IHGB Podcast #76: Greatest Hits Albums
Happy Thursday everyone!
I’m very excited about today’s show. I’m with my sister Jamie (who you may remember from the 80s movie podcast or the dance movie podcast) and we discuss our favorite greatest hits albums.
For those of you who aren’t yet thirty years old, we explain exactly what a “greatest hits” album is in the opener. Never fear. We each chose a female artist, a male artist, and a group and explain why they deserve to be in the pantheon of greatest hits.
Narrowing it down from a list of fifty, that is not an exaggeration, was quite the task. In fact, it was one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do. And that includes the summer Jamie timed me to see if I could go get her a drink from downstairs in less that a minute.
Now that was a stressful day…

I had the Chicago greatest hits on cassette and CD. “If she would’ve been faithful ” is my favorite. Never skipped any songs. Loved this podcast .
This podcast was so much fun. I am highly impressed with Jamie’s Madonna show. Funny story about that album. My husband had my car at work one day & drove to lunch. Of course I had the Immaculate Collection in. The guys in the car wondered what in the world was this? He told them it was Madonna from the 80s – they hated it and said her newer stuff was so much better. I couldn’t believe it, I was highly offended. Youngsters!
I have had La Isla Bonita stuck in my head since I heard the podcast.
