possible and not get you a hearty face slap from at least 2 of the women)?

If we are to believe Andi- and I see no reason not to. Anytime she tried to ask an actual question he might have to answer- he answered her with “besitos” instead of words, interrupted anything she wanted to say with his OWN story (I have met way more of these types than I like *sigh).

It is pretty clear form her anger and her arguing (and yes- she should have let it GO much sooner as he is never going to “get it” ) that she might have been the only one of the 3 who was in this for reals. Wanting to know about how to raise kids, political views, religious beliefs, how do we handle money…etc…these are all very legitimate questions that you need to have a handle on BEFORE you propose- or accept said proposal….and if the other party does not think they are important- then you need to get out. She did- good for her!.

I am with the rest of the people who think he will “Womak” and not choose- for he has fulfilled his own sad fantasy of 3 chicks….3 nights.. booo-ya.

But, I might be wrong- probably am. 😉 good luck to the uumm.. winner?

Cocoa I agree. I don’t think he has any intentions to get married. I would bet that was the problem between him and Carla. He’s a player for sure. I would agree. I would bet no “winner”.

Loved, loved, loved Paul Rudd. When you think about how much time he must have put into those songs (and dances) – unbelievable!!!!

The DA examined the evidence and decided to settle the case out of court.

Smart move. I don’t think DAndi was getting a rose anyway. To me, JP’s response indicated that he was not disappointed she was leaving. He is basically obligated to keep 3 people around for the “sleepover” dates even if he made up his mind weeks ago. The producers want the viewers to believe that he is struggling with the decision and is shocked that she left but he did not seem shocked to me.

Perhaps he didn’t ask DAndi about her political views and religion because her answers would not have changed his mind.

Ok, I can’t be the only one who thinks Clare looks like post-boob-job Jan Levinson from The Office.

That conversation was PAINFUL. Almost, almost as bad as Brooks’ conversation with Des. I was kind of exasperated with DAndi, since it was clear she could have gotten away cleanly, but I understood why she needed more than he was giving her. Clearly she was taking this seriously, and felt like he couldn’t have cared less.

I do have to say that I LOVED it when he asked her sarcastically, “What’s my religion?!?” and she answered right away, “Catholic.” That spiked his guns – he was toally non-plussed for a couple minutes! What a self involved idiot he is!

Did anyone else get the impression that JP REALLY wanted the last 3 women to tell him that they loved him? I noticed he asked them several times what they were thinking at the times where they were struggling with maybe telling him that they loved him. Yet he never gave me the impression that he wanted to know what they thought about things in general or in specifics.
