Slink’s Links

When I was in fourth grade, I won the Citizen Bee award and was called up to the podium in front of the entire school. Of course the principal looked at my freakishly uniquely spelled name and enthusiastically instructed “Linky Ray” to join her on stage. I looked around for the foreign exchange student who was lucky enough to win such a prestigious award and was quickly ushered out of my seat by my teacher.

Needless to say, Linky stuck through high school, morphed into Slinky and was later shortened to Slink. To this day, a handful of people call me Slink, including my high school friend Julie, my niece and everyone standing around my niece at any given moment because she has never heard of this stranger named Lincee. And now we can add the reoccurring new category on I Hate Green Beans where I give you a list of my favorite links from the week.

That Slink chick is so thoughtful.

I wouldn’t be a good writer if I didn’t first include a link to Entertainment Weekly where I dissect a picture that The CW sent to me from tonight’s finale. You’ll want to see Rachel Bilson’s dress in this shot because I’m pretty sure it was the dress I was wearing when I won the Citizen Bee award in fourth grade.

This link made my day. Ryan Gosling wearing a t-shirt of Macaulay Culkin wearing a T-shirt of Gosling wearing a T-shirt of Macaulay Culkin. See? I knew Noah Calhoun had a wicked sense of humor!

Y’all know how I feel about Texas. And patriotism. This has to be the best Texas Monthly cover ever. Amen.

I would want to know that everything ends up OKAY with the baby elephant in this video. Trust me.

I will be tuning in this fall to ABC to watch this show. Please tell me I won’t be alone.

This is the greatest thing I’ve discovered since Suri’s Burn Book. Quinoa is my new favorite fake person.

And make sure to check out the post below where I discuss Andi’s cast of characters on MONDAY’S new installment of The Bachelorette!
