It’s a sword
One of my goals in 2011 was to learn an artistic craft. Instead of monogramming, knitting or decoupage like the numerous talented women in my life, I chose balloon art.
I’m working hard on twisting various colorful animals, but I have mastered the flower, hat and sword. In fact, I’m going to see if I can work my first gig at my church’s fall festival.
I practiced my mad skills on my adolescent relative this past 4th of July. Although all were amazed and loved playing pirate, my sister suggested I work on my presentation and timing. My Dad had a different comment. Regarding my sword design…
Here’s the sword standing alone:
Here’s Sam with the sword having an amazing time by expanding his imagination and his adoration of me and sword wielding talent:
Before I go into further detail, I’d like to know what you think about my sword. Be truthful and honest and be heard in the comment section!
Sweet Lincee….you simply need to step back and observe the above as if it was a segment on the B’ette and not you…what would YOU say about it? Ever so much more entertaining than what we’ll come up with.
Personally, I look forward to seeing your balloon art when you progress to the point of twisting up a Bachelor for us. Oh wait….that sword…nevermind.
Well maybe to a 4-7 year old it would be a sword; however, that’s not what I see…one word comes to mind-phallic…and those circular things look like
c-rings… I’m just saying. You’re probably great at this, but you need to redesign the sword.
ditto what your dad said… =o)
Bill Clinton….Monica Lewinsky…enough said.
It looks much more innocent in the hands of Sam, than alone on the table. 😀
Maybe your gifting is really in designing OTHER things.
😉
Serious though, if it didn’t droop ever so slightly on the end it might not bother ME so much (can you put a little more air in it?), but I checked with my husband and he said he thinks it is great and that kids imaginations will just be about a sword and fighting and not be thinking it looks like anything else.
Another county heard from. Thanks for listening. 🙂
Lincee – you are too funny! That sword is hilarious! Your balloon shape skills are great! You said you mastered the flower, maybe next you can make balloon roses ala Bachelor style! 🙂
Don’t make the sword for kid and family parties, save it for when you’re working Bachelorette parties – you should make great tips 🙂
its not proportional. a redesign is definitely in order…preferably before all of the little boys @ GBC ask you to make them a sword
You might save this ‘design’ if you are ever hired for a bachelorette party. just sayin’
I think you might not be able to see the, ahem, “forest” for the “trees”…. since you’ve been working so hard at your craft.
This might be a bit mature for Sam at the moment, but a great way for him to pick up girls when he’s in his 20’s.
This website will now be rated R.
is that a sword in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?……
You can make a sword and a flower?!?!? Is this in preparation for the fantasy suite dates?!?!
I knew a guy once who referenced his “sword”….i think he would appreciate your ballooning skills.
