Men Tell All
“It’s all about peace, love and music.”
That’s how the young, granola girl who was sitting next to me explained the Newport Folk Festival tonight. You see, while you were watching Our Host grill the men of Ashley’s season, I was being schooled on the essence of “folk” by a 17-year-old who recently stopped shaving her legs and armpits because this will somehow reduce her carbon footprint on the world.
Clearly, we all had an entertaining night, but I’m going to need YOU to recap the Men Tell All in the comment section. What happened? Did Ames wear something adorable? Was Harrison dashing? Did he say something about me on national TV? Is Ashley happily married? Was Greek Groban pimped out as the next Bachelor?
I NEED DETAILS!
Harrison was great, per usual…I enjoyed when he told Ashley there were things that viewers had noticed and pointed out the large banana in her hotel room in Hong Kong and Vaseline by her bed. Chapstick? Likely story, Ashley…
I was surprised Constantine was not called out even once and did /said nothing more than his obligatory wave at the beginning.
Tim had way too much air time. Guess producers needed to let him get his actual 15 minutes of fame.
Ames was fantastic. Received the longest standing ovation in bachelor history, I’m sure. Kinda surprised that he took a job on Bachelor Pad 2. Kinda un-Ames like in my opinion.
Michelle Money barely wore a shirt and repeated the exact same thing we’ve heard 87 times about how she tipped off Ashley about Bentley.
I still liked Ryan P, despite his reveal that he brought books with him and took notes in them before he spoke with Ashley. “what to ask before you get married/engaged/etc.” weird.
William seemed genuinely apologetic, but I deem it a response to his lack of dates since the show has begun airing. He needed to clear his name so a woman would actually date him. Probably worked for him.
Also included in tonight’s episode was another therapy session where Ashley, wearing quite the number, had an opportunity to talk to her bachelor “family members” that have come before her. So glad we received words of wisdom from Mesnick….seriously??? Sidenote… I think he’s losing some hair.
Lastly, I thought the scene of Ashley being scared by the frog during the interview was hilarious. I liked her more in the bloopers.

It was a let down. Bentley WASN’T EVEN THERE! Aaannd I don’t know what it is about this show, but it seems like it’s always the contestants that never mattered in the show who have the most to say. Tonight’s example: Nick the Trainer.
At one point Ryan said, “For gosh sakes.” Best part of the night, for sure.
My beta recap: Bloopers great. Harrison dapper. William apologetic. Nick vocal. Tim redeemed. William somewhat redeemed. Bentley coward. Blake seething (go Roos!). Ryan annoying. Afraid Ryan pegged as next Bachelor. Ames charming as ever. Can’t believe he’s going on the Bachelor Pad, (but makes me more excited to watch). Ashley insecure and tearful and missing parts of clothing, as usual. Most exciting, dramatic finale ever. As always.
I agree about Constantine. He just sat there quietly the whole time.
I thought Tim actually seemed fun, but I’m glad Ashley sent him home at the beginning.
I was surprised, at first, that Ames is on the Bachelor Pad, but maybe it was just one of his spontaneous decisions. You know how he loves spontaneity!
I thought Ryan should have kept his mouth shut about all the books he bought, but at least he showed that he really tried to get to know Ashley. He seems like a really nice guy.
William did some dumb stuff during the season, but I think they were kind of hard on him tonight when they made him watch himself on screen.
Nick made some great comments to some of the doofus-y guys and set them straight, but I think he was mostly just seeking attention because he knew he wasn’t a fan favorite.
I’m glad Bentley wasn’t there. He doesn’t deserve the attention.
I could’ve done without seeing Jason, DeAnna, or Ali again.
I agree…the bloopers were the best part.
I sas surprised they didn’t get into the whole Constantine thing much…but then it dawned on me…they probably filmed this before that episode aired. Is it possible that they avoided all of that as much as possible on purpose? Otherwise word would’ve leaked out beforehand.
Also…read an interview with our favorite Greek Groban online. Since being on the show he has found love. Said he knew early on that he had a connection with this girl….something he just didn’t feel with Ashley. So I am guessing this means he is out as the next Bachelor.

I was impressed with Nick and Mickey – both defended guys who were getting harrassed and put some guys in their place. I loved the bloopers.
It was *the* most dramatic MTA *EVER*. 🙂
My favorite line? When Nick asked William why he went on the show – and William said “For the same reason we all did – because we can’t get a girlfriend.”
ABC is undoubtedly grooming happy Ryan to be the next bachelor. They are trying to show more dimension to him. Why else did they agree to let him come to Fiji and ask Ashley the question we all knew the answer of? And why would he have the hot seat last night?? Did he not get enough air time on the regular show?
Constantine spoke only briefly last night, I think he jumped into the fray when they were trashing either masked Jeff or drunk Tim.
As Tim would say, “Lawn Guyland rules tonight!”
William, you need not be so hard on yourself. C’mon, you were on the show with Jackassia Major.

Lincee, there was a blooper with OHCH with his fly down! The part about pointing out what the auidence saw (bananas, vasiline) was great. Ryan..yikes, he studied up on how to talk to someone before he came, seriously? Ames was adorable as usual but underdressed, wish he had worn the red pants. OHCH mocked his fighting ability and gave him the pink boxing gloves as a gift, said he could use them to deck Ryan…oh wish that he would have. Can hardly wait for tonight.
Toward the beginning of The Men Tell All, there was a pretty long preview for the new season of Bachelor Pad, during which we learned that Vienna is not exactly guarding and protecting Kasey’s heart (big surprise there), and apparently Ames has found a little somethin-somethin with Jackie. Ames with an artist… I think I can see that, but I’m still not sure she deserves him!
They auctioned off the masked man’s mask at the end of the show to benefit an orphanage. Sweet Aames went as high as $1,500, but was then outbid by an older woman who paid $2,000 for it!
When they showed the outtake of OHCH zipping his fly, I immediately thought of you Lincee (for some strange reason)!

Everybody hates Bentley! Bentley has psychological problems. Would not come to show. Ashley thanking everyone for journey. Ryan sadder. Much sadder. No more camp counselor. Still hurting. Allusion made to the fact that he talked about Solar Power too much in the house. Everyone still annoyed with him. Mask auction. Ames bids. Bids again. For the orphanage. I love Ames.
