Bachelorette Ali: The Finale

Instead of pulling a Womack like so many of us predicted in the last post, Ali decided to pull a Frank.

I did not see that coming.

It was a much needed bit of drama during what will go down as the least dramatic rose ceremony in Bachelor history.  Kudos to ABC!

The recap will be up later this afternoon.  I have to go sell my Roberto rookie card to the highest bidder on EBAY and book my flight to Cape Cod.

This is your chance to be heard in the comment section.  Will they last?  Will Cape Cod be the new Bachelor?  Did you feel itchy just watching promos for The Bachelor Pad?

Be heard!  And I’ll be back soon!

I hope hope hope that CCC is not the new Bachelor. As much as I’d love to watch him for another season, he is way too good for this show!

I’m thinking if he was going to be, they would have announced it at the ATFR like they did with Ali (and Jake and Jillian too, right?)

Holy crap! Am I really first? Wow!

Okay, that was a pretty cool ending. I hope they do make it. They seem smitten, but we ALL know how that can go. *sigh*

I am glad that she let Chris go before the rose ceremony day. It just wasn’t fair to him to keep him hanging on like that, and I’m glad she did what she felt was best.

Can’t wait for your recap! At least CCC didn’t have to suffer through the agony of the final rose ceremony. He’s sure to be our next Bachelor!!

Okay, maybe not first. Oh, and as for Frank, what a wussie boy. I can’t believe he didn’t show up. He’s so wishy-washy. Ten to one he and Nicolle have already broken up.

Well, that was something! I did predict the dumping of CCC before the rose ceremony (I have text messages to prove it :), but I did not see the engagement with Robert-O. I thought for sure she’d say she needs more time.

However, after watching the most BORING AFTR in Bach/ette history, I really think these crazy kids have a shot!

ps, my husband walked in during the show and wanted to know what I was smiling at. Apparently I was unknowingly grinning ear to ear whenever Robert-O was on the screen. This whole time I thought I loved CCC best! Can’t wait for the recap, Lincee!

Someone has to comment Roberto’s non-stop sweating the whole time in the islands!!!! He’s hot and all, but WOW, every scene has his face dripping with sweat.

You know I figured that Ali would pick sweaty Roberto but I didn’t think he was into her. They really looked happy at ATFR. I found myself rooting for them. My heart goes out to Chris. He’s such a good guy but Ali did the right thing by not stringing him along.

I was pulling for CCC, but seeing Ali and Roberto together changed my mind. They both looked almost giddy together. I never thought that Roberto seemed to like her that much, but he seemed to change my mind last night. Maybe he isn’t the player I thought he might be. I hope CCC is the next Bachelor because he is funniest when he is talking to the camera! Lincee, this is your chance to hook up with CCC… sign up to be on the show!!! Can you imagine the “camera talk quotes” if Lincee would go on there?

How about that last song- Can You Feel the Love Tonight- in honor of their Broadway debut.

I didn’t think they could top the On the Wings of Love cheesiness. Well played, ABC, well played.

I just love Chris and have to respect Ali for letting him go the way she did. I also have to say thank God someone on this show finally knew for sure who they wanted to be with. Every other season the bachelor/bachelorette goes on and on about how they have no clue who they’re going to pick. I always think -if they’ve really met their true love or soulmate, it shouldn’t be that hard to choose, right? They should just know!- (I guess that’s why everyone breaks up 3 months after the show!) At least Ali knew what she wanted. Guess we’ll see what happens next!

Roberto getting the rose confirms my theory that whoever goes on the daring date (bungee jumping, tightrope walking, etc.) usually wins in the end. There’s something about being scared out of your mind that brings you together. Jake and Vienna bungee-jumping off the bridge sealed the deal just like Roberto and Ali on the tightrope. I can’t remember what Jillian and Ed or Jason and, I guess, Molly in his case, did on their first dates. Do you? Was it the scary one?

I remember that Ed and Jillian did something daring as well. Not sure about Molly.

I think there was another first last night- I’ve been watching for a long long long time and I don’t believe that the person who got the first impression rose has ever ended up F1 before! It really was love at first sight…..for all of us, I think and not just Ali! For me, I would have picked CCC, but it looks like Ali has totally picked the right guy for her.

Ali has impressed me more and more as the weeks have gone by – annoying laugh aside, she has been kind, honest, straightforward – remarkably free of game playing and really remarkably free of gratuitous groping of multiple guys. I think the lagoon in Iceland was the only “hot tub” scene all season. It was sort of an “adult” Bachelorette, and I liked it! I wish Ali & Roberto many years of happiness.

P.S. I don’t remember what Jason and Molly did for their first dates, but they totally bungee jumped in New Zealand.

Kwally – Roberto’s sweating is a bit off-putting!! But, in OHCH’s blog, he said it was 90 degrees with 90 percent humidity while they were there, so I would have been sweating too! Plus, OHCH said Roberto had partly fallen into the water when trying to jump off the boat right before the final ring ceremony, so he had soggy suit pants on top of the heat and long climb to the Proposal Precipice!
