Has it really been a year?

This morning on my way in to work, I tuned in to Houston’s local Lite FM station.

No judging.  They have a pop trivia game every morning and I like to play along.

As I waited patiently for the DJs, the morning drive song had me jamming in my car.  It was “Dirty Diana” by Michael Jackson.

As I was power belting the chorus it occurred to me that 8:05 is awfully early in the morning to be playing such saucy music.  And on Lite FM too!  I felt like I was drinking before noon in my bathrobe and all the neighbors were watching.

Maria and Brad soon informed me that 96.5 would be playing tribute music to Michael Jackson all day.

Has it really been a year since his death?  Since I wrote this post about my favorite Michael Jackson memories?

Time is flying fast readers.  Enjoy every minute.  He will live on forever if Hollywood continues to include him in masterpieces such as these.

Again.  No judging. You know you love Cooper Neilsen. Just admit it.

Hey Lincee~ Awe-some. There’s a 2-hr special on about MJ tonight, W/Barb Walters. It’s on 20/20. Looks like Katie Couric is doing one on 48 Hours too. I see channel flipping in my Friday night future. Sine I’m not invited to the Skyline Party in Miama..

It’s also been a year since Farah died…can’t believe how quickly this year has gone – we had just arrived in Seattle for our Alaskan cruise when we got the news about Farah, and then our son called a couple of hours later with the news about MJ. They were both too young to go.

That “pop trivia game” is the ONLY reason I listen to that station in the morning!! And then I turn it back to country. It drives me CRAZY when I know for sure what year they are looking for and none of the contestants have a clue. If they gave away money I would try to get on all the time!

Yes, Cooper rocks. And if I still had a VHS player hooked up to my TV I’d probably be watching that movie right now. Thank goodness for You Tube and people like you who remind us of fantastic dance/music movie moments. 🙂

Lincee, I can’t believe I am divulging this but our marketing and customer service team did the ‘Thriller’ dance last Halloween. We surprised the rest of the staff with it too. They had NO idea! All of the sudden, the music started and out came the zombies. It was priceless. I soooo didn’t want to do it but it was soo much fun. And NONE of us are dancers, at all. Such a great man he was. Albeit strange, but a great entertainer.

PS-This year they are planning some Boogie Shoes with KC but I think I’m going to be out of town. hehe!

Ditto what Jess said. I went and saw Center Stage in the theater and LOVE the final dance with Cooper et al. Because of the opening part with MJ’s song, I have The Way You Make Me Feel on my iPod in the workout play list. Awesomeness.

OMG I love Cooper Nielson. Who doesn’t? The way he vacuum swept her across the floor and transitioned into toe touches will live on forever!
