Four Smiles and One Potential Hot Mess
Several things have brought a big smile to my face in the last few days, so I thought it was only fair that I spread the cheer. I’m pay it forward that way.
But I want you to leave this post on a positive note instead of rocking back and forth in the fetal position. Therefore, I will start with the hot mess. I need you to tell me how to feel about this situation. I can only come up with two words: hold me.
Seriously. Sometimes, there are no words.
And when that happens, it’s my job to distract you with fun, whimsical, random musings that fill my pretty little head. You’re welcome.
1. Hot Dude Camera Roll
At least once a week, I text my friend Amy a picture of a hot dude, just to make her day a little brighter. I was flipping through my iPhone photos and found myself giggling at the stream of good looking guys staring back at me. Here’s a small sampling of Amy’s phone suitors:
“Beckett has nothing on you.”
“See you at the show in November.”
“Okay, okay. I’ll hold a class to teach guys how to properly kiss a woman.”
“Admit it. I’m your favorite superhero because I have chest hair.”
2. Speaking of Hot Dudes…
My friend Emily sent me this picture.
Apparently there is an ENTIRE book featuring the Ryan Gosling “hey girl” meme. Oh you don’t know what that is? Welcome to class…
3. Unskinny Bop — NOT
I scored this CD for $4 at Wal-Mart a few days ago! The track list does NOT include “Unskinny Bop” or “Something to Believe In.” I guess that’s what you’re paying for when the CD touts 10 GREAT SONGS instead of greatest hits. If you want the entire list, you have to pony up a few more bucks. At least.
4. Choosing Baby Names

“What day is it? What. Day. Is. It?” Oh the Geico camel commercial makes me smile every Wednesday.
Hey Jen…It was my turn to wake up the kids for school and that is how we started the morning and it made me smile to see both my kids smiling and walking around the house quoting the camel commercial. I’m glad that I made their morning just a little happier.
Lincee…what has made me smile lately is the ride home from school listening to my kids share the exciting stuff going on in their lives. Those are the days I am glad I live 15 minutes from town and we are stuck together talking about our days. Wouldn’t trade it for the world! No music, no cranky momma, just the kids talking about the day. Makes my heart sing!

Thank you for this post. I really needed a little pick me up. I used to send a friend pictures of good looking men each week, but I did it on Tuesday, and we called it Tatsy Treat Tuesday.
Am I the only one that is looking forward to Harry as a judge on the next season on American Idol? I’m going to tune in every week just so I can look at that beautiful man.

Loved your list! I smiled big time when I saw that 1) Outlander was going to be a TV series on Starz (yes I missed the memo on this one!!) and 2) they’ve chosen the leads!!!! Hello Claire and Jamie! I can’t remember if you’ve read these books, but I know they were on the “list” at one time. You must do this if you haven’t!! Prior to the 2014 TV debut. I have to withhold judgment until it airs, but, holy space balls, that picture is just wrong. Too much make-up (or airbrush) for the dress. Maria is not glam. Not even a little.

My husband would leave me for Carrie Underwood and, as a rule, I like her and her music. But, I guarantee she is going to butcher the role of Maria Von Trap and The Sound of Music – my favorite movie ever!!! I will not be able to watch this, so I hope your expert blogging skills will sum it op for me on December 6th.
