IHGB #198: Bachelor Matt — Thank You ABC Censor Department
Well, episode 3 of The Bachelor took us to places that we didn’t really want to go to, and Some Guy in Austin and I break down some details and skip right past others.
Of the topics we do discuss, we ask the questions:
- What is Sarah’s deal, and is she coming back?
- Is Serena P. a front runner? Or is she too much of a fetus to truly appreciate the purpose of the show?
- Could Ashley Eyelashes not find any other pants in the world to wear?
- How many of these women write erotica as a side job?
We also recall the tale of when we both met Our Host Chris Harrison when he was signing his book in Austin.
It was the best day. He smelled of worn leather, three fingers of honey bourbon, and adventure.

Thank you for telling the story about meeting OHCH. The charcuterie board conversation was so fun.
I love hearing what both of you think about the show. You are the only ones who seem to share my view about Sarah. I don’t think she was trying to be manipulative. I also agree the other women being so mean to her was difficult to watch. I’m glad Katie was able to talk with her. The show can feel so manufactured that it’s nice to be able to watch genuine compassion. I think Katie gave a great example about not being so quick to judge and how to confront someone without being confrontational.
I wish Matt would have been more supportive about Sarah going home to be with her family. I like him but if he cared about her he would want her to do what was right for her.
Another thing I’ve noticed about Matt is when he kisses someone it’s like he’s playing a game of spin the bottle. He needs to look into her eyes, maybe brush back her hair and touch her neck, face or head. Anything! Matt needs some moves. I wonder what Mr Some Guy thinks. You have any tips for Matt?
