What do we think about Nick?

Please take a moment to watch this clip from tonight’s show:

My thoughts:

  1. How many hoodies do these guys own?
  2. Does Dylan wash his hair? Can one of the previous bachelorettes please score him a bottle of Suave shampoo?
  3. I hope Coach doesn’t get wrapped up in the drama.
  4. Do you think Nick is a villain?

I sure wish I understood how the producers get these guys to say some of the outlandish and cringe-causing statements they make. Personally I don’t for one minute believe he’s #1, and whether or not he goes to “hometowns” doesn’t mean a thing! The Bachelor driveway is LITTERED with guys who’ve been to “hometowns” and not made the final cut. Either Nick needs to watch a few of the finals or he needs to tuck that thing flopping around in his pants — no one, not even Andi, likes a guy who’s arrogantly confident!

I think Nick keeps getting prodded by the producers to say this stuff – maybe he assumes that if he doesn’t talk like this Andi will think he isn’t sincere and doesn’t care enough.

Wouldn’t it be fun if on the next season they have Dylan be one of the Suave people and get a new style? I would like to see Cody and Chris get better haircuts as well!

He’s just saying what is probably very apparent. She can’t really be invested in five guys…

I think:

yes, the producers are asking prodding questions (and this is as scandalous as they can possibly get because come on, they edit to make us go “oh my gosh” … THIS is so tame!!-)

yes, Nick is a bit full of himself- but confidence isn’t a bad thing. I think that ALL of the guys think they are the final/best/only one (with the exception of Dylan who has no drive at all) but Nick has less of a filter and fewer social skills… Coach and Farmer Boy have spent a childhood around males and know what NOT to say to a bunch of guys. I’d bet that Nick hasn’t been around a lot of male competition experiences… he seems genuine though.

Andi clearly has her highest hopes and best chemistry with Nick so far…

I don’t see what she sees in him. He’s creepy and too intense. The guys in the house have spent enough time with him. They know him. And they think he has other motives. I agree. Side note, gag me on the disciplinarian conversation.

@Leigh–

I know–he’s be more lenient on a son and harsher on a daughter? I don’t really like Nick, but I don’t really like Andi either. Coach was the best. For some reason (and I haven’t read any spoilers or anything so this is just a guess) I think she ends up with Josh. Her kissing him on the nose, revealed something. And she did it intentionally–it wasn’t just a miss kiss.

It sounds like Nick was doing some research before he went on the show, and was foolish enough to talk about it to the guys. After watching last night I think he is sincere in his feelings and really does care about Andi, not just “the game”. I felt like the guys were really having to work to stir up trouble.

Could Andi have smiled any brighter than she did when Josh said he was falling in love?

Coach Brian leaving was so sad – my daughter had to leave the room. Why didn’t she walk him out? And why the heck don’t they close the door so he doesn’t have to hear them laughing?

Can’t wait to read the recap!!

Nick has trouble making eye contact and he usually is wearing that smirky grin, which makes him appear incredibly insincere. And seriously, can’t Andi think through the fact that he is the only one with a rose, but he chooses to interrupt her time in another guy to feed his own ego/competitive spirit? It’s not flattering; it’s rude…

I think the show needed a bad guy, and they decided to make it Nick. We’re so manipulated by editing all the time. I’m not saying Nick is not a D’bag, but I think he actually has feelings for her.

I liked when Chris said that Nick was always “strategizing” but when Nick asked Chris to give an example, Chris said NO!

Strategizing about what? Which scarf or hoodie to wear?

I don’t really like Andi after watching this season either. Does she have any interests outside of eating and shopping? Usually the dates are full of fun and exciting stuff, all her dates have been pretty darn tame with the exception of repelling down that building… but it was a building (not a rock formation), and where was that, in Connecticut or someplace? I think this season is more boring than Des’ and I thought that was impossible.

Thank God for your recaps!

Liked the Home Town previews…

Had to smile when Andi asked Chris what she would do in Iowa….Ha! Seriously!? I have been asking that question for the last 5 weeks.

Chris is a gem, but there is really NO Future for the two of them. they do not fit into each other’s worlds AT ALL!!!!!

If you are talking hair, Nick needs a ‘do’ over more than anyone! His hair is a huge turn off, first on the list of many. Never understood why he received the first impression rose, or Andi’s fascination with him!

This whole season leaves a lot to be desired. I don’t like Andi. Never have. And Patty, agree with you. Don’t understand how he got the FIP. Usually the person who gets the FIP always gets sent home pretty early on. But Nick? Don’t know what she sees in him.

Chris the Farmer: very clear in previews next week that she made the wrong decision in giving him a rose for HTD. They have no future together. And doesn’t she display major body language/attitude when speaking with his mother?? Pretty sure that was Chris’ mother.

Shopgirl: Andi actually did call Nick out (although she was rather playful about it) when he interrupted her when she was speaking with Coach Brian. I don’t think she really appreciated him doing that since he already has a rose.

As much as I like Dylan, and i think he is soooo handsome, but that is just me…we really didn’t get to see much of him. He does seem rather ‘dry’ in personality and I get he has been through a lot in his life. It would have been nice to see more of him. Hated that he and Brian got sent home. One of them should have gotten that rose rather than Chris.

Can’t wait to see the recap!!
