I Hate Green Beans Podcast 6: Bachelorette Week 9

In this episode of the I Hate Green Beans podcast, Some Guy in Austin and I discuss Peter, Bryan, and Eric’s trip to Dallas to meet Rachel’s super cool family. We also talk about favorite Seinfeld episodes (puffy shirt!), what to wish for if given the chance to ring a magical bell, and Bryan’s downfall. I even refrain from editing out a dirty joke as told by SGIA. I hope you like it!

Wow. I listened to them all. I wouldn’t be surprised if you two were offered a “drive time” radio gig. So good.

You are killing it with these podcasts! It’s so fun to hear you, and SGIA’s perspective also. Thanks for making my commute so much more enjoyable.

Will you be doing every podcast with Some Guy in Austin? Y’alls conversations are just fantastic and I love the fact that it gives us a male and female perspective on the franchise. As an added bonus, although I live in New York, I was raised in the DEEP South so the accents and references and sayings made really get me tickled. So excited that you are doing this podcast.

You guys really made my night! After years of reading you, Lincee, it was wonderful to hear your voice and its melodic quality. I agree totally about Bryan. I also am a JD, like SGIA (and I don’t use Esq.)
But I am also a lobbyist in a Midwestern State for various groups, including a health care profession. The Chiros succeeded in keeping my group from being licensed ( before I represented them) because they didn’t want the competition and one of the State Senators was a Chiro! They are not physicians, attend about 3 years after an Associate Degree, but love that title “Doctor”! As soon as I saw Bryan’s profession, I admit I was prejudiced however, as the season went on, my opinion didn’t change. A few of Rachel’s family ARE licensed physicians and saw through his act immediately. If she picks this Mama’s boy, she will regret it. I’m Team Peter and I think Kenny would make a great bachelor. You two are awesome and I agree you would make a great radio duo in Drive-time. Thanks for the great entertainment.

So I do have a few comments on the “chiropractic physician part”. I, myself am a veterinarian, so i get a lot of “not real doctor”, “oh do you go to school for that?” type of stuff. I am certified in animal chiropractic and went to a continuing education course with quite a few “DCs” which is doctor of chiropractic. They do 4 years of graduate work in chiropractic school, they do regular gross anatomy and dissect a corpse just like MDs, they have more hours of radiology (xrays, MRIs, CTs) than do regular MDs, not to mention all the same physiology course work as MDs. They do similar “clinic training ” where they have to see patients, and examine and diagnose (under supervision) same way that medical students do. The major difference is they receive no pharmacology training. So, a “chiropractic physician” is an accurate title, because they do receive a doctorate at the end of their training. Just like in every profession, there are good ones, and not so good ones. Some out to make a buck and some that do care and focus on preventative medicine so you don’t have to one day have a rotator cuff surgery or hip replacement. They are truly “physicians” because they know anatomy and physiology of the human as well as how to examine, diagnose , treat and refer conditions.

This is my first time listening to your podcast and you and SGIA are hilarious! I really should not have been listening at work since I haven’t done anything for the last 44 minutes except laughing hysterically!
