Just…wrong

IMG00010

I know it says Okra chips in this picture, but if you notice to the left, the sign clearly reads “green bean chips.”  Someone who was mentally incapacitated for a brief moment, picked up this monstrosity and studied the contents, only to be grossed out and replaced the disgusting item back in the okra section.

Green bean chips.

How can someone take something as good and wholesome as CHIPS and screw it up by slapping green beans in the recipe?

Seriously.

Thanks to IHGB reader Stacey who sent this picture from her phone.  I admit that I threw up a little in my mouth when I opened it, but it did not hinder me from making my voice heard on my website.

Stop the madness people.  So help me if I ever see green bean ice cream…

I hate to break it to you but apparently this is all the rage in China right now:

Absolutely disgusting. I actually like green beans but not when they have been pureed into a baby food consistency, mixed with who-knows-what, and frozen…. ick! Don’t worry, I don’t anticipate it making an appearance in the US!!!

You’d be proud of me…my boyfriend offered me one, and I looked at it with disgust and said “I will never eat anything that has the words ‘green bean’ in it.” He actually REALLY liked them though… ugh!

Absolutely delicious….Central Market (at least in Houston) carries them. Green Beans, carrots, okra, squash and carrots…they are all yummy. At least try some of the other veggies..

Mmmm they are delicious… and speaking of green bean ice cream, they serve lobster ice cream in Maine, so I’ve heard…

One of the people on our trip in China had a green bean ice cream, she said it was good. I had a corn ice crean cone while we were there, tasty!!! They feel it is a way the children will eat their vegetables.

I actually really like green beans (sorry) but I tried one of those the other day and they were by far one of the most nasty things I have ever eaten in my life.

#6- was it really good? What on earth did it taste like? I LOVE corn but I can’t imagine eating that!

These appear to be the ones from Fresh Market. They are quite good, actually! I am not saying I would pick these over cheetos, but they really aren’t that bad! But, then again, I do LIKE green beans in the first place!

Who doesn’t like green beans? Who doesn’t love a squeaky when you chew it, tasteless, excuse for a food product? My rabbit won’t even eat them. Nor will my dog. HE eats anything. Including dry wall.

Ellen, you totally nailed it- they were from Fresh Market 😀 BTW, I just got into shopping there. Can I just say it’s become my little mecca??? I go in there and first off, it smells AWESOME. Secondly, it’s got the most relaxing music playing. The food is to die for, the samples are divine, I am a smitten kitten! I seriously go like 4 days a week now.

Haven’t had the green bean chips, yuck! But the okra chips are surprisingly good.
