Happy place

It is estimated that in Kigali, Rwanda’s capital, 7,000 children live on the streets. These children – mostly boys who are orphaned, poor or too old to return to school – go to the streets looking for food, for water, for a better life.

It’s no secret that I adore Africa New Life. (Remember how I always travel to Rwanda to check on these precious faces?) The organization has a program dedicated to a group of young men known as the Dream Boys. Through the program, these boys are tutored in reading, English, math and social studies. They also receive Biblical training.

This is a video that my friend Betty (who currently works as a missionary for Africa New Life) took of the young boys who just graduated from the program and are eligible for sponsorship. I dare you not to be infected by the sheer JOY from all involved.

If you are interested in sponsoring a Dream Boy, I would love to tell you more about the program and connect you with the right people. Or you can click HERE to see their sweet, hopeful faces!

That might be the sweetest video I’ve ever seen. Wow, such joy!
